Just got home, they did an abdominal scan in A&E, saw a sac and a bit of bleeding but not much else which he said can be normal at this stage. Got a scan booked in EPAU on Friday - it’ll be a nervous wait until then!

@Ganesh2022 re your friends/IVF etc...Ive never really thought about it that way actually...interesting point! X

@Ganesh2022 thank you, I’m really nervous already 😂 and I’ve got 2 weeks of this! But at least with it being my birthday I’ve got other things to look forward to over the next couple of weeks so that should take my mind off it and help the time go quicker

@Ganesh2022 @aesgriff I also hear you on the DTD stresses, as I had a bloody 9 day flashing smiley I was quite demanding and then I feel bad afterwards but also Im like THE WINDOW IS SO SHORT and 9 days later he was like, is it really that short??

I forgot, it must be so hard to always perform when we demand it for TTC... But my obsession makes me probably quite unpleasant to be around. We are enjoying the first week of the TWW by having zero sex ha.

@aesgriff - great shout to go away, such a good distraction. Leave all the tests behind! I use clear blue purple and pink, with a boots own thrown in for the mania. To be honest I'm thinking about just been doing the pink static smiley as it makes me less mad, the flashy one is a bit much. I also always assume I have one LH surge, PCOS be damned, I can't be testing after I've had a static. I just blindly hope my PCOS is mild enough given I have regular 33-5 day ish cycles (with some supplement help now I'm not on metaformin!) What about you?

@Skl2021 I guess I’m in the tww now! AF is due 2 days after my birthday…
So if I had a peak test yesterday morning and think ovulation was today, I hope we’ve done enough! DTD tonight and Sunday. Also last Wednesday but I don’t know if that sperm would last that long. We did do it last night but with no ‘finale’ unfortunately… I can imagine how difficult it must be for DH to feel the pressure of knowing he HAS to perform in order to get something we both want so badly. But at least tonight was a success.

@Ganesh2022 act like a nutter then expect he’ll DTD on command 🤣🤣 this had me as it was like writing in a diary! I am soooo guilty of this. We fell out over it this month. I suppose if I was being asked to orgasm on demand I’d find it hard too xx

@MO22 I’m going away thurs - Sun so hoping it’ll take my mind off things. I’m deffo only testing if I am not spotting. Temping was horrible as it disrupted my sleep so much and also when my temp was still high but BFN it was soul destroying thinking I still had hope. Which OPKs do you use? Xx

@BlueForYou3 I’m going to try my hardest not to let my partner know when I get a positive OPK then try and go every other day for a few days from that xx

@calimc83 It takes a toll doesn't it...I act like a nutter and then expect that he'll want to DTD on command. Yeeesh. Really hope the counselling goes well; I think the right person can make a huge difference.

Apropos of nothing...my friends are a same-sex couple trying to conceive and I know that brings its own stresses but I'm super interested in what it's like when sex (for whatever reason..same sex, fertility help, etc) is a a known separate thing from trying to conceive (within TTC obviously...I used to be a person who had sex for fun...lol).

@Ganesh2022 Thanks for that. I spoke to my GP yest and she seemed to think counselling was the way forward for me and to avoid medication if TTC. Yeah my poor DH got it in the neck at the weekend 🙈 xx

Hi @Vhopeful I'm so sorry you're having to join; this group is lovely though. My bleeding started on 7th Jan and I think I'm ovulating today, so almost exactly a month. The pregnancy ended a few weeks before bleeding started.

Good to hear @Skl2021, do you have an appointment soon or are you waiting?
I don't know, I figured it's not really necessary to test tomorrow as either AF shows up or not, so I can test the day after? I'm nervous but also kinda calm if that makes sense.

@calimc83 I think it's definitely possible to get techniques like that...I have anxiety and a tendency to depression, and counselling has helped, though I'll admit when I'm at my lowest it doesn't make a huge dent. Honestly, the only thing that really took the edge off was a low dose of medication but I stopped while ttc (in case anyone is reading this, I don't wanna scare you, I think there are many schools of thought that say it's completely okay to continue). I feel okay-ish at the moment but I know all those difficult feelings are going to creep up in the 2ww and, when period arrives, god help my partner as I won't be very nice to live with.
