Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

off for some breckie!

jeddah · 27/11/2004 09:16

cd14 for me today, first time I am using my persona, so I have been peeing on a stick every morning!
Me and my dh are bding every other day (he thinks all his bloody birthdays have come at once!!) We are off to the DRs on wed to get his 2nd smaple results as forst was a bit low! (he was sat in a boiling hot tractor all morning in the middle of August when he did his first sample..........NOT IN THE TRACTOR!)

Its very quiet today where is everyone!

jeddah · 27/11/2004 09:11

munnzieb....the 3 times a week is quite easy for me........ I go on a monday day as this is my day off work (I only work a 4 day week). Then I go on a Wednesday night after work. Then
a Saturday as my dh is usually working in the morning (hes a farmer).
But I do understand its harder for other people

Beckif I am a trained personal trainer also, fitness instructor and sports therapist......and I think big women are great also!

Munnzieb, yes we have had all the tests and apart from the swimmers being slighly low, everything is fine....but I am very very irregular!

Hula......have a great weekend, good luck with FF.

Marinda.......if you are using OV predictors.....you make love (bd=babydance)as soon as it starts to show a positve. The easiest way to look at it is.........the best way is for the sperm to be there when you ovulate.
A positve means that you are likely to OV within 24 hrs (at anytime!) so bd regulary to give you best chances hope this helps!

marinda · 26/11/2004 23:30

can't spell sorry !

marinda · 26/11/2004 23:28

hi folks - thoroughly depressed with the "why cn't I question " Would reallt like some support from mums who amanaged to conceive at 38 = As I just feel like my DS will never have a brother/sister. Also anyone who uses an ovulation presictor - do you make ove as soon as you get the positive result or do you wait 24 hours ? Not sure as the instructions differ according to what make od predictor you buy. Any advice greatlt apprecdiated.

munnzieb · 26/11/2004 22:55

sorry girls, that link is not as good as I thought, tht was the net price the price after VAT is £9.34 - bloody gordon brown! it's not that much more just to go to Boots.

Hulababy · 26/11/2004 22:10

I'm already doing WW again. When I did finally concieve last time with DD I had just lost lots of weight and was really happy. Was going to gym too, but don't have time for that now at all. Been doing it for nearly 4 weeks now and have lost neary half a stone - slowly and steadily, but did involve a massive meal out (all expenses paid) so would have been more without that.

munnzieb · 26/11/2004 22:07

geordie - hon don't take it to the extreame! u need at least one bar of choc per day! lol. a Raisin are u mad, you can't substitue choc for raisins! lol,

the boss in work had one of those walker things, she's 75, she walked about 2 mile and it said she'd only done 300 steps! hopefully youre one will work!

geordie · 26/11/2004 21:47

Evening all (morning Tania)

feeling better myself cos I ov'd earlier and my reflexologist says my hormones are really strong...looking good. cd 21....so another8-10 days to go.....

think i might join the fitness challenge. Walking for 1 hour per day..swimming once per week...and eating...hmmmm only one small bar of chocolate per week (!! or am I being cruel?)...and will eat a raisin everytime I am tempted. Have also ordered a pedometre from walkers about 2 weeks ago.....

Hulababy · 26/11/2004 21:42
