So the 2WW begins! I know there are a few threads on here but wanted to start one with people that ovulated around the same time so hopefully we'll be getting some BFPs together!

So sorry to hear that @pinkpirlie I hope the fertility bloods go well

How's everyone doing? I found this photo really helpful :)

@LittleMrsMama Thank you for your words.

I'm pretty sure it is AF.
It is only spotting at the moment, but I am bloated like a giant balloon, grouchy, queasy, stomach cramps, etc. Which is exactly how I feel right before AF arrives.
I have really short periods: 36 hours of very light spotting (so light I don't need any products), then c. 36 hours of bleeding then it's over. 3 days and I'm done. I always hope AF arrives late evening/over night so I only have two suffer one daytime feeling like I'm going to die.
It may be short, but not sweet as the PMS is hideous.

But I have now booked to have my fertility bloods, etc. done this Friday as I was told some needed to be done days 2 to 5.

LittleMrsMama · 18/01/2022 20:26

I'm so sorry @pinkpirlie :( I assume it's definitely AF rather than implantation bleeding? The TWW is so tough and then really disappointing to have AF at the end of it.

I'm 7 or 8 DPO today depending on the app so still a while to go. When is everyone thinking of testing? I'm thinking of maybe trying at the weekend but I've seen another thread where OP didn't get a proper BFP until around 14 DPO

Well I'm out, AF has arrived now. Early.
I've had a few months where I've come on at 25 days recently after years of consistently being 30 days. Perhaps it is my age, I'm almost 39.

pinkpirlie · 18/01/2022 10:29

@Coastaldreamer
I'm not sure exactly as I don't track ovulation.
I had EWCM last Saturday night so I would guess I'm around 8-9 DPO.
I'm on CD 25 and have 29/30 day cycles most months.
The queasy feeling isn't abating. But I'm also a bit poorly with a cold, so I'm not sure how much my crap feeling is hormones and how much is the cold.

Coastaldreamer · 18/01/2022 09:57

@pinkpirlie how many DPO are you ? I've been feeling like this with the pre AF symptoms but since I had DD I wasn't getting cramps before AF so this cycle I'm confused why I am. Also got thrush so maybe that's why I'm feeling extra crap!

Only 7 DPO I think so the waiting is killing me!

AmberRH1993 · 18/01/2022 09:16

4dpo today and nothing to write home about apart from increased lotion cm yesterday which was new for me but still super early so not looking too much into it. AF due on 28th so still time yet.

pinkpirlie · 18/01/2022 09:09

@ali2021 thanks for the clarification

How's everyone doing as the weekend draws nearer?
I'm convinced I'm getting PMS symptoms so I'm thinking I'm out.
I've been feeling quite queasy, sore boobs, mardy, etc. All my usual symptoms leading up to AF arriving.

Nervousdave · 16/01/2022 00:22

Hi 🙋🏻‍♀️
I ovulated overnight on 11th/early morning 12th, so 4-5dpo today.
Cycle #7 to conceive #2... Cycle is between 31 and 38 days, so AF is due anytime from 24-30th 🤦🏻‍♀️ and I'm away for work then, joy!

LittleMrsMama · 15/01/2022 18:21

I tried to keep my mind off things but my pregnant friend came over today and I'm so desperate for my BFP! Good job it's way too early to test otherwise I would have been tempted. Hope you're all having a good weekend! Anyone who has gotten through a few cycles have any tips on taking your mind off it? Although probably coming on Mumsnet everyday isn't helpful but always nice to hear others feeling the samek

@pinkpirlie sorry I should have clarified that about the exercise during TWW. Absolutely no need to stop! Just me being paranoid 🤣
I run competitively, so I do a lot of exercise each week between running and gymming! I have culled it the last few months which clearly hasn't helped me at all in TTC 🥴 And doctor said continue on as normal, so I'm going back to doing just that!

