Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

Woman goes into the doctors with a piece of lettuce sticking out of her vagina!.........

When she finally gets in to see the doctor............he says:

'you do know that you have a piece of lettuce hanging out of your vagina don't you?'

and the woman says.......Doctor!!!!....thats just the f-g tip of the iceburg!

Twiga · 22/11/2004 22:12

btw....I fell pg the month after I had been on an adventure hol..canoes...my first munroe....climbing...

munnzieb · 22/11/2004 21:10

right then girls, i've just done my 40 lenghts at the pool, and am now rewarding myself with a nice big slice of choc brownie cake. ... aparently excersice helps fertility.... any ideas on what excersice/ for how long?...

moschops · 22/11/2004 20:09

i'm going to wait until the weekend to test again.
the shortest cycle i've had was 40ish days. i'm still feeling a bit queasy. i'm sure my nipples have changed shape, and i have loads of saliva. i keep telling myself i'm imagining all this, i'm going to send myself crazy!!!!! thank god i have a busy week to keep my mind off it (yeah right!!!)

if i get a bfn at the weekend then i'll stop fooling myself and wait for AF.

well back to work tomorrow for me........if it's quiet i'll spend most of my day on here anyway!!

BeckiF · 22/11/2004 20:06

My OPK was feinter than ever tonight so I've had whatever surge I was going to get I think ....

Twiga · 22/11/2004 19:50

I'm kinda waiting to test CD27 here - af due tom/weds at earliest and worst case senario if body still getting over mc 2nd Dec - was going to wait until after the 2nd.

BeckiF · 22/11/2004 19:07

I wish Jeddah!!

RudyDudy · 22/11/2004 19:06

Sorry can't help. I'm in pre OV waiting time. Main trouble with a long cycle is that is seems FOREVER in between O. CD7 here and probably won't O until CD21 - am still bding anyway as read once that you can get pg at anytime in your cycle and I'm willing to try anything (Don't feel you have to tell me if that's complete bllks - the bd is a fun distraction anyway )

Who is waiting to test?

jeddah · 22/11/2004 18:42

WE NEED A BFP!!!!!!

munnzieb · 22/11/2004 17:42

((((((hugs tooks))))))) so sorry hon.

vally girl, I had my second lot of results, they were all normal, but i'm being referred anywyas,

do u guys know what happens at a first Gyno visit? (i'm a bit scared she gonna be mean to me! anyways i'll keep my fingers crossed for you .

Is anyone testing soon we need a BFP.

wilbur · 22/11/2004 16:49

Oh no! I've killed the thread!

wilbur · 22/11/2004 15:32

Hi all - too much here to catch upon, must check in more often!

Tooks - so sorry your happy news has turned sad. Hugs to you.

Wish I could give you all some good news, but still in limbo here. CD 29, and supposedly 19dpo, although I think that must be wrong as I got a temp rise on CD10 but then EWCM on CD12. Which is the more accurate way to judge OV? Also, since I am missing a fallopian tube and I understand that the egg from the ovary that is missing the tube just floats over to the other tube (how clever is that?!), does that mean that it takes longer to be in a position to be fertilised? Would that account for the delay between temp rise and EWCM? Sorry to be so technical, but I am wondering. No pregnancy symptoms either, and 2 negative preg tests (one on Weds last week and one on Saturday morning). So I guess I wait another day and if no af then another test. Cross your fingers for me.

RudyDudy · 22/11/2004 15:17

(((tooks))) glad you have a nice DH to give you some RL hugs and tlc

tooks · 22/11/2004 14:54

Hester, thank you, know that you know exactly how I feel. Went out and bought another test, still negative, but no more discharge really to speak of. Am just waiting now.

Don't think I will bother with the doctor, if I hadn't done the first early test I wouldn't have known any different would I? Except that I felt so pg, all the same symptoms as with my first baby.

Dh was lovely and insists we keep on trying as soon as we can! But for now, hugs will be enough

hester · 22/11/2004 14:34

Oh tooks, I am so, so sorry . It does sound like an early miscarriage; I am so sorry this has happened to you. You could just wait and let nature take its course, or you could see your GP or go straight to your local early pregnancy unit. Nothing that anyone can do about it, but it may help you to get a clearer picture of what is going on. Huge hugs to you, and we're all here if you want to talk.

Berolina, thanks so much for posting; I really appreciated it. You can crash with us anytime!

Moschops - sympathy.

Tania - yes, feeling randy and ewcm are both symptoms of ovulation, but IME it is perfectly possible to experience neither but get pg...

The thread is a bit gloomy at the moment, isn't it? I'm feeling very, very tired - not sure if it's depression, or anaemia, or just hormone crash, but I could sleep for a week... Could somebody give us good news soon, to cheer us all up? Please?

MunzieB - did you get the results of your blood tests yet? i went for mine this morning and was told it will be about 2 weeks before I get the results. am not sure if i even ovulated as my temperatures have been and and down since my initial temp hike.

Twiga · 22/11/2004 12:55
