Ttc after miscarriage thread 4 🌈💞✨🤞

I'd like to jump back in if that's okay?
Got a negative pregnancy test almost two weeks ago and had a peak OPK yesterday. Could just be a random surge, as I tend to get these, but we have been DTD with not a lot of pressure anyway. My temps are not giving me any clues, and are still pretty erratic so not sure what's going on there. I'm on CD 40 so cycles are still ridiculously long, and I may not even be ovulating.

I have felt so much better these past two weeks, I thinking getting the negative pregnancy test and going into February and a new month really helped.

I'm going to keep tracking temps and if they ride I'll consider myself as PO but at the moment not feeling too confident in my body!

Yes I agree, do as much as you can now to prepare for falling pregnant @aesgriff! I have a feeling I'll still need to go private to get a prescription because my gp was useless. Still waiting for my referral to gynae to come through as well 😩 It's really frustrating that we have to push and advocate for our own bodies so much!

How is everyone feeling today? I've managed to catch up on the thread properly and I'm sorry people are having such a tough time at the moment. It's just so hard isn't it. Sending you all love x

@Bridgey8 Try not to worry. I had some bright red spotting followed by brown discharge around the same time when I was pregnant last year. I booked an appointment with my GP and they said it was very common. I had the same conversation with my midwife and was told unless there was pain and it became heavier then it was very normal. There’s no harm in giving your GP a call for some reassurance though x

@Bridgey8 It could be absolutely nothing but as you're over 6weeks your EPU should be able to get you in for a check?

Hi ladies, sending love to everyone ❤️ I'm joining this thread 18 days since my MC. I was only 5+5w and got a negative test pretty quickly after.

We weren't going to TTC again straight away, but we dtd CD13 and 14 as I thought it would take a while for my cycle to go back to normal. Now my BBT has risen the last 2 days so I think I might have ovulated day CD16 🙈 so back on the TTC train again!

I’m 13dpo and spotting is dark brown now so AF is definitely on its way. I think I’ve found it easier this month not testing all the time and just waiting for AF to arrive. I just need to trust that I’ll get my BFP again when the time is right x

@aesgriff I am feeling pretty awful, how about you? I've had about an hour's sleep as I've been awake all night feeling very anxious. I have had cramps all yesterday and overnight, felt nauseous yesterday and very emotional. Not sure if it's just a virus or its pregnancy and I think it's too early to test. When did you start with metaformin as symptoms of that tend to go away after a few days to a week I found?

Sorry for ladies who are having a crappy day. I had a very crappy day as well. This morning I was optimistic that my urine pregnancy tests were very very faint (almost nothing) since the miscarriage, so my OB had me blood HCG drawn just to confirm everything is back to normal so that we can try again. It was 47 ( two weeks back before I started my MC it was 46). This was very surprising and saddening. Now, I have to wait another week to get the levels checked and may be get ultrasound if it is not going down as expected. Just when I was excited to try again, I was back to square one. Had a good cry with DH and feeling little better. I agree the situation is pretty sh**y that we all are in. But, we are very strong and we will get through this and hold our rainbow babies 🌈

@aesgriff I hope it doesn’t make me sound cold, I just really don’t want it to be like a funeral because it just escalates the sadness of it all, if that makes sense

It really has been a weird kind of day hasn't it? Hopefully tomorrow will be less so....

We don’t want it to be a big thing, it’ll only be just me and DH. No music, no readings, I can’t bear to go through my life remembering it as a ‘funeral’ for my baby. It’s just his cremation, we’re going to be there so he’s not alone and that’s it.

@PamelaDoov I love that name; I know it from the story of King David. I hope the ceremony is everything you want it to be....and yessss, I bet the solid smiley was the highlight of your week as it was mine...never been so happy to see its stupid face.

@MO22 how are you feeling? Feel a bit sick tonight with 💩.. thinking it’s the metformin still if I’m honest as I’m not upped to 1000mg.

@Cruz86 thank you for sharing! The doctor who shared the results said to repeat on my next cycle and visit my GP 🙄 I think I may try phoning and asking for a progesterone blood test via my doctors to be put through so if I do have positive OPKs next month I can test again on 7dpo. Maybe… I’m hoping the more I can do the more likely to be prescribed progesterone. I remember the scan where we found out it was a MMC said there was a ‘poorly active left corpus luteum’ and when I’ve researched that is that not enough progesterone was being produced to ensure a viable pregnancy. Sorry that was an essay and a lot of waffle!!

Hi @aesgriff, sorry only just seen your message! Mine was 15nmol at 8dpo (in a 10/11 day lp) so sounds like we're both on the lower side 😩 I'm doing another one a few days earlier this cycle to see if that makes a difference. Did they give you any insight into what can be done? The one I had was with my gp in the end and they were pretty useless saying it was a normal result xx

@MiaGrace31 It is so hard, and you’re doing so well. Just getting up and about whilst you’re feeling like this is an achievement.
It is still very early but I totally get the temptation! I’m quite glad AF is due around my birthday, as I won’t be tempted to test early because I’ll be busy doing birthday things and having a few (more than a few) drinks.
I feel like I’m being too optimistic/excited about getting pregnant again this cycle. But I really don’t want to think about the crushing disappointment of a bfn.

@MiaGrace31 I feel like people are pretty done with me talking about it, interestingly sort of from both angles--either "I've been through it too and I don't talk about it all day" or never being through it so not quite getting it. :/
