8 DOP - the waiting!

Hey. I'm not sure of the point of this thread really but I suppose I just need to talk. I'm bang in the middle of the two week wait and I'm driving myself crazy! I don't know if I'm seeing symptoms that are all in my head, honestly this waiting is making me obsessed. Tell me I'm not alone! I can't really talk to anyone as no one knows we're trying, and my partner is the most laid back and patient person I know (total opposite of me!)
How are you guys in limbo doing?

Hi. Can I join? Because I am literally going out my mind. I tested tonight at 8DPO, no idea why because I know it’s probably way too early but I couldn’t help myself. Obviously it was BFN. This is cycle 4 of TTC#2, our DS is 3 in March and we conceived him straight away so I’m starting to feel like it might never happen!

ERachD · 12/01/2022 21:57

@Bexxe it really surprised me too! As long as af doesn't show up I can cling to hope a little longer than I thought

Bexxe · 12/01/2022 21:40

Wow that’s a surprise thanks for the link!

Shocking that at like 17DPO it’s only 94% - you’d think it was 100% by that point!

ERachD · 12/01/2022 21:34

@20viona yeah I'm using the FRER ones. I've had evap lines way too much in the clear blues. I was gutted when I found out how unreliable they are!

OP posts:
20viona · 12/01/2022 21:16

@ERachD what tests are you using? I like FRER I absolutely hate the clear blue blue dye ones!

ERachD · 12/01/2022 21:09

@20viona yeah I think so! I had a blank white negative this morning so I'm just hoping that each day I test I start to see a little faint line

Ooh that does sound promising. Bet you've never been so pleased to have sore boobs haha! I've had some pretty bad cramps today but no spotting, I have no idea what's normal im driving myself mad!

OP posts:
20viona · 12/01/2022 21:02

@ERachD that's really helpful. My boobs are killing me today. I really do think I might be pregnant cuz all the symptoms are the same as before but I am not going to test until the weekend I think. Are you going to test again tomorrow?

ERachD · 12/01/2022 20:37

Ladies I've just come across this ..

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=11

Its made me feel a lot better I hope it does for you too!

I'm on 10dpo and looking at that, tomorrows odds of a positive and the few days following jump loads higher!

@ERachD omg my husband is the same. "Doesn't matter if it's now or takes a year" BlushBlushBlush like hellooo it matters to me lol

I'm also feeling bad for him must be feeling so used in the fertile period! With DD being a toddler it's time consuming mentally and physically so DTD can be tiring Blush

Bexxe · 12/01/2022 10:05

Hahah it’s funny what TTC does to you!

I’m not 100% confident on my days, so I could still be early but we shall see! Xx

ERachD · 12/01/2022 09:54

I keep stressing about if this isn't our month and my partner doesn't get it. He's like, if it's this month, next month or in 7 months time it doesn't matter. I was like, my hair is literally doing to start falling out with the stress so it very much matters haha! But I suppose he's right. It's such a lot for us to go through though questioning every little symptom! Xx

Coastaldreamer · 12/01/2022 09:42

@ERachD me too! This is first cycle for #2 and she took 7 proper cycles so I'm hoping it's not as long Blush

Just how to keep distracted is key I think!

ERachD · 12/01/2022 09:19

@Coastaldreamer

Sorry to jump on this thread, entering the TWW on day 1, going to be what feels like a looooong wait! Last time I couldn't wait and tested 11DPO

Somehow WFH makes the days longer

Welcome aboard the anxiety train haha! Hope you're feeling okay. I really do hate this 2ww xx

I was climbing my partner like a tree this month and literally nothing since my fertility window ended he must feel so used 😂

Loads of ladies still test faint at 13 DPO, I suppose technically it's still early. One of the apps I have says test mid way through expected period and some day they day it's due it's so confusing to know when the best time is xx

Bexxe · 12/01/2022 08:53

I’m not quite sure!

I was expecting to ovulate between 24th - 26th December, but caught covid just before which I think delayed my ovulation.

The only time we DTD (because I was too Poorly any other time) was 30th Dec, so I am guess that’s my ovulation date. Which would make me 13DPO - although I could be wrong.
I would of thought I’d have had a stronger line by now, but I know some people take a little longer than others! Xx

ERachD · 12/01/2022 08:40

Ahh that's so exciting!! How many DPO are you? Xx

Bexxe · 12/01/2022 08:33

I’m going to grab some today, the pictures don’t show it well.

My DP is as blind as a bat and he said he could see it straight away. I pulled yesterdays one out the bin which was a BFN and there is certainly a difference! Xx

ERachD · 12/01/2022 08:24

@Bexxe

Line eyes?!

Me and DP could see the faintest line this morning - the picture doesn’t really capture it, but what do you think can you see anything?!

It's so hard to tell isn't it! I have everything crossed 🤞 for you. Do you have another test for the morning to see if it comes up darker? Xx

A negative for me this morning. I'm still 5 days early so not disheartened. I'm only 10 DPO and the symptoms are still very prominent! AF isn't due until Monday so I really should wait but I just can't help myself!

OP posts:
Carinae20 · 11/01/2022 19:10

@ERachD I can’t test until 20th so a week at least! I was planning on using this month as a trial run as I’m just off the implant and have no ideas whether my cycle is regular but fingers crossed

@YEN1 I am the same, my DD is 10 and my step kids are 21,19 &12 . Kinda feel like ‘what are we doing’ but if we don’t try I’ll regret it!

20viona · 11/01/2022 18:41

@ERachD Sunday at the earliest! Darent!

ERachD · 11/01/2022 18:25

When are you ladies going to test? I'm doing another one in the morning, I bought the cheap strips off Amazon so I'm doing one every day until I'm due on I'll keep updating on here xx

OP posts:
20viona · 11/01/2022 17:00

@ERachD yeah I looked back
On my last pregnancy and I logged similar symptoms to this then so fingers crossed. Either way I would like to know what my bodies doing because it's been so long since Iv had a regular cycle I never ever know what to expect.
