Runtus- they try to push people towards mirena these days which is a v low hormone dose. My Mum has one (she's only 48) and it's seeing her over the menopause...she likes it...gets no period at all....or only one day [shock!]

I never thought that contraceptives would Stop me getting pg.....but personally i will never do the hormone thing again!! Unless it's clomid!! I'm afraid that's as chemical as I will ever get!

I have a friend that ahd the implant thing last year and all I know is I would never now have that fitted. She put on loads of weight and just couldn't shift it no matter what she did......when she finally gave in and had it removed the dr said to her that it nearly always happens that way! Thanks for the warning!!!

Never had anything like a coil though, non-chemical and quite low maintenance - or so I guess. Anyone got experience?

after ttc for 23 months last time after being on the pill on and off for about 6 years..there is no way I'd go on it again. Also makes me a super bitch.

HOWEVER,
if i wasn't planning anymore babies..I'd consider the patch thingy. I have a mate who uses it and she is much more 'even' emotionally and physically than she has ever been on the pill...apparently it's quite good!! And you only need to remeber to change it once a week!

Geordie, interesting thoughts on non-chemical birth control methods - I have been thinking about that myself (although it is obviously a long way off yet!). I don't really want to go back on the pill, as it has had such a bad effect on my body .......not sure I could trust using an ov monitor though, or that my other half would let me!

Got to call the doctors and arrange an early scan to check it's not another ectopic, but I feel hopeful and positive about it. Thank you ladies for all your support and babydust.

I'd also lke to say that prior to losing my baby in March, I was one of those people who conceived when her dh looked at her and sailed through easy pregnancies. Being on this board, if only for a few months has really humbled me as I got a brief glimpse of the pain and heartache of trying repeatedly for something that is so dear to everyone's heart, and how strong you have to be to keep going. Everyone here deserves good news and I hope with all my heart that it comes to you all very soon indeed. xxxxx

Hula- I meant to add that I will happily loan you my persona...if you are happy to post it back after you get pg.....Having had a chat with dh about what we will do after the next baby Ihave decided that i want to use it as a contraception method....no more chemicals for me and it will give us a few years to see if we fancy having any more kids (if not dh will be gaoing for the snip!).

plan worked last night...and my temp went up this am.....jackpot!! with dh only managing bd everyother day we don't always manage it on ov day!

anyway....TMI coming up but.......anyone else know much about cervical tracking.???? I have had a temp rise and think i ov last night....however cervix is still open....arghhhh have i ov'd or have i got it wrong??

Hula- I would discard the temp on cd 15 and see what happens then.....that will give you a ov date on cd 17. It is possible that you haven't ov'd yet as I noticed that you were still getting ewcm...or that you are having an annovulatory (sp) cycle (we all have them, just a bit of a pain when they occur when ttc!).
You asked about ovulation tests yesterday i think........I found them a nightmare to read...clearblue digi ones are great but tooo expensive!! I would agree with everyone else that persona is a great thing....although i gave up using mine three months before i fell pg with ds...but it did tell me when i was ov and that kept us going for 18 months!

well four days to reflexology appointment....hopefully she'll lengthen mu leutal phase by a couple of days.....

((((hugs)))) tania, Hopefully it won't come to IVF, you could always offer to help DH with his little pot! he he he, we bd every other day for the week proceeding DH's sperm count, and it was normal, I think i read somewhere if you do bd at regular intervals the sperm in healthier or something. FF has decided this morning that my data for this month cannot detect accursately an OV pattern???? Why's that? My temp hasn't risen much I know but yesterday it said CD17, now not detected. Any ideas?

here but todays data not shown yet Temp today was 36.48 so very slightly higher than yesterday.

Tania - sorry mate, pressed post before I meant to.........IVF sounds a bit scary doesn't it? Hopefully your op will sort it all out and you'll be preggers within the month....these things can happen!

Hi girls, sorry for not being around yesterday all went a bit manic at work. "Return to work after maternity" colleague was due back yesterday but the baby was ill (typical eh?!) so it all went a bit haywire here. Hopefuly she will be in today though, think she is going a bit stir crazy at home and was really looking forward to speaking to adults again!

Did another test last night cos I have been having the worst stomach ache ever, my hormones have gone totally mental and still no af - another bfn I'm afraid. So it won't be me bringing the good news this month, sorry girls. It was a very long shot anyway given my blood results but it was worth a try I guess. Thankfully I feel a lot better today, so maybe I just had a bug or something? Do wish AF would arrive now though, cd 43 and REALLY want to start my Clomid. Feel like I am trapped in some sort of time warp, Groundhog Day!!

Well just had my appointment with the gyno. Not really what i wanted to hear. First he will not do the op unless dh has had his swimmers tested which i agree so now i have to put the presure on dh to fill the cup. secondly if iam not pg with in 4 to 6 cycles after having the op he wants me to do ivf. didnt really think i would need to go that far. anyway he also said that there should be no reason why i could ttc again straight after the op once i stop bleeding i could even fall pg that month after op fingers crossed. well must go clean up for the party tomorrow at least i have ds that i can spoil for the moment to keep me sane. IYKWIM. I might try to pop in tonight for a chat if iam not too busy baking
