Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

@Tinkerbell098 @Natalie2304 @Cookiedough123 thank you for the advise, think I'll start off with everyday once af is finished as idk now if this was a dodgy cycle or if it's now suddenly just changed on me

@oldermam those are the ones I've got and the app as well, do you pay for the membership? Does the app work as well if you don't?

@Decaffe I'm really sorry to hear you've not received good news ☹️ I really hope that there's options available to you. Big hugs

oldermam · 20/01/2022 07:51

@kizzy97

I use easy@home ones. And the premom app. I test once a day once af has finished. Then my fertile window I test twice a day, around 11am and 6pm.

@Decaffe sorry to hear you've had not so good news 😩 is fertility treatment an option? X

oldermam · 20/01/2022 07:36

Morning ladies.

Moving over. AF arrived. A day late. Only cycle #4. TTC number 4 for me. Number 1 for OH. (7mcs over the years)

DancinOnTheCeiling · 20/01/2022 07:27

I’m so sorry @Decaffe, you sound very sad and disappointed which is completely understandable. I don’t know anything about these tests, are the results finite or are there things that can be done? My DH was googling supplements to help with sperm count the other day (I don’t know if that’s the same thing, forgive my ignorance), would that be something to look into? I’m not meaning to give false hope, and you’re completely entitled to feel sad/angry/miserable etc. Sending lots of love xx

Purpleflowers17 · 19/01/2022 21:48

Good Evening Ladies 👋🏻

Can I join please? TTC baby #1 Cylce 2. AF arrived 6 days early this month always the way regular months for years and then TTC and body does crazy things. I did have covid though so maybe that had an impact? 🤔

CD4 so looking forward to AF ending next stop FW OPKs at the ready 😂

Worryant · 19/01/2022 19:43

@Natalie2304 Thank you for the welcome! My DD is 3.5, she was a honeymoon baby and we fell immediately so I wasn’t sure whether to give it a couple of cycles and then start testing etc if it didn’t happen right away. So hard to know if it was a total fluke and we may struggle a bit this time. I have tracked periods for years and I think I know from symptoms roughly when I’m fertile but maybe I should be testing right away. Xx

Natalie2304 · 19/01/2022 19:26

@Worryant welcome 😀 if I were you I'd probably start using OPK's now if you aren't sure when you ovulate.
How old is your DD? Xx

BigAlice · 19/01/2022 19:25

@Decaffe I know it’s kind of a last resort but have you considered IVF? Is that an option maybe?

Worryant · 19/01/2022 19:13

Hello everyone! Could I join the thread? This is my first cycle TTC, with baby #2. I’ve not done any OPK testing or temp checking before so hoping to understand a bit more in case me being a few years older than I was with DD means it takes a bit longer to happen. I’m on day 11 of my cycle but not sure when I’m due to OV, think it’s probably Thursday or Friday.
It’s nice having a group to talk to as I’m not really telling people in real life. X

Natalie2304 · 19/01/2022 17:09

@Decaffe oh I'm sorry to hear you've been disheartened by your results.
I was watching a video earlier about conception cups and it mentioned that they are really helpful for low sperm count as 30% more sperm enters the cervix, don't know if you already use one or whether you think it's worth a shot but I guess it can't help!

Decaffe · 19/01/2022 17:01

So tonight is meant to be the first time we DTD this cycle and I simply can’t be bothered as there’s no point.

DH has only 2% morphology and I got my Day 4 blood test back yesterday which shows a raised FSH of 9.5 which is not good, apparently.

So I just think what is the bloody point? 98% of his sperm are wonky, broken, headless or otherwise abnormal, then the 2% that are ok have to contend with old crappy eggs.

It breaks my heart that we weren’t in a position to start trying before now.

Cookiedough123 · 19/01/2022 16:55

@kizzy97 I read something that said for your first month start testing from after your period. So yesterday I was slightly spotting so I did it today. I am going to do it every day until at least a few days after the peak. If it doesn't work this time then next month I will start a few days close to O day.

Natalie2304 · 19/01/2022 14:35

@kizzy97 if you're not sure when you usually ovulate I'd start around CD10, it's unlikely you'd ovulate before then unless you had a very very short cycle!

Tinkerbell098 · 19/01/2022 14:26

@kizzy97 the only OPKs I've ever used are the Clearblue advanced. The first month I used them, I started on CD10 as my cycles are 30 days and I expect O day around CD17, so gave me a good few days to catch it. You can adjust it according to your cycle days. After a couple of month of using, I now understand my cycle well, so only test from about CD14 so I'm not using too many sticks. So I get about one black circle, one flashing smiley and a static smiley.

kizzy97 · 19/01/2022 14:21

Could someone just advise me on when to start testing with OPKs? First time ever using them this month

Natalie2304 · 19/01/2022 14:15

I don't think there is any pattern to it. What's more important is doing it regularly I think. With DD we DTD on CD 9,10,11 and 14 and I OV'd on CD12.

I ovulate a bit later these days on CD16 so would mean DTD on CD 13,14,15 and 18 but we've already more or less done that and it's not worked.

I am also on CD6 today and DTD last night (even though I know that won't do anything but just trying to do every 2/3 days from now until AF and then hopefully won't miss it! Lucky DH 🙈😂

Cookiedough123 · 19/01/2022 14:10

Also CD6 and did my first OPK test today. It was obviously low but I was so excited doing it .. how sad 😂 now I just can't wait for that peak time!

kizzy97 · 19/01/2022 13:41

AFs come for me today so CD1 again. Maybe cycle 4 will be it

Curlywurly3 · 19/01/2022 13:34

@Purple29 I’ve just looked back to when I got my BFP with DD. We DTD on CD8,9,10,13 and 14. O on CD13, there’s no rhyme or reason! I wish I had waited a cycle after my loss as I knew my cycle was off, I wasn’t feeling well, I went through the loooooong TWW to get a BFN followed by AF. Feeling much more positive this cycle xx

I'm CD11 and we haven't yet (thats if the bleed after the ectopic was a period) so yeah im guessing I'm out this month. That's OK tho. So glad I have this group to chat too!!!

Purple29 · 19/01/2022 13:08
@Purple29 so CD6 is today, I thought there is no way that’s going to happen as DH is in bed feeling quite poorly after his booster yesterday. I’m working downstairs so went up to take him a cup of tea and he pulled me in for a cuddle.. CD6 ✅☺️
I love that.... a little spontaneity is great!!!! 🤞 this is your cycle!!!

I feel like we're going to miss the fertility week again as we have a friend staying with us for two more weeks. The two bedrooms are next to each other, and you can hear almost everything (very old building), so no way we're going to get busy when he's here. Ah well.

Purple29 · 19/01/2022 11:11

@Curlywurly3 thanks. I know your right it has been a whirlwind of a few weeks. My head is still trying to work through everything that's happened. Maybe we will this month, maybe we won't im just rolling with it this time!!

Purple29 · 19/01/2022 11:07

@Curlywurly3 if its day 13 then the way the dr told me, you want to DTD on day 6, 10, 12 and 14.
