Hi everyone, TTC #2, cycle 6 I think. I’m really going to try to hold out until the end of the month to test, AF due 26/2 but was one day late last cycle.

Anyone trying anything different this cycle? We are going to try SMEP.

Chanel05 · 02/02/2022 16:27

Hi can I join? I'm ttc #2 and on cycle 5. My af is due around 27th Feb!

MrsGrealish · 02/02/2022 15:05

Hi ladies, hope it's ok to join. CD8 after chemical and tracking LH levels..still spotting a little so I think I'll be tracking for a bit yet

PamelaDoov · 02/02/2022 11:28

@Bubblesandballoons thank you, I hope so. Day 5 of flashing smiley. All physically symptoms perfect for ovulation, so frustrating that it won’t go static!

Coastaldreamer · 02/02/2022 10:46

CD5 after chemical and days are dragging. Wish AF would finish and can get on with the Opk testing when it's time!

Bubblesandballoons · 02/02/2022 08:49

Ahh @PamelaDoov my first is a December baby too. Hopefully you get your static soon

PamelaDoov · 01/02/2022 19:12

Me! TTC number 2 and I am waiting to ovulate any day now. Still getting the flashing smiley on my digital OPK (day 5 now!).
Really want this to work in time to have a baby by the end of the year, even if it means I end up with two December babies!

IsabelHerna · 01/02/2022 17:09

Good luck everyone! I had my first IVF transfer but I feel AF coming, so seems like I'm going for a November baby too

MrsSamRowley · 01/02/2022 12:40

@Bubblesandballoons it's funny isn't it, I know there's no real rhyme or reason to when babies come but I just have it in my mind now that they'll be early!

It's my wedding anniversary this month (8th) and the 10th is the anniversary of the day I met my husband so i'm hoping it'll be lucky for us!

Bubblesandballoons · 01/02/2022 12:34

@VolcanicProtectorMan that would make a great valentines present.
@MrsSamRowley welcome. My first was also early, so hoping when the next one comes along they also won’t keep me waiting

VolcanicProtectorMan · 01/02/2022 11:43

Thanks @pinkpirlie!

I’ve had a positive OPK test today, so im guessing I could take a preg test around 14th Feb then based on 12DPO. Exciting!

MrsSamRowley · 01/02/2022 11:28

Hi ladies, CD8 here, month 2 TTC baby number 2. I'm 36 and baby's due date would be 1st Nov. My daughter was 9 days early so in my mind this baby would sneak into end of October! Could be a Halloween baby!

pinkpirlie · 01/02/2022 09:28

@VolcanicProtectorMan
Do you when when do people do pregnancy test? Or OPK test?

Pregnancy tests: you're advised to wait until the day of your missed period, but people do test earlier but there is a higher chance of getting a false negative the earlier you test.
You usually count to the test in days past ovulation (DPO) rather than cycle days. See attachment.
The middle column would differ depending on how long an individual has between ovulation and their expected period, but this is generally 14 days on average.

OPK tests: you'd want to start around CD10.

excitedemmi · 01/02/2022 08:10

Sorry to hear that @Elle9

VolcanicProtectorMan · 01/02/2022 08:05

What CD do people generally test? Im on day 13 today so obviously not yet but I can’t remember this from last time. AF due 16th Feb

Elle9 · 31/01/2022 21:00

Wishing everyone all the best with this cycle. Unfortunately AF arrived and I’m on cycle day 2. On my 6month now and starting to feel hopeless.
Will be nice keeping up with you all though this time around!

Bubblesandballoons · 31/01/2022 19:30

@Coastaldreamer I have a clear blue digital, but I have ordered some cheap opks to see what’s going on first as I don’t want to waste the digital if I’m not going to ovulate. I had a chemical before my son and then had 2 months I didn’t ovulate, but then I ovulated after my 7 week miscarriage as normal, so no idea what to expect this time. Hopefully we will both just go back to our normal cycles 🤞🏻

Coastaldreamer · 31/01/2022 18:12

@Bubblesandballoons I was thinking that too about the chemical. I'm tracking with OPKs again this cycle so time will tell how much the chemical would have messed up ov.

Bubblesandballoons · 31/01/2022 16:02

@excitedemmi course it counts. Bet it’s exciting knowing that’s coming up.

Welcome @Miracle22 fingers crossed you get the best birthday present this year 🤞🏻

Hope everyone else is doing ok 😊. Cycle day 6 here and still bleeding 😩. Hoping the chemical won’t have messed my cycle up too much 🤞🏻

Miracle22 · 31/01/2022 13:03

Hi everyone
This is my second cycle of TTC. If I do get a BFP this cycle, then my due date would be a day after my birthday.
Baby dust to everyone here. May we all get BFPs and sticky beans real soon.

BiscuitLover3678 · 31/01/2022 11:11

Good luck everyone! He’s 2 so would be 3 or over now which is actually quite good @pinkpirlie

@BiscuitLover3678

I think it is good to be relaxed about it if you can. A midwife friend said to me being relaxed and not stressed will massively help with conception. How old is your DS?

I'm 38 and this would be #1, but we are relatively relaxed about it. We do like our life the two of us, and it wouldn't be the end of the world if it never happens for us. We went back and forth for quite a while over whether or not to TTC.

Here's hoping this is the month!

Since Summer 2020. We had a short break when I changed jobs to get me over the threshold for EMP (as I'm the main earner). We aren't going to be able to afford for me to take more than 6 months off in any case, but if I didn't have EMP it would have been weeks not months.

We didn't try last March either. The way my cycle fell last year the due date would have been either Christmas Eve or Christmas day. So I'm guessing it will be close to Christmas again this year, although I haven't checked and I have had some oddly short cycles so it may well be different. Knowing my luck, my March eggs are the good ones.

How about you?[/quote]
Sucks about EMP but you are doing the sensible thing!

Only my 3rd cycle, 4th if you count a ‘not trying but taking a risk’ that we had in November 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ds is being really difficult atm and I know we could have him so that’s probably made me less worried and less upset each cycle. Saying that, I still really want it to happen at one point and don’t want to wait so long due to other factors too.

@pinkpirlie

I'm on CD10 I will take next month off to avoid a Christmas baby, so hoping this month will be the one. Going to start BD every other day from tomorrow. Good luck everyone :)
How long have you been trying for? This month is early November, then it’s early December end then it’s 29th December due date, not great at all! I’m tempted to miss that cycle but also can’t imagine I will. Blush
