Hello!

Continuation of our last threadโ€ฆ

All of us TTC and in different cycles and stages of our journey.

Helping eachother through the TWW, through the confusing days of OPK/BBT testing and charts, through all of the symptom spotting, the dreaded arrival of AF and the BFP announcements! ๐Ÿ˜Šโœจ

January was a very lucky month for some who got their BFP and some of us are ready to make February our month!

With giggles and lots of support along the way.

Welcome!

Thank you for the welcome! I've had a really really weekend. On Friday I got a super faint line on couple of tests and spent the day debating if it was + or indents etc. Took more tests on Saturday and could still see something but it was fainter.

Saturday evening I had the worst cramps in my back I've had in years it felt like the very first bit of labour and then Sunday morning af was here so I have no idea what the hell went on this cycle?

To top it off last night I tested + for Covid which I'm gutted about because it messed my cycle up last time I had it and this evening my sis has sent me her scan pic of her pregnancy (so happy for her and not jealous just wish we were going through it together).

I'm currently cd2 and this will be our 5th TTC and I really really want it to happen soon as I'm 36 and partner is 42 so I'm a little worried about our fertility now we're older as it was 7 years ago we conceived our son.

Thanks for having me and it's so nice to talk to other people during all this as I've only told 1 friend we're TTC โค๏ธ

Pickles91 · 07/02/2022 19:40

Oh and another reason. I think you have to do BBT to get the 9 cycle money back guarantee on the Premom app!!

Pickles91 · 07/02/2022 19:38

Thank you @Newbiemg! OH is up at the crack of dawn for work, so he can be my alarm clock. Though I imagine Iโ€™ll give up after a couple of days ๐Ÿ˜‚

It wish @RMS0209!! So much eating and drinking. I feel like a detox is needed now. Iโ€™m CD8 with ov expected around Valentineโ€™s. So romantic ๐Ÿ˜‚ are you similar?? I got the easy@home thermometer just to be consistent (and it had the best reviews that I could see on Amazon without spending an arm and a leg). Iโ€™m only doing it to see if ov happens every month/which it doesnโ€™t, and see if there are any rises in the LP so I can get overexcited ๐Ÿ˜‚

Newbiemg · 07/02/2022 19:33

@RMS0209 I know same! We need off the rollercoaster and onto a nice slow merry go round or something lol

Mine a Femometer BBT one. Was only cheap from Amazon but works well I think. It stores your readings too incase you take it and forget to put it into the app Smile

OP posts:
lakejupiter · 07/02/2022 19:08

And yes as @Newbiemg says it only works if you do it as soon as you wake up - my alarm goes off and I stick the thermometer straight in my mouth. And yeah if I wake up early (like this morning I woke up at 6 instead of 7) I just take it then.

lakejupiter · 07/02/2022 19:06

Hi @RMS0209 yeah I do BBT - this is the first month I've done it properly from the start of my cycle. I started just using a Boots own brand thermometer but then ended up buying a Femometer one off Amazon as it's more accurate and designed for BBT. It took me a while to get into the habit of doing it at the same time every day but now I've got into the groove and find it really useful - reassuring to be able to see when I've ovulated and last cycle it sort of helped me realise gently I wasn't gonna get a BFP as my temp dropped quite a lot just before AF. I do have absolutely random temp fluctuations sometimes but overall there's a distinct pattern...

RMS0209 · 07/02/2022 18:57

@Pickles91 must have been a good weekend then was it? ๏ฟผ lots of luck for testing! What CD are you? I forget what everybody is.. need to have a better memory!

@Newbiemg thanks for the optimism, love it.
Ps I want off this roller coaster and on the easy one? Haha. Glad to know I'm not the only one that it's going up and down for

I was looking at a thermometer too, what type do you both have? @lakejupiter you have also do you? Would you recommend starting that too? X

Newbiemg · 07/02/2022 18:53

Sounda abit of a pain you get into a routine and get used to it. Last cycle I was taking it abit all over the place. This time Iโ€™ve done it the same time and Iโ€™ve got better results x

OP posts:
Newbiemg · 07/02/2022 18:50

@Pickles91 Iโ€™m tracking BBT. Only tip I really have is to set and alarm and take your temp at the same time every morning. You have to take it before you get up or even speak or anything so I try and set an alarm wake up take the temp go back to sleep and then I wake up for my day.

