Other half pulling out...

allthingssparkly · 02/02/2022 21:50

Just out of interest, have any women got pregnant by their other half from them pulling out after DTD?

I'm super keen to try for another baby, but other half isn't so (just at this moment in time) However we aren't using contraception, occasionally he will use a condom but when we don't he's pretty much pulling out just as he's about to 🙈🙈

@FunnyGoingsOn Exactly, that's my thoughts too, he can't mind very much occasionally only wearing a condom and then other times nothing at all. I think maybe it's because I've openly told him on more than one occasion that I'd love to try for a 3rd baby.

He knows exactly what he's doing he isn't daft 🤣 but I think he's pulling out everytime we have sex because in his head he doesn't feel ready for a 3rd!

To be fair it sounds like he can't mind that much if you get pregnant. How about putting it all down in writing and getting him to sign it so that he can never go back and say you tricked him.
I do it in a jokey fun way but it might make him think about what he is doing. He needs to realise how dumb he is being.
I think he is being unfair telling you he doesn't want another kid but then have unprotected sex. If he already has two kids then it's not like he doesn't understand what's happening.
I usually think it's unforgivable when women knowingly get pregnant by men they know don't want kids as it's such a stupid thing to do and I think it's unfair on the kid but in your case it sounds like your partner may want another kid.

Well then, congratulations in advance. 😁

allthingssparkly · 04/02/2022 09:46

@IncompleteSenten Honestly, he knows all of what you have just said 🙈 I have already told him in previous conversations that I wouldn't terminate a pregnancy, I don't personally agree with that (my opinion), he also knows I'm not on any contraception and haven't been for a while now, he also understands my reasons for this. He knows that him wearing a condom occasionally isn't going to protect me from pregnancy, we already have two children and I'm very blessed that they are both happy and healthy!

I would want him to be happy if we had a 3rd and wouldn't want it to ruin our relationship we have been together nearly 10 years!

You need to tell him that pulling out is not effective. That you are not on any contraception and don't intend to change that and if you become pregnant you will be keeping the baby so if that's not what he wants, he needs to use a condom because you don't want to hear one negative word when you inevitably become pregnant due to no protection.

It is amazing how many men don't use protection, know their partner isn't and still have the nerve to blame her for pregnancy and try to make her abort!

You may think he would be happy and he may well be, but you need to be very blunt.

allthingssparkly · 04/02/2022 09:33

@LetsGoParty Yes we will be waiting, I'm just wanting to track ovulation just so I know where I am each month 😊 because I don't know when in my cycle I'm ovulating each month and that in its self is a risk when we are having sex throughout each month and him only wearing a condom occasional times then no protection the rest of the time.

Sperm is present in small amounts as pre cum so it is possible, but odds are much less but it definitely does happen.

LetsGoParty · 04/02/2022 09:14
@Suzi888 Aw amazing 😊 I'm a firm believer in that everything happens for a reason!

I'm hoping at some point this year my partner is happy to try for our 3rd and final baby because I'm super broody! 🙈🤞
Why don't you just wait for your partner to agree to have a baby. I think it's really really bad to deliberately get pregnant with someone who said he doesn't want another baby. I know he is being an idiot but it seems so risky to bring a child into the world when they aren't wanted.

Has he given you a reason for not wanting another one. You being broody shouldn't trumpet his reason.

Think how much more positive it would be for everyone if you wait?

allthingssparkly · 03/02/2022 21:03

@Suzi888 Thank you 😊

Haha! Well we weren’t that thrilled at the time, bit of a shock! But all well in the end- good luck Smile hope all goes well for you! x

Yes I did, I was 40 and we weren’t trying.

DD is 6 now Grin

allthingssparkly · 03/02/2022 19:47

@Moonshine160 Thank you, nice to know that some else has actually used the same method!

It looks like I've come on my period 🙈🙈 I'm going to start tracking my ovulation from my next cycle that way when we are actually ttc its a little more accurate 🤞

Moonshine160 · 03/02/2022 15:07

Me and DH use condoms sometimes and then other times have used the pull out method, it’s been this way for years. I have never got pregnant from this but when we started properly trying I fell pregnant quite quickly both times. That’s been my personal experience.

allthingssparkly · 03/02/2022 08:34

@stuntbubbles Oh so sorry, I didn't realize that 🙈🙈🙈🙈 Apologies!

@allthingssparkly I wasn’t being negative? I was on your side, responding to another poster – the bold words aren’t mine, it’s a standard way of quoting another post.

gamerchick · 03/02/2022 08:17

You only use that 'method' if you wouldn't mind pregnancy. He's an idiot.

CookPassBabtridge · 03/02/2022 08:14

Yeah got pregnant twice on pre cum..

allthingssparkly · 03/02/2022 08:14

Absolutely I totally understand it's a joint decision and we have spoken about it previously.

I think we will have to have another conversation about it fairly soon regarding contraception.

I certainly wouldn't want another baby to ruin our relationship either, not that it would in my opinion but more so from my partners side.

Luckystar1 · 03/02/2022 08:12

I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant using this ‘method’.

waffle222 · 03/02/2022 08:10

Yep, we did. And my OH was told he would unlikely concieve but somehow that still happened 🙈

Although I will say, it should always be a joint decision so I would be careful of hoping for it to happen when it isn't what he wants at the moment.

X

Onthefloor2 · 03/02/2022 08:10

We’ve been doing it years and I haven’t. Doesn’t mean anything to you though as every body is different obviously.

thenewduchessoflapland · 03/02/2022 08:09

That's how I had a positive pregnancy test the week before my DH's vasectomy;that positive test is now nearly 13 and is currently creating a lot of noise getting ready for school

Goang54 · 03/02/2022 08:08

Not to "throw negativity on this op"

But you are coming across abit nonchalant about the possibility of you becoming pregnant and almost like you arent taking your parents no of not wanting another child seriously.

Now of course because he says he doesnt want another child but isnt taking any precautions it is a giant contradiction and does make it hard to take him seriously

HOWEVER

I have read SO many threads on here of women that like you wanted another child and their dp didnt whilst using no protection. They all had the blase attitude that if they fell pregnant their partner would come around. They didnt. They got resentful and blamed the woman ( of course) for getting pregnant when they made their feelings clear. They felt unheard and dismissed over the want over another child. Even though it seems nonsensical when cornered feelings can be irrational.

Please dont be one of those women that just assumes that your partner will be okay if you get pregnant when he has said he wouldnt be

Be grown up and have a talk with him BEFORE a baby gets into the mix and just discuss the obvious that no contraception means chance of baby and if he isnt okay with that you need to re evaluate things.

Or you could find yourself back on here in months time complaining that he is annoyed with you and worst case scenario wanting to walk away. Never ever assume someones feelings for them

allthingssparkly · 03/02/2022 08:06

@deathofastrawberry Thank you 😊 I haven't been tracking ovulation with test strips or doing BBT either but the app I use to input the dates of my period start and end dates also tells me my fertile window/ovulation day/highest chance of pregnancy dates. However, I'm just not sure how accurate that is as I don't use any ovulation testing.

My cycles are 29/30 days long. It says on my app that my fertile window was 17th - 23rd Jan and my period last month was 6th - 10th Jan.

I haven't got much longer to wait now as my period is due tomorrow or Saturday.
