Morning all...

Just nipping on quickly

I have a confession,, my mind started wandering and started dreaming of a positive test... Looked into early testing and got faintest positive at 7dpo

HOWEVER - its a false positive as I was injected with HCG hormones and they don't come out your body for 10-14 days after the injection... apparently I would defo have those hormones in my system and they would expect me to get a positive now!

Obviously before I found out this info I was skipping round the house...but it does fill me with hope that we will hopefully get a positive. I don't think I have caught this month, as always get a sign at about 5-6 dpo, my cm changes and becomes watery and bitty (TMI I know) I think this is when the oestrogen is reducing as the body has not fertilised an egg and the egg dissolves. Does anyone else get this?

Anyway the hospital were meant to tell me about the testing with HCG, GRRRRRR or perhaps they might think I had more common sense than to test at 7dpo!

This 2ww is torture!

Happy birthday Ladylush!!!!!

Hope everyone else is OK.... I will log back in later.

Morning all. Well, I predicted correctly with regard to my chances of BDing last night. . Oh well. Will see if I can persuade DH tonight and hope that there's still a slim chance.

Happy Birthday* Ladylush! Have an excellent day today.

Minxi - you're at 9DPO; do you think your temperature dip could be an implantation dip? I know you said that it's not unusual but I will keep my fingers crossed for you. As I will for everyone else here - lots of good luck vibes coming your way!

Updated the stats but pls check cos it's mega early so might not be accurate.

Today I am 36

Minxi & Ready - I tried opks before and they did my head in. However, I'm not convinced that I was ovulating when I tested. Going to try from CD10 or whenever I get ewcm (sorry if tmi!) Ready - sorry to hear you're feeling so down

Nappy I've never had one of those but I believe you when you say it's grim.

Hullo everyone! Wow - has been a busy day here today and trust me to miss out! I can get to Selfridges in Brum fairly easily and would be more than happy to prop up the champagne bar!

Nappy - so sorry to hear that you've been feeling a bit crap today. I for one want to hear about your new business - it sounds really exciting!

Ready - have you ever gone under the name of Mystic Meg?! You're right on the money about ovulation timing. I think I may have ovulated today (after working myslef into a tizz thinking that I wasn't going to this cycle at all) as I had a temp dip yesterday and it's gone back up again today. Also, TMI ALERT I had a pantful of EGCM. Will just have to keep an eye on my next couple of temps to confirm though. Sadly, no chance of getting any more BDing in - DH came home in a foul mood and I wasn't exactly full of the joys of spring myself so we ended up having a mahooosive row. Things are kind of sorted out now but I expect that DH won't be 'in the mood' much tonight.

minxi · 16/01/2008 22:14

Just one problem Ready you only have a small shopping window with a baby before it gets too hectic (from experience)!!! so maybe choose one or two good shops and go mad!!!!

Ready · 16/01/2008 21:50

Oh yes, lots of retail therapy indeed Minx, I am not too fussed about the champers if truth be told, just get me to the shops ... all settled in (I was cleaning the outside of the windows today), all boxes unpacked. And very homely - and I found the thermometer , thought I would wait until my new cycle, if I start temping now in a new house, with the heating on full whack, I will convince myself I am pregnant, and that is not a good idea

minxi · 16/01/2008 21:38

Rattling sorry accidentally pressed post! Hope kitten is working out maybe the substitute animal will trick body into thinking okay lets make this really difficult and throw in baby too hope all ok?!

minxi · 16/01/2008 21:37

Ready - cheer up darling - yes it would be lovely if we all graduated similar times could all meet up with babies in the champagne bar!! only one mind then a bit of retail therapy! something too look forward to and stay positive Hope new home is feeling homely and you are all unpacked - did you find thermometer?

Nappy Hope you are feeling better - and yes clomid days 2 - 5.... although didn't work for me just made me a tad weird with all the hormones etc! hopefully it works for you! Has worked for people in rl I know!

Rah can't wait - at the weekend you may be getting symptoms!! Do you have to go back to get monitored?

Lady hope opk's working out?

Ready · 16/01/2008 21:22

Minxi, that sounds like such fun meeting up with all the NCT mums and babies. Wouldn?t it be lovely if we could all meet from here one day, with our babies of course ? your appetite does some promising and of course, doing housework is just nesting isn?t it

Rah, how are you feeling babes? Trying to remain optimistic I hope. Thinking of you. Xx

Rattling, oh my goodness, a bite through your nail ? ouch! But your kitten sounds so sweet and so traumatised, it?s lovely that you will be making such a difference in his life. I won?t suggest you take any photos, he might not be amused at the flash . Pleased to hear that you had your hsg, and very weird about the stitch, but fingers crossed it is a positive sign of something happening. And another website to have a look at soon hopefully ? I want a website

NappyValley, we are not in the slightest bit fed up with hearing about your business. It is exciting!! And we love hearing about it. We want only the best for you. But you might want to relink, as I clicked and it didn?t go anywhere!
All the best with the clomid but I understand you wanting to move ahead with the plan. Hang in there. Just think how much champagne we can all drink together in Selfridges with our new babies

Ladylush, that?s a good idea, charting your temps and some opks as well, then with any luck they will tally Don?t let the opks stress you out, that was my first mistake

FurtivelyPosting, presumably you are busy since it is about ovulation time? Hope you got a peak in temperature

I am very up and down emotionally at the moment (I know I am not alone!) I guess I am just wondering what next really.

