Hi all,

Minxi - Thought I'd do what you said and start a new thread for 2008 (even though we have got a few days to go). Sorry to hear about AF but pleased your staying positive definately get reflexology going its worked wonders for me

Hope you have all had a lovely christmas

Well I am scared to type this (let alone say it out load) after last time but I got a BFP this morning!!! I am so scared and happy all rolled into one because of MC in October I so hope this one holds on.

OP posts:
Emmsy1 · 23/02/2008 05:56

I hope there are a few ladies out there today that may be testing??
I hope we can have some more BFP's soon on this thread, it will encourage others to temp! anyone testing?????????????

I have started a new thread (EMMSY1'S WAITING ROOM) I don't want to leave the conception thread's on my own, I intend to graduate to the ante-natal threads with a load of friends, so am hanging around until I get lots of BFP's on my new list! Feel free to pop in from time to time with or without a BFP!

Emmsy1 · 23/02/2008 05:51

welcome Twinklingfairy have put you on the list, you need to input your new temp daily, or tell us what it is and we will do it for you Temping (and taking notice of your cervical mucus)as far as I am concerned, is the best method to use when your TTC (I have managed to get pregnant 3 times in the last year!) its good that your cycles are very similar everymonth, it usually shows that everthing is working ok, just need to get the B/D done at the right time and hope that your fellas little swimmers reach that egg!! keep trying hun, I'm sure you will get there!

Hello, It is far too late at night for me to be on MN but I have only just got the laptop from DH.
Can I join you temping ladies and ask how acurate is it really?
I have been temping for about 3 months now and my charts are always the same, so I know I should trust them, but.....no baby Lots of BD in the days before the rise and it is a consistant rise, OV is CD17, LP is 11 days, but ....no baby[poor me emoticon]

I have a DD (17mo) and we fell first time, so I am just racking my brain for reasons where I know there just aren't any really, but you know how it is We are on cycle 8 now. CD5 .
Could you add me to your list, please.
Fridays temp was 36.41

Oh I can't get married now! I need to organise. Anyway, some really good friends of ours are getting married this year so don't wanna steal the bride's thunder Nope, I'll just put it on hold. A baby's more important to me than marriage at the moment.

yes I should just forget about the OPKs. But I've got a huge stash of ebay ones which were very cheap and I can't bring myself to throw them away

fruitloop79 · 22/02/2008 18:32

Thanks londonlottie Well I have DS so I know that it works, eventually. I'm just an extremely impatient person when it comes to things I want. We're hoping to get married Aug2009 so I was hoping to be pg by May at the latest so I can lose the baby weight before the big day. We're just gonna have to put the wedding on hold until I'm pg

Lottie Thank you - am going to take your advice! Have big plans to buy some evening primrose oil (any idea what strength?) and order some pre-seed online first thing Monday. In the meantime, I'm wallowing in self pity and chocolate digestives while drooling over Colin Firth on TV ... Hope you have a great weekend!! (waves)

Minxi I'm sorry things haven't gone as planned. Maybe the break will do you good. Word on the street is that next month looks GREAT!!!

Rattling I applaud your efforts with kitten, I do the same thing with our pup . You're right about the wind today ... would knock you off your feet! Hope you have a great weekend ... I shall expect more scientific insights on conception next week

FP Hope AF is not on her way ... take care of yourself this weekend. Hope your grump is short-lived

Have a safe & happy weekend, everyone!

FurtivelyPosting · 22/02/2008 16:17

Before I go - that looks like a really nice temperature, Rattling! Fingers crossed for you!!

FurtivelyPosting · 22/02/2008 16:14

It's been quiet here today, hasn't it?

Ready - sorry to hear that you're on CD1.

Lottie - Thanks. I think that's good advice. I've had some beige tinged CM today so it looks like I'm going to start spotting, which means that AF is on the way. Very disheartening as I'd really got my hopes up this cycle. I think in future that I should ignore any so called symptoms until I've got to at least 12DPO without any spotting. I'm trying to some up with a postive spin on this cycle - this is the first cycle I've had that has been like my pre DS cycles (always 26 days, with 13 day LP and like clockwork), so hopefully my cycles will be back to normal now. This should help with timing everything a bit better next time.

I'm off to have a grumpy weekend now but I wish everyone else here a lovely, lovely weekend.

Sorry to see the thread so downbeat. Hope you are all wrong in expecting AF along soon. And sorry Lottie that you weren't wrong .

Hope everyone has exciting stuff to do over the weekend to keep your mind off this TTC nonsense - would help if you have better weather than we are experiencing here - looks nice out the window but once you are outside it's hard to stand up in the wind. Probably for the best as I have lots of boring inside stuff to do. Shall spend lots of time playing with my kitten - so far my evil plan to make him love me more than DH is working well

See you all on Monday

minxi · 22/02/2008 15:59

Hi girls, well desite being very optimistic that this is my month... have had no peak reading on monitor and as we are having to share hotel room with ds's their hasn't been the chances that I was hoping for - so I guess thats going to be my chances scuppered again this month!! I have also forgotten to temp - oh well.
Hoep everyone else is well - am back next week so will catch up properly then
Ready sorry to see you back at cd1... hoe you are okay - {{{{hugs}}}}

Agh! Also meant to say that I think I will be back to CD1 by Monday. The 'symptoms' that I was experiencing feel much more like PMS to me today, so I'm quite pessimistic now. I usually start spotting at 10 or 11 DPO, which is a good way of knowing that AF is on the way. So, if I start spotting today or tomorrow, I'll know that I'm down and out this time.

On the plus side, if AF arrives on Monday, it will be the first time that I have had a 26 day cycle with a 13 day LP since I had DS! So perhaps I'm going back to my regular as clockwork 26 day cycles - hopefully that's the case and it will help with the old ttc.

It's such deflatingly hard work though, isn't it?

Morning all. How is everyone today? it's Friday - yay!

Lottie - sorry to hear about CD1. Fingers crossed for next cycle.

Fruitloop - sorry that your chart is still confusing. Charting is always difficult to make sense of at first because you're still trying to identify and understand a pattern and the way your body works. I think it's harder for you because of your PCOS. I don't know whether it's worth reconsidering the use of OPKs - they seem to confuse things further and are known not to work with PCOS. I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful. Maybe there is a PCOS specific thread somewhere that you could bump to ask for advice? Keep posting here, obviously!

ClairLesley · 22/02/2008 10:12

By the way, I'm pretty sure I'm out for this month ... am having strong AF cramps (due Wednesday) and the need-to-keep-going-to-the-loo-in-case-she's-arrived-feeling . Oh well, will just have to have a better plan of attack next month

Evening all. I never seem to get a chance to post until late. I will need to work out a way to surf earlier in the day, but I am always nervous of someone spotting what website I'm looking at .

Still no sign of ovulation. If anyone wants to have a look at my chart and let me know what they think is going on, I would be very grateful.
