Well we have just made the scary decision to ttc at 40! I have an appointment for my contraceptive removing next month!!
We have older dc and it just feels like the last chance, before age well and truly takes over! Is anyone else here similar age? Have you managed to get that bfp? I’m nervous that we’ve left it a little too late!

And Confused
Does anyone here check their cervix position/feel?

Cally1980 · 09/03/2022 20:20

Sorry if that wasn’t clear:
CD12 OPK -ve
CD13 OPK increasing (flashing smiley) -dtd
CD14 OPK flashing smiley
CD15 OPK solid smiley (plus cheap test solid line) + EWCM - dtd
CD16 OPK (cheap test) fading line no EWCM
CD17 (today) OPK faint +EWCM

Cally1980 · 09/03/2022 20:14

Does anyone know if EWCM continues for long after ovulation? Test said I ovulated 3 days ago, dts 3 and 5 days ago, day 6 and OPK started fading but EWCM is still present ..
What to do?

Franklydear · 09/03/2022 20:03

@Equimum no, but will in the morning, I had the tiniest bit of spotting at midday but nothing since and got me nervous

Equimum · 09/03/2022 19:55

Have you tested yet Franklydear? I have everything crossed for you!

Franklydear · 09/03/2022 12:19

Hello ladies, shit I am late, only 2 days but I don't dare hope after the losses, if you haven't scrolled back I am 44, been trying for number 2 for what feels like decades, no kidding, number 1 is 11

Equimum · 09/03/2022 11:12

Hi ladies, may I join you!

I have just turned 40 and we have been trying for 17 months. I had three miscarriages last year (12 weeks, 6 weeks and 8 weeks) and we are currently undergoing tests to see if there is an explanation. I am under the recurrent miscarriage team, but I had a call in October, a blood test in January and don't get the results consultation for those until the end of the of the month. Consequently, we have now gone private. I have bloods last week, have a scan this week, DH has tests next week and we have our consultation at the end of the month. Hoping to get a clear idea whether we are wasting our time as not sure how long we can continue with this journey. Sorry if that sound negative, but after the pain of losses, I think I just need to know if there is no hope.

Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone is aware of the benefits of taking Impryl or have been taking them? I had a mmc in early 2020 and since then have been trying with no luck then when we were both off due to being both sick with Covid-19 we fell pregnant sadly that ended with mc at 10 weeks. But it was interesting that we got pregnant when DH was on his third box. Impryl was suggested by our fertility doctor due to DH low sperm motility. Impryl also works after at least 3 months of taking it. Now I am thinking that my DH sperm is now okay but it might be my eggs that's the issue so I wasn't sure if I should take them now as well? The fertility doctor just told me to continue with pregnacare conception but didn't tell me to take Impryl instead. Any advice/thoughts please? Thank you x

@DoorWasAJar I am sorry for your phobia! It's a totally normal phobia. How would you feel if you have a planned c-section? You can explain to your doctor and hopefully they will understand.

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 07/03/2022 10:27

I'm 39 and recently had a miscarriage.

Now trying to conceive again, I really want a sibling for my 2.5 year old son!

Franklydear · 07/03/2022 09:24

I find it very reassuring that I don't seem to be that crazy for still trying at 44

MinnieMin · 07/03/2022 09:16

Hope it’s okay to join this. I turned 40 last month and we’ve been trying for around a year now. We had one MC six months ago, and my parent passed away the month after. Recently began trying again and I went for fertility testing as I have PCOS (and mild endometriosis) to be told all was okay, just keep trying. So on we continue. It was really reassuring reading the comments, thank you!

@Londoncallingtothefarawaytowns no worries, I'll have a look on Google.

Lauraliverpool · 06/03/2022 20:40

Londoncallingtothefarawaytowns · 06/03/2022 20:40

Londoncallingtothefarawaytowns · 06/03/2022 20:35

Lauraliverpool · 06/03/2022 20:15

@Londoncallingtothefarawaytowns do all the fitbit's have that for you to track your periods?. X

Franklydear · 06/03/2022 20:02

Hello, ladies, I am 44, I’ve been trying for a second for 3 years, with a loss just over a year ago, I am about to give up, sadly I don’t think it’ll happen now, but we are still not preventing so I guess still on the go, just not thinking much about it

Cally1980 · 06/03/2022 20:02

Wow I wonder why!

Shouldbedoing · 06/03/2022 20:00

J had mind at 40 and almost 44, mo hitches
But......
At 65 they'll be 25 and 21 and will have been to University during the years when I'd like to lay down some more savings for retirement.
Think long and hard about your freedom and retirement

Glendaruel · 06/03/2022 19:56

I'm 42, sitting getting my 1 year old off to sleep.....

GestationalDiabetes · 06/03/2022 19:54

I’m pregnant at 43 and do hope it goes well for you all. Just remember you have a higher likelihood of twins as you get older, I never knew that!! Though having a single baby!

Londoncallingtothefarawaytowns · 06/03/2022 19:52

@Lauraliverpool I had the old versa 2 and upgraded to the inspire 2 - the data from the app stayed the same.
You put in WHEN you’re menstruating and approx how many days your cycle is : and then it’ll become more accurate with more data x

Sunnierdays7 · 06/03/2022 19:27

Ladies I really don’t mean to boost I just want to say I am 42 and pregnant with my third. My advice is to relax as much as you can and don’t focus too much on making it a chore to fall pregnant.(easier said bother done I’m sure). Sending baby dust. Never give up hope x

Lauraliverpool · 06/03/2022 19:22

@Yellowsubhubabubbub what fitbit do you have? Do all the fitbit's enable you to track your periods?
