Hello

I’ve started tracking BBT this cycle and Im not sure if my temps are showing that I’ve ovulated yet or not.

Im on CD15 today and I potentially had my peak OPK yesterday CD14 around 19:30.

I’ve been taking my temps at the same time every morning and my pre-ovulation temps have been ranging between 36.26 and 36.29.

This morning I had a slight rise to 36.31 so if I take my lowest temp that’s only a rise of 0.05.

I read that after ovulation you should see atleast a rise of 0.3 - 0.5.

I also didn’t have any ovulation cramps and last cycle I had really strong cramps.

So my question really is have I not ovulated yet?

That very small rise that I've had today I assume that I can’t count that as post ovulation or can I?

Thanks Smile

@Newbiemg just wanted to say I am also new to BBT charting, and have been charting from this cycle. I got my positive OPK on CD 16, but didn't see a temp shift until CD20. FF plotted my O day as CD 19. So I'm not 100% sure when exactly I ovulated, but BBT has confirmed that I definitely did. So, my advice is to keep measuring BBT and DTD until you see a definite shift. I have read that the shift can occur up to 3 days after O, and also O can occur up to 36 hours after positive OPK. Good luck x

Your welcome 😊 if you already have had a postive and you don't usually have issues with ovulating then I'd forget the opks now and wait for your temp rise, if your un sure BD until you do see that shift

@Mrsbmama Thank you Smile

I had 3 positive opks yesterday. My highest one was 1.24 at around 19:30. Test line was clearly darker than control line.

This morning they dropped down and I had one negative and then one positive where I would say the two lines are now just equal but not as strong as yesterday. That’s why I think yesterday was my peak and I thought I must have ovulated because I got a negative opk after a positive.

Perhaps I will ovulate later today and then my temps will rise properly from tomorrow?

I’ll keep testing both opks and bbt then and hopefully I see a better rise 🤞

Keep doing opks if you haven't yet had a postive. Your bbt chart will confirm you did indeed ovulate after a clear temp shift with 3 temps higher than your previous 6. Good luck 🤞🏻

I should also add that my opks have slightly dropped today compared to yesterday so I think yesterday was my peak which is why I’m abit worried that I peaked but didn’t ovulate.

Currently trying to do a 4 hour hold so I can do another OPK and see if it’s still high or not.
