Hello ladies!

I’ve been reading these threads (at all hours clearly!) I just wondered if anyone was currently in their 2WW and wanted to join me? It’s so long!! I’m ttc number 2, have a 4 year old son, fell first time with him luckily so certainly not expecting the same this time round. This is our first cycle. I’m only using an app not any ovulation sticks so not sure how many days po I am, but According to app fertile window ended yesterday. AF due 21st I only have 24/25 day cycles since coming off my pill.

Anywhoo no symptoms yet as too early! I’ve had ovulation cramps and a few nights of very intense dreams. I think the only symptoms I can remember pre bfp with my son was really really sore boobs, couldn’t bare a bra on!! And really tired.

Please people join me to symptom spot and keep each other company during the 2WW.

That sounds sensible to stop when you do because I would be the same as well. I ended up taking my Fitbit off when I was pregnant as I got worried by the heart rate and didn’t want to know anymore. Ah your cycles are a little bit variable, mine are sometimes too and can be 31 days but mostly are bang on 29. As long as you cover those days of potential ovulation you should be fine. I think I normally ovulate day 18 but that can vary too. I feel ok about it coming and just want it to start now so I can move onto the next cycle afresh, I hate waiting for it to arrive more than anything!

Shaker21 · 20/07/2022 11:47

Yeah I am purely going to try doing it from maybe CD9 up until I see it go higher and I know I have ovulated and then I will stop, I think I end up then obsessing over it in the tww if it slightly drops and I'm then like 'why has it dropped...what does that mean...it should be higher than that'.

That's interesting about the heart rate...I never knew that. I don't have a fitbit but is good to know if I fancy getting one then it can be used for that.

My cycle is normally between 27 - 31 days and I have had a 24 day one thrown in there a few months back too so is never the same every month, or at least it hasn't been yet. I've had 28, 24, 29, 31, 27 the past few months. So ovulate somewhere between CD15 - CD19.

That's good that your cycle seems to have gone back to normal. How you feeling about AF coming?

Annapolis35 · 20/07/2022 11:02

BBT is quite sensible and I totally understand! At least you’ll know for definite when it happens, let me know how you get on with it. I haven’t gone near them as I was a bit worried I would get obsessive over it. Do you have a Fitbit? It sort of gives a good indication of pregnancy and ovulation - when I did get pregnant the heart rate went up markedly. There is a bit of a pattern. My heart rate is low during my period, then slowly rises to ovulation, and then plateaus for a bit and drops for period. It’s not 100% reliable as heart rate can be affected by stress, heat, exercise but it gives me a fairly good idea of my cycle and I always know when my period is about to start because of it. How long is your cycle normally?

I think I am about 11 or 12 dpo and day 28 of my cycle. It’s normally a 29 day cycle so gone back to normal hopefully which is really good. I can definitely feel my AF is around the corner, House is great too, we’ve mostly unpacked and enjoying it.

Shaker21 · 20/07/2022 10:01

Hey @Annapolis35

How has been settling into the new house? Sorry to hear AF is on its way, I hate when the body starts playing tricks and thinking that you could be pregnant. What DPO are you today? What CD are you? Does it seem like your cycle is back to normal this month?

I am doing ok, AF is all done and currently on CD 12. Supposedly in my fertile window so just getting lots of BD in. I am tracking my BBT this cycle just so I know when I have ovulated and to know more precise when AF should be arriving. Is the only thing I haven't liked over the past few months not tracking is then thinking I know when AF will arrive, it then doesn't arrive when I think and I end up getting my hopes up slightly and then AF ends up arriving the day after anyway because I haven't been sure when I actually ovulated. So thought just doing BBT would just confirm it. So will see how it goes this cycle and if it makes me obsess more in the tww when I know for sure I have ovulated compared to other months when I am just guessing when its happened so can't obsess if I don't know for sure....if that makes any sense haha!

Annapolis35 · 20/07/2022 09:08

How are you doing @Shaker21 ? My AF is due to start tomorrow and I can feel it coming. I had a brief thought yesterday that I might be pregnant but it was clearly in my head - hate that feeling so much.

Annapolis35 · 12/07/2022 17:27

That’s good to hear, I think I’ve ready that embryos that implant any later than 11/12 days are quite likely to end in a miscarriage so I haven’t really worried about it either. Nature’s way! That’s good AF is finishing, I always feel quite optimistic around then.