Also if you say are getting up at 7 but you wake up at 5/6 for a wee or something I would take it then before your get up for your wee.

I think you need to have 4 hours interrupted sleep for it to be accurate Smile

@RMS0209 Iโ€™m good thank you! Currently holding out to do my first test. I think Iโ€™m too dehydrated after this weekend. Will be squeezing a pee out ๐Ÿ˜‚ Oh that totally makes sense for you. No need to add more stress to the process! Itโ€™s a pain as it is.

Have just bought a thermometer. Is anyone doing BBT? Would love any tips โ˜บ๏ธ

Newbiemg · 07/02/2022 18:40

@RMS0209 I just got a 0.3 and 0.2 today down from a 0.5 yesterday. I think sometimes it just goes๐ŸŽข rollercoaster like @Pickles91 said lol. Take a break today and back on them tomorrow. Iโ€™m optimistic your peak will come in a couple of days Smile

RMS0209 · 07/02/2022 18:23

Hello @Pickles91
How you doing ?

No more testing today got myself upset and in a state earlier for no reason so just going to attempt to DTD every 2nd day until finally (hopefully) a static smiley. How's yours looking?

You guys have been fab today, thank you ๐Ÿฅฐ

Pickles91 · 07/02/2022 17:31

Wow @Bluets! The tests look great! I believe cramping is also a symptom of pregnancy, just to make everything even more stressful ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sorry about AF @Pops100! At least you have a FRER already in the house for next month.

Did your afternoon OPK get darker @RMS0209? Iโ€™m started back on them today! Will add to the line shares for ya @Newbiemg. Last month was a rollercoaster ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hi @jd1985! Welcome to the group! Iโ€™m on cycle 2 of TTC number one. This has been such a great support group! And source of cute dog pics (thank you @pops100 and @SMD16 for those!!)

Pops100 · 07/02/2022 17:04

Welcome @jd1985 xx

I hope you like dogs sometimes we post pics of our 4 legged children ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

RMS0209 · 07/02/2022 15:39

@jd1985

Thank you for sharing this thread with me! This isn't my first child I'm TTC so just wanted to check if it's okay I'm in here?
@jd1985 you won't regret it. Hope you are feeling a little better x
Newbiemg · 07/02/2022 15:14

@jd1985 Welcome! And totally fine Smile

When I first started the thread (it was another one but it got full up) I just made the title about me really lol. I was Cycle 1 and TTC baby #1 but as people have joined itโ€™s evolved and now itโ€™s just for anyone who wants some support, help and distraction through their journey.

We are all in different cycles trying to conceive and some have their BFP already and staying for the ride.

Where are you in your cycle atm?

Iโ€™m CD8 today waiting for my peak OPK and cycle 3 of TTC Smile
@RMS0209 yes try not to panic too much. Last month after my booster my ovulation was delayed and I was getting blank circles on clearblue tests and literally NO line on OPKs until CD16 (nightmare when I was supposed to ovulate then and had spent ยฃยฃ to travel to my coparent's, booked an Airbnb etc). But then out of nowhere got a peak on CD17 and ovulated CD18. I do think covid or the covid jabs can both potentially delay ovulation, but if your partner lives with you you can be a bit more flexible than us! Def keep testing with as long a hold as poss but don't worry too much, our bodies know what to do (please remind me of this in a week when I'm trying not to POAS)
Thanks for reassuring me too!! Hopefully I get that peak in the next few days x

Newbiemg · 07/02/2022 13:55

I just held my wee for 4 hours and then went for a wee and forgot to do the test haha what a waste ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

@SMD16 oh no! But least you got out for a walk bet that cheered you up!
Fingers crossed for later/tomorrow testing for you x

SMD16 · 07/02/2022 13:42

@RMS0209

I haven't drank or pee'd since 8am ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜ข
I caved and had a wee before I took the dog for a walk, but she was jumping at me as I'd already put her collar on so testing was a no go! @RMS0209
