Hi all,

Hope you have all had a lovely christmas

Well I am scared to type this (let alone say it out load) after last time but I got a BFP this morning!!! I am so scared and happy all rolled into one because of MC in October I so hope this one holds on.

nappyvalley my DP wants my next pregnancy to be a complete surprise. He refuses to believe it's that difficult to concieve and thinks it'll happen when it will happen iyswim. So except for MN, I'm in it on my own a bit until we get a BFP Which is why I need a thermometer without a beep so he doesnt realise

Morning girls....ff has put me down as ovulating - yay and when the peak was...

Hope all well - off to do breakfast, packed lunch and school runs!

freddiesyummymummy · 10/01/2008 23:14

I bought mine from the US - which is why I have to temp in degrees F!!!
It has a backlight and a beep

NappyValley · 10/01/2008 22:25

I want one that has a backlight, but the only one I can find is in the US!!

fruitloop if DP gets used to you temping everyday, he wont know if you a "good to go" or not, you can simply say - oh well there is my temp rise, that ship has sailed.! Cheeky but effective

ladylush · 10/01/2008 16:12

If you find one can you let me know. I'm not trying to be subtle but it really winds me up first thing in the morning

fruitloop79 · 10/01/2008 15:27

Hi there, Just a quick question....

Does anyone know of a good thermometer which doesn't 'beep'. It's just that I want to temp surreptitiously as I don't want DP to think I'm obsessing! He'd rather it were a surprise.

97.5 today.... my chart looks a bit weird - but I guess it'll sort itself out - TCOYF has decided to put the cover line on at 97.4 degrees - this means I have three temperatures over the line and three under (random, not three below and then 3 above)... really odd as I would put the line higher! - ah well just let the software sort itself out!

morning all! lots of crossed fingers, eyes and legs here for rah! hoping all goes brilliantly.

how is everyone doing today?

ladylush · 10/01/2008 11:02

Fingers crossed for Rah
Thanks Ready
Cheers Nappy - no horrible side effects - only the frequent bleeding. Otherwise feel slightly better if anything.
Reflexology is good. I was having it regularly and it helped with PMS and also w after my ERPC it seemed to speed up the process. Unfortunately it didn't help me conceive, but that is probably cos of the thyroid problem. Very relaxing though. It also helped with bloating etc.

Go Go Isabella!! Thanks for the update Ready. For a minute there I thought they were keeping her in for 2 nights just to shove a catheter where the sun don't shine!!!

Fingers crossed for a successful strategic strike. Statisitically they reckon there is about 18% chance per cycle, so it is possible to try IUI for 6 months. But I am sending bamboo to Coventry to ensue the Pregnancy Panda knows that this month is the right month for a mini-Rah!!!!!

LadyLush - hope you don't get too many nasty side affects from your drugs and that they get you in balance.

Minix- make that appointment, as I am curious to see any affects - I know entirely selfish reasons! I read about one in Dartmouth that lets you go for a long weekend and does you and your partner!

Ready · 10/01/2008 09:56

Sorry... she had to go in at 8.15 for her injection. Forgot that bit

Ready · 10/01/2008 09:55

I am in a bit of a hurry... so this will be brief

LP is Luteal Phase

News from Rah - Isabella decided to show up yesterday (18mm and viable and from the left ovary) and so Rah had to go into the clinic at 8.15 last night and the procedure is now set for Friday!! SOOOO EXCITING!!!! Rah is having internet problems, but as soon as she is online again, she will be back to tell us everything

Must go x

ladylush · 10/01/2008 09:42

Ooh don't apologise Ready - I wasn't offended. Lots of stuff I don't know - so better to assume I don't rather than do And on that note, what does LP stand for? Is it last period?

Morning girls..hope all is well will catch up more later but just quickly updated stats - nearly like begininng last year when we had about 10 of us temping and catching up

Rah what happened to you - are you ok ?

Ready still haven't found time to ring reflexologist - what am I doing... will have to do tomorrow now as out most of today... but I will book an appointment!!

must dash....x

Ready · 09/01/2008 23:07

Sorry ladylush - didn't mean to tell you something you already know. Hope the thyroxine sorts you out

FP, good luck. I am sure it will be a lot better than you think in your mind. Good idea to take a list with you, so that you don't forget anything in there. I am sure they will expect you to come prepared

FurtivelyPosting · 09/01/2008 21:29

Hey Ready - that's good of you to remember about Friday! I've been trying to do some preparatory work tonight but it's been filling me with dread so I've stopped for a while! I'm really not looking forward to going back but needs must for now. I really hope they approve my part time hours. I must try and spend some time tomorrow noting down all of the things I want to be clear on before going back - best to start as you mean to go on etc. It'll be strange wearing 'work clothes' again, though - I tempted to turn up in the jeans I've been practically living in for the past 6 months!

ladylush · 09/01/2008 15:11

Ladylush - 5th cycle, cd1, 35.9

ladylush · 09/01/2008 15:10

Hello Erm I think I am on CD1 (I say think cos I have been getting weird bleeding since on Thyroxine which I started taking 5 weeks ago)and this will be the second period in 4 weeks It is my first cycle temping and 5th ttc since the last m/c.

Hi Ready, yes I know hypothyroidism can cause fertility problems. Mine is subclinical but I am hoping that the treatment will boost my chances at conceiving and sustaining a pregnancy.

Thought I would fill in ttc#1

Rah - Where are you flower? Hope your broadband is working?

Minxi - I am soo chuffed that you got a peak reading on your monitor! Woo, and DH home again tonight after ANOTHER peak - good feeling!!! Did you call the reflexologist by the way?

FP - How are you doing? Are you all set for Friday, prepared for your meeting?

Nappy - You didn't happen to watch ChickenRun on C4 did you? I was sobbing my eyes out. Sorry to hear that you feel low and so unsettled Sending big hugs, and wishing you all the best with the new venture.

Welcome to the thread FYM Yep, 17 cycles is dedication to the cause. It has to happen eventually, doesn't it??? - Don't worry about temping in fahrenheit

Ladylush welcome to you too. You didn't offend anyone (well certainly not me) by posting. There is no limit to the amount of time trying, we are all in the same boat Have you been offered help with your underactive thyroid? Only the thyroid is an important factor in ttc, as far as I know. So worth looking into if you already know it is an issue?

Sorry if I have missed anyone out. It's lovely that the thread has picked up a little.

Howdy everyone and welcome to Freddiesyummymummy and ladylush. I've updated the stats list (I've shortened Freddiesyummymummy to FYM - hope that's ok) but haven't put anything in for you ladylush as you didn't mention where you are at tmep & cycle wise today.

Ladylush - I temp every morning. I find it helpful to have an overall pattern for each cycle, especially as my ovulation date is all over the place and changes with every cycle!

freddiesyummymummy · 09/01/2008 13:27

Hi can I join you - I'm temping again while TTC #2. DS is 2 now and a complete whirlwind but I'd love another!

Also did temping while TTC DS1 - I feel for you guys on cycle 17/18/19... it takes a lot of dedication to keep going - hope it goes well in 2008. I was fortunate that it only took 3 cycles last time but think it'll take longer this time as I am close to 35 and family history of infertility (Mum) and I had/have many of the same symptoms.

Anyway CD9 today on cycle 1, not expecting anything to happen for a few months but you can always hope!
Temp was 97.3 today - sorry I'm charting in degrees F!
