Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

Morning all, sorry about the BFN's since I was here yesterday - I know the boat you are in only too well..........still waiting for the DR to get back to me.

Can't remem, ber who asked about being referred to a specialist, but think I will bear with them for a while. They referrred me for blood tests and took me really seriously at only 4 months ttc, so I don;t want to rock the boat now. He is going to call me back out of surgery hours so I guess he is doing all he can right now. Hopefully the specialist will have good advice (not just keep waiting!)

cockenzie · 02/12/2004 10:08

say you are pg and do an ovulation test. would it come neg or pos?

cockenzie · 02/12/2004 09:56

sorry morning paper.a stupid question but why dont we stop thinking about it? and ttc relaxed? easy to say even i cant stop thinking about it which may be the best contraception. looks like it.you just wouldnt stop pulling hair out..

morningpaper · 02/12/2004 09:10

Yingers: It is the WORST thing! I woke up at 5.30 and was so excited that no AF. Couldn't sleep so got into work early and bought a hpt on the way in. Still at least I'm the only one here so can console myself on MN.

morningpaper · 02/12/2004 09:09

to Hula who is also in limbo.

yingers74 · 02/12/2004 09:08

morningpaper, sorry too, this happened to me last month, sometimes it is very much mind over matter.

geordie · 02/12/2004 09:05

((mornongpaper)) sorry too!! ttc really messes with our heads doesn't it!

geordie · 02/12/2004 09:04

((((((Hula)))))))

sorry about the bfn.

morningpaper · 02/12/2004 09:00

What's happening? AF is one day late - this has never happened before. But I did a HPT this morning and it was a very BFN. When I got pg before I got a BFP on CD20, so I assume that if I was pg I would have a BFP by NOW wouldn't I? It is CD29. My head is all f**d. I got so excited this morning when there was no AF and now I'm all down again. Is it just the STRESS or what?

jingleballs · 02/12/2004 09:00

Hi ya I know what u mean it's just not fair is it? and whats more annoying is at 16 I had a m/c but (and heres the ironic part) we used a condom..... which split.... (I knew that night would be PG) the following day I took the morning after pill exactly as told by the nurse..... then the day AF was due got upto the clinic and the nurse confirmed i was PG, said sh'e not seen a test so clearly positive after 2 weeks! then 4 weeks after that I m/c, but the thing is thou, we weren't even trying, if anything the exact opposite. It's just not fair!, and now I think well, what if that was my only chance and now it's gone? still ho hum..... another day and we have to carry on, I think next time will try again straight after the birth of my eventual child (am trying to think this time next year I will be expecting!) - not helping the issue is the fact i'm no good at playing the waiting game!

cockenzie · 02/12/2004 08:47

When u think some women conceive just at the click of finger...why not us?

jingleballs · 02/12/2004 08:41

I've read somewhere i'm sure, (might have been from the dr thou) that even thou we're OV, and DH's sperms are OK, all is in the right time at the right place etc... you still might not 'catch' as it were.

Who eva thought concievein would be this hard! WIll keep u posted on the friend thing, (in the nicest way I do hope she's not PG as i'll be dead peeved)

cockenzie · 02/12/2004 08:18

If you have any ideas/advice...pls!!! i will do anything...i know it sounds desperate.. but brooding badly

cockenzie · 02/12/2004 08:14

cheers jingleballs

well appreciated.
i did few months ago ov kit 'predictor' i bought in boots and it detected my hormon level and did the business then, but nothing happened.Thats what made me think that b/feeding at night may suppress ovulation and did some research on internet and filled my brain with lots of stuff re: prolactin.I am just going mad

jingleballs · 02/12/2004 08:09

Jeddah - can u remeber when persona started askin u for the samples? any luck with the O yet?

Thanks MB.

ernest · 02/12/2004 04:29

hi everyone - been very busy - going away today for a few days and my little one has got an ear infection , so we've had very little sleep in the last couple of days. Phoned docs at 3 & was in at 4 - they're great & I got the very tall, unbelievably gorgeous one, so all was not bad

Anyway, welcome to all the new people on here, sorry to hear there's yet more suffering (and I mean suffering) frrom the pain of miscarriage. I've oly had half a one, abd many months of terror fearing one, so can only imagine how painful & hard it is.

jingleballs, don't feel bad for a second. who wouldn't feel ?
Have a nice few days, hope to see some bfp when I get back, fingers esp crossed for you hula xxx

Beckif, you ok? Haven't noticed you post for a while, but then haven't read all messages, just getting too long. you sounded very down .

big (((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to you and all travelling this rocky road

yingers74 · 01/12/2004 22:38

my language skills have gone down the pan!

yingers74 · 01/12/2004 22:37
