Trying for baby number 3

Me and my husband have just started trying for our 3rd baby this month. Probably being a little bit over enthusiastic but just wanted to create a thread for anyone else in the same boat and hoping for a BFP in the next 4-6 weeks 😃

Would be lovely to hear from people hoping for the same outcome very soon!

I feel exactly the same! I always think I’d regret not having another but I would never regret a baby.

2-3 is much, much easier than 1-2!! What do you already have and what ages?

dani9031 · 07/02/2022 19:11

@RussianSpy101

Good luck OP! I am considering TTC #4 but can’t work out if I’m absolutely mental or not.
Thank you!

Hahaha that thought had also crossed my mind too, but I keep being reassured that the jump from 2-3 is easier than 1-2 🤞

I've always believed that if you're thinking about having another baby, more than you feel unsure about it, then it means you do want one 😊 obviously I know it's not this black and white for everyone xx

@Holly3 I've never used them before but was thinking about trying them this time alongside the app. Are there any particular brand you'd recommend or avoid? Xx

@Pheepa ah I will keep everything crossed for you! Please keep us updated! Xx
@Holly3 also, have you found ovulation sticks more reliable than something like an app? Xx
I have for myself as my cycles differ every month and my periods are very all over the shop! Also tried taking my temp every morning but sometimes I'm playing musical beds and then if I forget to do it the same time etc it's pointless 😩 Are you using them too?

Pheepa · 07/02/2022 16:50
@Pheepa awww that is really good and you never know, you might be just as lucky this time too! Could you do a test first thing in the morning with first wee of the day? So exciting and will keep everything crossed for you! Xx
Ah thanks, off to supermarket so will see if a first response early test falls into my trolley 😂

@Holly3 aw I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it is an early symptom! Yes much easier said than done to try and keep busy when it's on your mind constantly! It took us 3 months after I came off the implant with our first and he is 5 now. I'm hoping to fall pretty quickly but will see what happens xx

Our first was unplanned when I ran out of pills and was waiting for period to start new prescription, obviously didn't know enough about my cycle back then as we had thought we were careful! 2nd took 3 months, 2.5 years later. That was 10 years ago though as I say so not expecting it to be so easy now I'm so much older. This is our first cycle properly trying after stopping pill at Christmas. I'm 7DPO I think and desperate to test, been feeling queasy the last few days

Holly3 · 07/02/2022 16:13

@dani9031 I know it's so much easier said than done isn't it! With our first it took almost a year, second we fell the first try how about you? I'm so bloated like really uncomfortable and haven't eaten any different to normal so not sure if it's a symptom also my boobs are agony 🤣

dani9031 · 07/02/2022 16:11

@Holly3 yes definitely best to try and keep your mind busy! I remember when we were trying for our 2nd baby, it took us 5 months and every month I was a wreck for those two weeks! How long did it take you to conceive your children if you don't mind me asking? Xx

@dani9031

Static smiley even. Told you I wasn't good 😂🤦‍♀️
🤣 don't be silly! On the clearblue ovulation sticks. I'm not sure if my first LH surge was the one or the following one so no idea how many DPO I am just trying to keep my mind busy and failing miserably xx

Hello to you both 😊 it is a very exciting but equally anxious time! I'm using an ovulation app which helped in conceiving our 2nd child, so hoping this works again. Sorry, I'm not too good with all the language; what is a second smiley? 😂 hope you both have your positive tests soon! Xxx

I am TTC#3 too. I'm 38 and my youngest is 9 so a bit more anxious this time!

Holly3 · 07/02/2022 15:17

@dani9031 Hi 👋🏼 we are also TTC #3 this is our second cycle, I had a static smiley twice in the last week or so! Very confused but now just waiting to see what happens. Eeeek xx