NappyValley · 16/01/2008 20:15

tee hee hee LadyLush - but there is less mess with a smear test. It is not as painful as a HycoSy if you ever have one of those.

Have cheered up again now apologies for being so gloomy earlier.

ladylush · 16/01/2008 13:37

Nappy -it is horrible but not as bad imho as a smear test

NappyValley · 16/01/2008 12:00

bTW can I come to Selfridges for champagne too???

NappyValley · 16/01/2008 11:59

Sorry girls but just feeling so shit today.

Why can I be all calm and sureeal about it all, and then whenever I have to talk to the hospital, go for a blood test etc I feel blue and grumpy. I just nearly bite one of my colleagues heads off (at my IT job that is).
rattling my new business is launching a pre-school franchise called Talking Tots follow this and click on Southampton west for sad pic of me apologies for all you oldies that are sick of me mentioning it!!!!!!

Got my blood tests back (progesterone) and they are low but higher than before- in the 20s at least. Will have to write them down. Am back to tracking a natural cycle again this month, as it is too late to start taking clomid this month (you take it day 2-5 is that right Minxi?) So going in on mon for scan. I am not sure why this is upsetting me. I should be elated that we still have a plan of action and things are moving forward. Maybe I am still secretly hoping my cycle is fine and we can move straight to IUI - but I know that is not the case.

I am just dreading having to go through the long wait Rah had and just feel that age gap getting bigger and bigger. Calm down you silly moo it will all be fine - I am probably just thinking how delightfully uncomfortable it is having - WARNING TMI coming - an ultrasound probe shove up there covered in a condom and KY jelly!!!!!

OK rant over back to work.

Rattling I take it your DH is some sort of wine merchant then?? Let us know when it is up and running.

Ready - you blow me away with your remembering the details of everyones posts. Yes, I had an HSG last month - no problems seen but I spent 3 days with a permanent stitch in my side and ovulation delayed by about a week, so unreasonably hopeful now that something happened. And yes, I got a cat - not the 2 adults planned, but a semi-feral kitten who is coming round, but at the moment will be back hiding behind the couch ready to hiss and growl at anyone who comes close. He's so scared he is easy to grab (except on day one when I wasn't confident enough and he bit through my thumbnail) and very purry once you have him cuddled up close to you again.

Nappy - thanks for the link. DH supplies all the wine we need (and gets more than enough freebies for a couple who are trying not to drink much) but we are planning to get our website up and running this year so are looking for decent examples to get some ideas from. What business are you setting up? We've just past our 3rd year and it's still quite exciting (mostly trying to juggle money in and out so we're never quite overdrawn). Hopefully this year we'll think about getting an assistant manager in so DH can cut back on his 62 hour week

Once again I try with the personals and get back to talking about me. My NY resolution is to try to get better at that. I am thinking about you all, really

ladylush · 16/01/2008 10:17

Morning girls....

ooh Rah champagne bar sounds loverley Used to meet nct mums weekly with our first babies in HA HA in Windsor for lunch, mass baby feeding and a glass of wine !! That was a few years ago now

Ready just didn't update the earlier info correctly...got confused am on cycle 18 - since periods got back to normal - otherwise would be 36th cycle since depo jab but I just go from when I think my body returned to some normality!!! if it ever has or was Hope you are feeling okay - any signs good or bad ? thinking of you

Nappy All sounds lovely will check out that wine website although probably best not as wine drinking is far too tempting at the mo as can't seem to get pg! drowning sorrows and all that... hopefully clomid will be successful for you

LadyLush hope you ovulate soon - frustrating as it is...

flum welcome to our thread

Not feeling too optimistic this month despite the peak and timed bd...although I did eat and eat and eat yesterday couldn't stop - anything and everything, haven't eaten a thing today yet... how weird! Must get some housework done!!!

ladylush · 16/01/2008 09:54

Yes, I hope they rise cos that will mean I might be ovulating. I'm going to use opks as well.

Ready · 16/01/2008 09:52

Ready · 16/01/2008 09:41

Ladylush, 2 periods, boooo. Are your cycles usually 28 days long? If they are longer or shorter then you will be looking for ovulation at possibly another time than 12-14. Sorry if you already know that - I'd say if your temp stays roughly around 36.2° then I reckon once you get 3 temps of 36.4° then you could draw in your coverline.

NappyValley - chuckling away at your ds playing alarm clock, and preventing temping

Flum - Welcome to thread, we're all in the same league, you are most welcome 3 babies would be excellent.

How's everyone doing?
