@pennysays hahaha, mother's method of getting me up in the morning was no fun at the time. I was a very lazy sleepy child and I am a lazy sleepy woman now. Getting up is always upsetting.

I'm at 8dpo I think and I'm getting itchy to test 😬 I haven't tested in months so not sure why I'm slipping now. Have been following @pennysays TWW regime in terms of lifestyle choices - I'll try to do better this week.

errrr @Minster2012 that wasn't a straw in my piss-tini it was an OPK! I like pushing the boundaries as much as the next girl, but drinking piss is beyond it for me!

@BellatrixK I don't know anything about the TWW - I was under the assumption that the egg is floating about in the fallopian tubes virtually unaffected by its surroundings, which is why I like to get PISSED. I'm the wrong person to ask. How many days po are you?

Anyone else on the TWW? Ovulation day today - bonking done and now two weeks of not going crazy. PASSENGERS OF THE BUS - DO NOT LET ME TEST BEFORE DAY 14! I can't go through what I did to myself last time.

@Franklydear you dh sounds like an absolute dream. If you're sofa bound and watching Netflix then have you seen Call My Agent? Lovely, sweet french series with subtitles so good for a moment when you have nothing else to do.

@paintfairy still doing IVF 🤣 hooooooooooooooo the ovary pain is REAL and deeply unpleasant. Got another scan and blood test on Monday but the lady doing the scan on Friday said she thinks the trigger shot will happen Monday night, so things are progressing at least. I've currently got 16 large follicles and 14 smaller ones, so there are some concerns about OHSS, but there's nothing to do except push on.

@Minster2012 omg the cat throwing up on the duvet (and then eating her own vomit 🤢) was the worst start to a day. Spent a chunk of yesterday cursing her name and spreading a mix of bicarb and white vinegar on the stain to try and get it out. At the minute, the injections will continue till Monday and then we'll go from there. I look and feel like a pincushion right now 🤣

@paintfairy I'm 36, coparent is 20 years older (he looks about 40 lol but not sure if his sperm do 😂) yes it does worry me that we might not actually be achieving anything but for this month I'm going to try some PMA and visualise the union of sperm and egg!

@Somatronic my nieces are 1 and 2 and my DH is the same. Luckily, one of my best friends has boys ages 6 and 4 and they’re much more fun for him!

I’m after advice! Does anyone have any TWW tips? I’ve read about pineapple, Brazil nuts, pomegranate juice but I’m unsure whether they work. Also, for anyone who has had losses, I’ve heard that aspirin is recommended except the nurse at the EPU says she wouldn’t advise until after tests (which they don’t do until 3 losses) as it could think the blood which could affect implantation.

We spent the day yesterday with my nieces who are aged 1 and 2 and I'm pretty sure they've put DH off the whole thing.

He left the house soon after they arrived to take photos and was gone for hours!

After that we spent a few hours with my friend and her 4 month old who is very good, but I think my nieces have traumatised him haha.

Thank you all, I feel slightly better today, I changed the bed for the sofa, dh definitely a good one @BellatrixK, I had to tell him what I want done, but he’s done it, without complaint, he’s currently out with ds to get some exercise, with the scooters, so I am just having coffee and Netflix, last thing he said: don’t even think about cleaning, I’ll do whatever it is in the afternoon

@lakejupiter and @Minster2012 Oh dear… these children stories aren’t filling me with faith. DH and I are the least interested in stranger’s children. Everyone always jokes about our lack of maternal/paternal instincts! We’ll be better with our own, right? I like my nieces and my bestie’s boys. And I’m okay with teenagers (secondary teacher!).

Absolutely could not handle that pisspot @lakejupiter and @Sunbird24. My pot is far more piss friendly than that, and I still get splashed.

We had some success trying to cover the static. On Friday night we failed completely. We were both exhausted and tried, but ended up just cuddling instead. Then in the middle of the night DH woke me up to DTD. Think we missed ovulation day, but plenty around it.

@lakejupiter keep gently reminding him, but yes we totally feel the weird psychological thing of the is never a GOOD TIME, so just do it!!

@Franklydear yeah my friend's teenager doesn't fill me with joy 🤩😂

@Somatronic fab news on the ivf approval! Especially when you went in expecting a battle and she just agreed - result. Getting drunk is always a welcome relief from TTC rules - sod it!

@lakejupiter maybe another go just a couple of days after you think you've ov'd for good measure too? I usually had a 31 day cycle so ov around 15-17 but the times I conceived (albeit all didn't end well) were when I ov'd days 19,20 and 23 so I'd always recommend one more for good measure

@Franklydear argggh sorry the covid fatigue has still got you. I think I mentioned on here me and DH had it over new year. I'm fine now although took a long time to test negative but DH is massively struggling with fatigue

@pennysays my wee pot recommendation below ... where the lid sticks out is actually part of the plastic rim so a good little handle and the pots are nice and wide too. Ahhh I would agree with the splashback @lakejupiter like @Minster2012 said on that one 😂 check out my alternative yoghurt pot 😆

@Minster2012 I must say I have been spending a lot of time with my BFF's two year old this week and wondering whether AF/BFN is such a bad thing 😂 all feelings all the time.

I politely reminded my coparent that I have been for a while bunch of blood tests and barely go a day without weeing on something, taking my temperature, checking my cervix and generally prodding and monitoring myself. I said it would be extremely helpful for the process for him to get tested but it's his body so ultimately his decision. He has offered to do one of the at home kits from Boots but as far as I can see all they can tell you is whether you have above or below average concentration/count so not really sure what the point is? The likelihood is - mostly just bc of his age - he will have a below average result and have to go for proper tests anyway. Or he could get an above average result and still have poor motility/morphology and we wouldn't know about it. Maybe he's right that I worry/catastrophise too much but I'm trying to be realistic about our chances and also maximise them.

I'm a day behind you @polkadotpixie - CD7. Will start temping again tomorrow. This morning I attempted it but fell asleep with it in my mouth 😂 how did you find Isoflavones?

@lakejupiter you’ve obviously bought the same sticks I did! 😂
The spout is for pouring it into the loo after you’ve dipped, and there’s also a sort of slot on one side that you can hold the stick upright in to avoid going over the max line but I’ve never really used it
