Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

@Curlywurly3 yep also 3 days for AF here. Kinda medium flow for a day then light. I used to worry it wasn't heavy enough to conceive but dr said everything was fine and as long as that was normal for me.
Gonna get down to DTD tonight. I dont think this will be our month but would be testing around 5th Feb!!!

Brunette1989 · 17/01/2022 15:23

@Mariabombia yeh I did the premom when I got my static on Friday and the levels were really low.
Its rose today and the chart says ovulation is today which would match up, though not helpful as OH is working way.
I'll test again later and tomorrow on premom ones to see what it's doing then hopefully will get more accurate so I know where I am, though not feeling hopeful of BFP next few months as not got many opportunities xx

@Tandabear I got so obsessed the first month of trying, spent so much money and time trying to see a line that wasn't there that I've stopped doing it! I got so upset when there wasn't a line but I was only 7DPO so obviously there wasn't! 😂

Natalie2304 · 17/01/2022 14:38

@Curlywurly3 I get so obsessive with them that I lay awake at 5am waiting to get up and do them! But I ovulate around the same time every month and my CM changes at the same time so I'm going to try and not do it this month in the hope it will help me be less obsessed! (Although I'm sure I'll only obsess over something else 🙈😂)

Ahh how lovely that the girls are the same age 🥰 she is such a mother hen, she adores babies. My sister had a baby in May and she is so good with her, she adores her, so is definitely ready to be a big sister!

Sending you all the luck for this cycle. You're due to test the day before me so I'll keep a look out for you!

@Curlywurly3 spot for a day or two and then about 3/4 days of full.

Have also started walking / exercising more and am going to try and drink more this month.

I am VERY hopeful that this is my month 🤞🤞🤞 just need AF to finish and then can crack on. Going to try the "purple" method from previous threads and see how we go

Curlywurly3 · 17/01/2022 13:48

@arianasky I think covid and the chest infection really messed things up for me last month and kinda helped me rationalise why AF turned up (also could have been a hundred other reasons!) but you are supposed to be more fertile the first few months after a loss so let’s grab on to that hope!

@Natalie2304 I’m loving this water bottle I bought yesterday, I’ve already drank the water I’m meant to by 3pm! I’m weeing a lot but I already feel like I’m being healthier ☺️😂
Regarding OPK’s, I’ve had 6 cycles in total where I’ve tried to get pregnant, 3 with DD and 3 this time. I’ve had 2 CP followed by DD and then one early MC this time. The CB OPK’s seem to really work for me so will try again this month. When I get a flashing smiley I test twice a day so I don’t miss the peak. My DD is also 2 😊

@Curlywurly3 if I go from the first day of a heavy flow it's 4/5 days but I can spot for up to 4 days before. Not even enough to use anything but if you counted that too then I have a really long period!

Sorry about your miscarriage over Christmas 😞
We too all had Covid isolating over Christmas including my 2yo DD. It really screwed up my ovulation too so hoping for a calmer month this cycle!
I too also am cutting down on drinking and trying to drink more water. Also upped my vits and doing seed cycling.
I wasn't going to use OPK's this month either but will see closer to the time as to whether I can resist the urge to POAS 😂

arianasky · 17/01/2022 13:10

@Curlywurly3 I'm sorry 😔 I think mine will do the same this month

Curlywurly3 · 17/01/2022 13:07

We’re all roughly the same then, mine is 3 days too.

@arianasky I had an early miscarriage at 6 weeks in December and my ovulation was pushed back the month after from CD12 to CD17

@Tandabear sorry to hear your kids have covid and you have a temp. I had covid, chest infection and a miscarriage all at the same time in December and we were in isolation for Christmas Day, it was rubbish!!! It still doesn’t rule you out though, when are you going to test?

@Mariabombia also still getting O on clearblue and low on Premom I ovulated CD13 last month and I'm CD12 today so a bit strange but guessing it could be due to my CP last month? But I have got some EWCM today and twinges so who knows?

kizzy97 · 17/01/2022 12:55

@Curlywurly3 3 days for me but then I spot for a 2-3 days before I start

@Brunette1989 @arianasky

I'm using clear blue advanced this month & first time using pre mom too! ( seen a lot of people on here recommend them)

I'm in my fertile week, O due this Friday coming, but I'm still getting negatives on CB and my Premom score thing looks very similar to yours brunette. I'm sure this time last month I was getting flashing smileys by this point.

I'm expecting it/ hoping it starts to rise soon :/

Brunette did you do a pre mom test when you got your static on Friday?

Also I'm testing day after both you ladies 😁 glad to have others at a similar point in their cycle.

@Curlywurly3 mines only 2 days with a couple of days of spotting after. It's usually quite heavy on the first day. I was thinking I might discuss this with the doctor as it seems rather short but I have read & discussed with some others on here that already have children that it can be normal.

arianasky · 17/01/2022 11:48

@Curlywurly3 mine is 5 days 2/3 heavy then lighter the last two, I'm also cutting down drinking having a chemical the beginning of the month makes me think the drink over Christmas (before I knew I was pregnant)affected it obviously may not be that but i got in my own head about it.

arianasky · 17/01/2022 11:45

@Brunette1989 ooh testing twins fingers crossed for us 🤞🏻 I've used the clearblue twice and got pregnant the twice I used it unfortunately I lost both pregnancies but I do think it's accurate, and I agree it's draining it's like it's all I can think about sometimes

Tinkerbell098 · 17/01/2022 11:35

@Curlywurly3 mine is about 3 days. First day is medium, next two quite light.

Bringonbaby3 · 17/01/2022 11:20

Mine is usually about 5/6 days but only heavy for 2-3 days. Sometimes I also get spotting before/after for a day or so.

Queenkai14 · 17/01/2022 11:15

My periods always last 3 days

BigAlice · 17/01/2022 11:11

@Curlywurly3 mine is 5 days, starts off heaving and then tapers off

MummyMe87 · 17/01/2022 10:28

@Curlywurly3 mine used to be 5 days, then had a mirena coil and would be like 4-7days of very light, coil out in November time and I’ve had three periods I think, seems to be 3-4days, but fairly heavy at the start which I’m not used to. I ovulate about CD13

Curlywurly3 · 17/01/2022 10:10

Just out of interest, how long does everyone’s AF go on for?

Curlywurly3 · 17/01/2022 09:42

Morning everyone! I hope you all had a good go at enjoying your weekend.

Welcome to all new joiners, some names I recognise and some new ones too. Here’s hoping February is our month! 🤞🏻

I made plans to see lots of friends over the weekend to take my mind off TTC. I even went to the gym for the first time in a good while (then I started to wonder how exercising and using the spa may affect TTC 🤦🏼‍♀️)
I’ve bought one of those 2.2L water bottles that has time stamps on it to remind you to drink the daily recommendation.
I’m also going to cut down on drinking as DH and I do tend to have wine most nights with dinner. I did get pregnant with DD without making any changes but I think it’s the right thing to do. I’ve had 2 chemicals and an early miscarriage so wondering if alcohol could be a factor… Gosh I sound like a right lush! 🙈
CD4 today and AF is wrapping up. I usually O around CD12 so will start using OPK’s soon.
