Trying for baby number 3

Me and my husband have just started trying for our 3rd baby this month. Probably being a little bit over enthusiastic but just wanted to create a thread for anyone else in the same boat and hoping for a BFP in the next 4-6 weeks 😃

Would be lovely to hear from people hoping for the same outcome very soon!

@HellsBellsK that’s so good to know! Thank you!! I have had a lot of negativity from people when I have even suggested a third so you saying that has made my day!!

HellsBellsK · 08/02/2022 11:13

Oh @dietcokeandchill don't say that I'm nearly 36 Birthday in April 😭

Im sure you will be fine. My Friends are 35/36 and a lot are pregnant on there 3rd and 4th pregnancies no problem at all.

@HelloNope brilliant. Love when you see it written in front of you no denying it!

dietcokeandchill · 08/02/2022 10:22

@HelloNope wow! Congratulations!!

Last time I used cheap Amazon ones wondfo and they worked well for me - cycle is quite irregular so the apps don’t work for me. Just been worried about how old I am now at nearly 35.

Hoping to see lots of positives soon! X

dani9031 · 08/02/2022 10:10

@HelloNope sorry, read that wrong, thought you meant you'd just blurted it out. Can't wait to hear how you tell him! Xx

@HelloNope

Looks like it's true! I am so excited. I'm thinking of keeping it to myself until Valentine's Day as with DC1&2 I just blurted it out.

Hope it's ok if I stick around :) x

Aw massive congratulations! So happy for you! What was your other half's reaction? And yes of course!! Xx
@HelloNope I see it too!

Hi all! I’m thinking about trying for a third too! I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old both conceived first month so I’m a little worried this may take longer as I’m 34 x
Hello 😊

Ahhh good luck, try to think positive as you may fall again straight away 😃 xx

@dani9031 @HellsBellsK Thanks ladies. I think I will do another test with first response or clearblue to double check. Should I wait until tomorrow morning though?
With DC1 &2 I just waited until my period was due to test lol

HellsBellsK · 08/02/2022 08:22

@HelloNope I definitely can see it also. Huge Congratulations ❤️

dani9031 · 08/02/2022 07:56

@HelloNope oh my goodness, yes I can! Are you going to get a first response? Looks like congratulations are in order 🎉 xx

@HelloNope I definitely can!! How exciting 😍

HelloNope · 08/02/2022 07:34

@Pheepa thank you! I might have to get a ClearBlue at some point. I can't actually believe it, I genuinely didn't think it would happen because of my short luteal phase.
I'm booked in for blood tests and to see the Dr on the 16th 😂

Pheepa · 08/02/2022 07:15

@HelloNope I def can on the first pic, how exciting!

HelloNope · 08/02/2022 07:11

Morning ladies, can you guys see anything? I think I'm going mad!

I’m 30 with an 8, 4 & 2 year old. @dani9031 I don’t think you’re nuts at all! My boys have a 19 month age gap and I love it.

HellsBellsK · 07/02/2022 20:39

@dani9031 it depends on the length of your cycle. My cycle is around 27 days so I start on cycle day 5 usually. The instructions will explain it all.

My cycles have been a little all over the place since I got the booster, 5 days late in December , 5 days early in January. Hopefully this month I am back to normal 🤞

I'm still getting use to the abbreviations 🙈

dani9031 · 07/02/2022 20:28

@HellsBellsK no don't mind at all, the more the merrier! I made the thread in the hope it would be a safe space for anyone to join for support if they feel they need it 😊

This is also our first month of actively trying I would say as December was a bit of a write off as we were just so busy and knackered!

I'm still getting my head around all the abbreviations etc, so if I need help with any, I'll know who to ask 😂

When is the best time to use the ovulation sticks? A few days before you think you'll be ovulating? Probably a daft question, I know xx
@Holly3 I stopped testing with the opk once I got my first peak because I had strong one sided ovulation pain too so was pretty sure it was right
I had my first peak on CD11 and I just didn't know as I had no pains etc then a few days later CD15 I had pains etc so tested again and it was static. So in the TWW but not sure how many days DPO exactly xx

dani9031 · 07/02/2022 20:24

@RussianSpy101 @Pheepa

I'm 31 and have a 5 year old and a 4 month old, so the few people I've told about our hopes, really do think I'm nuts, but it's what we both want and we are lucky enough to be in a position financially etc where we can do it. What about you two?

@Holly3 I will try the clear blue ones as they are the ones I'd been looking at and see how I get on with them. My period is due a week tomorrow so I'm on tenterhooks at the moment!

@HelloNope ah I hope you get a positive outcome soon and your cycle regulates! Hopefully this thread can be a safe place for you to talk openly and get some support should you need it xx

Hi all,

Do you mind if I join.

Trying for number #3. Im 35 (soon to be 36) with a 4 & 2 year old.

Fell pregnant within 4/6 months months on them. This is our 3rd cycle but 2 trying I would say. 1st month was wasn't really trying.

I have always used ovulation sticks clear blue - as the apps don't really pin point it correctly for me. Tried the IC this month. Showed peek the day before the CB.
Didn't get to DTD as much as I would have liked this month. DH hasn't been well since the day I got my peek so probably out this month.
So in the TWW wait now.

Good luck to everyone!

Pheepa · 07/02/2022 20:16

@Holly3 I stopped testing with the opk once I got my first peak because I had strong one sided ovulation pain too so was pretty sure it was right

HelloNope · 07/02/2022 20:15

Me! DS is 4 in May and DD 3 in April. Am I mad? Probably! Although I don't think it's going to happen because my cycles are all messed up :( period is due on Friday! X

Holly3 · 07/02/2022 20:06

@dani9031 I used the clearblue digital and also some cheap ones off Amazon so not sure on others you can get!!

@Pheepa Hi! Do you mind if I ask if you only saw one peak this month? I had a static smiley twice around 4/5 days apart so confused if I actually ovulated after the first one or not 🤪 I'm 32 and have two girls both October babies they are 4 and 15 months xx

Pheepa · 07/02/2022 19:47

How old are you all and your youngests if you don't mind me asking? 38 with a 10 and 12 year old is quite daunting for me!

@dani9031 I used clearblue digital this month, first time I've ever used opk. I didnt want to get to 8 months in and then find out I wasn't ovulating anymore. Found them easy to use and they gave me high and peak days which made a lot of sense. So its given me reassurance that things are basically still working as they should. Helps to know which days are most important for DTD but can add a bit of pressure on those days.