Coastaldreamer · 14/01/2022 23:14

@MrsSamRowley I also seem to be exactly same as you. TTC #2 on the first cycle and AF due on 26th. I have an average cycle length of 31 days so hopefully this doesn't play tricks on my mind when I think I'm due Confused

3 DPO and Used OPKs and had my peak on Monday. We followed the SMEP method so there was a lot of DTD. Poor DH!

Gosh it's so hard to remain relaxed! I feel like I was exactly when we were TTC #1, wondering how long and when it would happen! DS took around 7 proper cycles by the time I was in tune with tracking etc due to random cycle days

Who's going to test early Hmm

RMS0209 · 14/01/2022 21:52

@LittleMrsMama we can try persuade each other not to rest too early so we aren't disappointed! (I say this now... hopefully next week goes quicker than this)

@pinkpirlie I am so sorry to hear about your pet being PTS, hope you are ok x

pinkpirlie · 14/01/2022 21:46

Welcome everyone!
I don't drink caffeine or much alcohol anyway, but I hadn't even considered stopping exercising was a thing...
Is it a thing?

Coming up to one week now into two 2WW and hoping next week will go quicker.

We lost one of our pets this week, he was PTS, and I could really do with some good news.

LittleMrsMama · 14/01/2022 21:23

@RMS0209 - yes let's stay strong together! Although can't say I'm the best cycle buddy as last cycle I tested way too much

MrsSamRowley · 14/01/2022 18:11

@AmberRH1993 ahh cycle buddies! Fingers crossed for BFPs for both of us!

AmberRH1993 · 14/01/2022 16:40

@MrsSamRowley

Hi ladies, 2dpo, AF due on the 26th. Husband and I DTD every day leading up to and on the day of ovulation so fingers crossed but only 1st month of TTC baby number 2 so trying (and failing!) to be relaxed about it!
Hi @mrssamrowley welcome! We are literally in the same boat.. 2nd Cycle ttc baby #2 and AF due on 27th. We also dtd upto and on ovulation day so let's see how it goes. It's all too exciting to be relaxed about it - too much fun symptom spotting 😂

ali2021 · 14/01/2022 14:39

Hey everyone! Would love to join your tww train! I didn't use opk this month, so I ovulated at some point this week. On advice of doc, we're DTD every second day. It gets tedious 😆 AF due 26th or thereabouts! This will be our 8th cycle of TTC #1. Each month during tww, I have been altering my lifestyle - exercising less, drinking decaf, not drinking etc and I've decided to stop and just carry on as normal, as it makes the tww much longer! Wishing everyone BFPs!!

RMS0209 · 14/01/2022 08:38

@LittleMrsMama I am due AF same date as you! We can motivate each other to try not test until atleast next weekend GrinBear

lakejupiter · 13/01/2022 12:19

@LittleMrsMama yeah I thought so. I don't drink but I'm a massive caffeine addict and struggling to cut down tbh! At the moment planning to wait for AF but in a week I might feel differently - 2ww is eternal!!

LittleMrsMama · 13/01/2022 12:18

@lakejupiter testing early was just because I have no self control. Some people like to test early because there are certain things they won't do if they know they're pregnant (such as drink alcohol, go into a hot tub etc)

Otherwise no real benefit to knowing you're pregnant before AF or when your AF is due apart from your own interest and excitement :)

lakejupiter · 13/01/2022 11:03

Are there advantages to testing early rather than waiting for AF?

LittleMrsMama · 13/01/2022 10:48

I'm hoping to hold out as long as possible to test but I think I'll probably give in. If I can wait until next weekend that would be ideal with AF due 25th. Last month I tested pretty much every day for 10 days before AF (didn't do OPK), and it was 10 days of disappointment

Hi all, I'm on 1dpo today and the dreaded TWW begins - AF due on 27th Jan.
Cycle 2 TTC baby #2 as my son has just turned 2 himself. Hoping the 2 2 2 will be a good luck charm this cycle 😊