I really am not sure, could be a few days dpo but could also be more than that. I think my AF is probably due towards the end of next week if I have a 29 day cycle, but last month it was 31 so it could be later too. It’s good I’ve been occupied as barely thought about it! We did manage to dtd quite a bit last week on days 11, 12, 15, 16, and 18 so had a good shot at it! Thank you and likewise you too! I’m feeling pretty relaxed so far though no doubt next week that’ll probably change and I’ll be over analyzing every twinge.

Shaker21 · 12/07/2022 16:27

@Annapolis35 Yeah my luteal phase is also about 12 days but I have looked into it and it does seem to say online that anything over 10 days is an ok luteal phase for conceiving so have not worried too much about it at the moment. I am doing ok, I am currently CD4 today so have finished up on AF yesterday afternoon/this morning so ready to carry on with the month now!

I am keeping everything crossed for you that this is your month! Do you have any inckling as to what DPO you are on or when AF could be due?

Annapolis35 · 12/07/2022 08:01

Morning @Shaker21 it has been a busy few days and I’m exhausted! I think my luteal phase is normally 12 days which is a bit on the short side. how are you doing? Where abouts are you in your cycle? I think I’m a few days past ovulation but not sure, I feel normal with nothing remarkable going on, just very tired from moving. Wee bit early anyway to get any signs. No matter what, exercising will be good regardless of TTC.

Shaker21 · 09/07/2022 09:41

@Annapolis35 That's good that it seems to have happened earlier this cycle than you had thought it would, originally it was saying it was going to be this weekend while moving wasn't it? Sounds like you got all the right signs and dtd when it counts so fingers crossed for you! At least with moving you will be super busy in the tww. Do you normally have a 14 day luteal phase?

Yeah I was thinking for the stress relieve it would help being able to go there a few times a week and do a bit of a workout and even the sauna and steam room to relax a bit. Fingers crossed it helps because I am running out of ideas lol This is the last thing I can think of the try and help so will do some exercise and healthy eating, try and lose a bit of weight and hope that helps happen!

Annapolis35 · 09/07/2022 09:03

Sorry to hear you felt low yesterday @Shaker21 but it sounds like you had a nice evening and that really helps. Beach and fish and chips sounds ideal. Yep exercise is a good idea, we do quite a bit and think that helps with everything really. Especially stress relief! We are just doing last bits of packing today and going out for a meal tonight then tomorrow all ready to go. Thank you!

Have also managed to dtd a few times so we will see. I had ewcm on weds and Thursday and we managed it both days but not sure when I ov, thinking likely Thursday or Friday which would be day 16 or 17 of cycle. I don’t know really. It is much better not tracking and takes a lot of the stress off. I’m now on cycle 3 (properly) post mc.

Shaker21 · 09/07/2022 07:58

Morning all,

So AF arrived for me this morning bang on time...I could tell yesterday from pains it was on its way so had a bit of a cry throughout the day yesterday. Went and had a nice evening on Whitstable beach with my husband having fish and chips which was much needed. So I feel like I have reset, had my cry and a bit of TLC and now I am ready for cycle 7. I am not going to be testing ovulation or temperature again this month and just going with it like the past two. It does definitely help with the stress and not thinking about it as much. We are also joining a gym to try and start exercising and losing a bit of weight and hoping that may help us over the next couple of months before it is heading to the GP time.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Good luck moving this weekend @Annapolis35

Shaker21 · 04/07/2022 10:04

Morning,

Sorry @ANP2020 that AF has arrived. How many days DPO was you? The disappointment and upset every month definitely gets harder and I totally get it with me also being on cycle 6 and AF is due this weekend and I am fully expecting it to show and don't have much hope that this is our month either. Maybe it is worth giving the gp a phone call and see if you can get an appointment.

Annapolis35 · 04/07/2022 07:14

@ANP2020 I am really sorry your AF arrived and you are feeling so disappointed. Have you thought about going to the gp? I’m so sorry you’re going through this! It’s such a horrible process. Hope you’re ok.

ANP2020 · 04/07/2022 03:45

Hey guys update, AF has just arrived. Dissapointment doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel. I really feel I’m letting everyone down, why can’t I get pregnant??? The worst is my body giving me some sort of hope every month it’s just too much of a rollercoaster. There’s something new each month! I feel like I’m losing actual hope now.

im going to be taking a break from the boards for a bit as it’s just all a bit too much for me to cope with. Good luck with all of your journeys.
I m sure I’ll pop back on once I get over this little bit.

