Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

Tan, what's date was the start of your last af and normal cycle length - I'll bung it throught the calculator on babycentre and we can see if dates match your thinking

Hulababy · 22/11/2004 12:20

LOL!

Yes, I am just using my temps, and monitoring CM - can't quite get hang of the cervix montioring.

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:19

sounds horrible, hope you are able to give it a miss, but equally if you do have to have it that it has the desired side effect fertility wise. W

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:19

Not really realying on the saliva test thou havent really been to confident with it yet.

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:18

Oh so thats going by doing your temp. Iam using a saliva ov test and keeping my eye out for EWCM and counting the days iykwim. I dont know this is all just too frustrating maybe iam all sexed up have nothing left in me to offer

Hulababy · 22/11/2004 12:14

Not sure really as this is only month 3 of ttc, and of being off the pill (which may skew things a bit). So far:

Month 1 - Cycle was 28 days, OV was CD18. No EWCM noted, just watery

Month 2 - cycle was 27 days, OV was CD15, EWCM noted day of OV

Monnth 3 - OV was CD17, Had EWCM just before and since. Now 4DPO

I use FF to monitor: this month and last month's charts are here For some reason it hasn't updated chart from today's data - which now shows OV on CD17.

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:13

Me too. But people have said that the clean out can help you get pg quicker after having it done this was my intention back in March when i first saw my gyno but i have been on a waiting list.

Hulababy · 22/11/2004 12:11

Hope you can avoid that then Tania.

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:11

Hula do you have the same cycle length every month regardles of when you ov???

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:09

Thanks girls.
I have no cm at all totally dry IYKWIM we tried yesterday and last night and it just wasnt going to happen. it doesnt help when you cant use any lube iykwim.
The op i will be having is a laperoscapy (sp?) to see what my endo is doing just a bit of a clean up really but dont want to have to go there cause i would think i would be out of action for a short while and dont want to miss another month of the posability of getting pg. the last one i had was 10 yrs ago so cant really remember what i was like afterwards didnt really have much of a drive then anyway as i was in so much pain from the endo.

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:07

Rigth, just nipping downstairs for a cup of tea, then gotta phone my mum, but will leave this up in case anyone around (phone next to computer)..........

Hulababy · 22/11/2004 12:05

As Twiga says too OV day can move as well. Month 1 mine was CD18, month 2 it was CD15 and this month it was CD17.

Hulababy · 22/11/2004 12:04

Not sure Tania. I did think that during time of OV your CM should get more watery or like egg white, and there may be more of it than normal.

Have you had a read of the handbook on Fertility Friend (.com)? They have FAQ section that might help.

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:03

Sorry, my typing is awful today.

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:03

{{{hugs}}} Tooks, hopeing it all works out, sorry you've got to play the waiting game, lol x

{{{hugs}}} to all of you who have been feeling blue over the weekend x

Tania, reading dwon the thread at comments made by those charting o can move around a bit within cycle, maybe that's what it is and things will kick in a coule of days later than expected. {{{hug}}}, by the way what op are you waiting for? Hope you do avoid it.....

Tania2 · 22/11/2004 12:02

I'll also admit to spending most of the weekend in tears

Runtus - BTDT You're not alone! I was sooo loony last month my DH wanted me to be pg just to try and explain my erratic behaviour. Unfortunately not so he is now resigning himself to the fact that he did marry a hormonal, emotional nightmare who is more up and down than the proverbial whore's drawers!

Still, as I tell him he'd be bored if it were any other way

runtus · 22/11/2004 10:33

Hi girls, how is everyone today? Good weekend I hope? I managed to get myself totally hammered on saturday night and (once again) ended up in floods of tears for no reason at all. What the hell is that all about??? I read a bit of the w/ends threads and saw someone else did that too - what the hell is happening to us??? I never used to cry and fly off the handle but these days I can't control it once I've had a drink. My Dp thinks he's now living with a lunatic who can't be allowed to drink.......

The shame

RudyDudy · 22/11/2004 10:22

(((tooks))) you must feel all over the place. Not sure what to advise but if you can bear it perhaps wait a couple more days before doing another test. How many dpo are you?