ANP2020 · 03/07/2022 20:00

So guys still no AF. I’m not sure what’s going on. I know I should test in the am but I’m too nervous to see a BFN. It’s like my mind is letting me get my hopes up and I’m not sure I’ll cope with the disappointment!! X

OP posts:
ANP2020 · 02/07/2022 16:26

I hope not but it’s not happened for 5 cycles so I don’t see why this one would be the one especially when I feel no different! So trying to steel my self and prepare for AF to protect from the disappointment!

ahhh I’ve heard good things about that coq10 I didn’t know it could delay ovulation but then a I read a lot of vitamins do. It’s hard to know what to take for the best!

I would recommend that fertilily I used though! It’s a bit messy but no where near as bad as I imagined! I’m with u on not using OPKs next month! X

OP posts:
Annapolis35 · 02/07/2022 14:51

Here’s hoping it doesn’t arrive on Monday! That sounds so promising. Mine was late by 3 days last month but I never tested as I just knew it was gonna arrive and knew my ovulation had been late last month - had all the tell tale signs and just accepted it. I also had Covid so was distracted by that!

Yeah I absolutely love not using opk’s, might not either next month if not successful and just go by the mucus lol think that’s quite a good way of quietly tracking without thinking about it all the time. I used coq10 last month and think that may have delayed ov so cut that out this month.

ANP2020 · 02/07/2022 14:14

@Annapolis35 i know 😩even when I try to not think about it all the time. My body throws a new symptom I don’t normally have to start my overthinking!! Still no AF as of yet and no more spotting! I’ve nothing else going on nipples slightly tender if I prod! I don’t even think I’ll test tomorrow morning now, I’ll see what happens if I make it to Monday I’ll officially be late!

i agree it’s so nice not to OPK isn’t it it feels freeing!! I’m glad your jusy rolling with it! Much less stress fingers crossed.

OP posts:
Annapolis35 · 02/07/2022 12:45

Sorry to hear that @ANP2020 its the worst when you start to think just maybe this might be your month. Hope you’re ok. Think I got ewcm again today so dtd, I don’t have a clue what is going on with my cycle so just rolling with it. Is nice to not use opk’s!

ANP2020 · 02/07/2022 09:53

Slight morning update from me, still no AF but some tiny pin prick spots of blood on wiping pale pink now so I presume AF on the way x

OP posts:
ANP2020 · 01/07/2022 22:33

@Shaker21 will do will see if AF shows tomorrow that’s when my app says it’s due. Just had some slightly tinged CM so maybe AF on the way!

I like it past 5dpo because that’s when you can truly symptom spot x

Shaker21 · 01/07/2022 16:33

@ANP2020 fingers crossed! Let us know if you test on Sunday!

I am currently cycle day 20 and maybe 5DPO but that is a guess...maybe 5 or 6DPO so got a while to go yet

Shaker21 · 01/07/2022 16:33

@ANP2020 fingers crossed! Let us know if you test on Sunday!

I am currently cycle day 20 and maybe 5DPO but that is a guess...maybe 5 or 6DPO so got a while to go yet 😂🤦‍♀️

ANP2020 · 01/07/2022 16:26

Well guys as of now I’ve not had any further bleeding l! Everytime I wipe keep thinking AF will be there but nothing. So the wait continues! I guess if it was implantation I’d be able to get a positive frer in a couple of days. If AF doesn’t arrive tomorrow might test Sunday!
I’ve got no symptoms of anything No sore boobs or anything , so I’m wondering did I just catch a little
cut or something? A few forums were very variable mostly said pink cm or rusty brown but some people had fresh blood for implantation.

@Annapolis35 your cycle is doing its own thing at the moment isn’t it!! Good news about the signs though it’s maybe just gearing up a bit earlier this time!

@Shaker21 where r u in your cycle?

OP posts:
Shaker21 · 01/07/2022 09:22

@2019Mama that's good you got the positive OPK! Just the dreaded TWW now. How have you been doing?

@ANP2020 ooo God fingers crossed it isn't AF showing up early. Have you had anything more? I had heard that implantation is not normally fresh blood but you never know i guess.

@Annapolis35 that would be good if you are ovulating earlier than you thought. You can just dtd before moving and hopefully the moving will then just be a good distraction from the TWW!
