Are you in the 2 week wait? How are you doing/feeling?

After my either early loss/chemical last cycle I was hoping to try again this cycle (most fertile first 3 months after loss) but sadly I have been super poorly and only managed to baby dance once around peak 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I am not too hopeful this cycle, but at least we did try 😂

Hi ladies, mind if I join you? 2dpo - first month TTC number 2, but have been tracking my ovulation since July. I always seem to ovulate a few days after the Femometer app tells me so think my period is due around the 26th. Have a load of internet cheapie tests upstairs and am a POAS fanatic so trying to wait as long as I can!

Salamander91 · 14/01/2022 15:54

Congratulations @SGChome20 I think it's a great line for 10dpo on a cheapie :)

beanchopper17 · 14/01/2022 14:37

@SGChome20 that's a little interesting! I will keep my fingers crossed for a sticky bean 🤞🏻

Thank you @YEN1 I really can't get excited about it yet as it's so faint and after 2 losses the last 2 cycles. It's mad, with my first we couldn't get pregnant and now we appear to struggle to stay pregnant. Hoping that this one is a good egg 🤞🤞🤞

YEN1 · 14/01/2022 13:56

Congratulations @SGChome20

SGChome20 · 14/01/2022 13:41

10dpo today. I'm really hoping it is and I get a sticky bean. I'm going to be testing everyday now! The tests are so cheap (79p for 3!) so I dipped one in water and there was nothing on it at all. I think I've officially gone mad!!

YEN1 · 14/01/2022 13:14

I can see a line! How many dpo are you?

SGChome20 · 14/01/2022 13:03

@Salamander91 it's so hard isn't it. Especially when pms and pregnancy symptoms are similar. Total head waste!

Ok I caved and took a test. Not fmu but a 4 hr hold. It's just the cheapy accu news strip tests from home bargains. I'll attach a pic and see what you girls think.

@handbagsandholidays if you need any opk advice, happy to help, been at this for long enough to have a good grip of what's worth trying (remembering everyone's different 😊)

Today (9dpo) I am super super emotional, I have cried 4times today for no reason and it's only lunch time 🤦🏼‍♀️ also I have a very unusual pain in my right groin/hip ish area, like a squeezing sensation, never experienced this before

I might test in the morning, but I might not have time as I have an appointment first thing haha

Oh 8dpo is 100% too early Grin I'm just feeling my normal pms symptoms so expecting AF to arrive in about 4 days as usual.

SGChome20 · 14/01/2022 10:59

@Salamander91 definitely still hope as 8dpo is so early. I've ordered some tests and I think they'll arrive today and I'm so tempted to test today 10dpo but I know there's little point. Last time I didn't get a even a sniff of a line till 12/13dpo but that was a chemical I guess.

IslandGirl27 · 14/01/2022 09:33

@Salamander91 You're not out until AF shows!

Salamander91 · 14/01/2022 09:03

I caved and tested this morning at 8dpo. Bfn of course lol Blush I was super emotional yesterday which is pretty typical pms for me so I've not got much hope for this month.

handbagsandholidays · 14/01/2022 08:13

Following on from last night, I had the lightest bleed yesterday when I wiped! Really hoping it's IB. Somebody pass me a crystal ball already... I can't handle this TWW!

handbagsandholidays · 13/01/2022 20:34

I'm currently 7dpo with a weird taste in my mouth. I had a chemical/early mc and started bleeding properly on Christmas Eve. I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot but it's tough. I had little faith in this month given what happened last month so I've bought the smart thermometer and ovulation tests for next month but I have no idea how to use them either ... basically clueless, feeling a little overwhelmed and anxious. xx

beanchopper17 · 13/01/2022 13:03

Seems everyone is at very different stages of the tww!

How you getting on, not gone mad yet 😂

8dpo and realised I have no tests in the house, thank god for Amazon! Even though trying a different brand this month (I only get bulk dip sticks, otherwise I would be bankrupt by now). So will see how I get on with them.

When does everyone usually cave and test?

@SGChome20 oh feel ya with the the good news is you got pregnant in the first place, no hunny the good news would be to have a healthy pregnancy to full term.
Yeah there are certain people who you know you can be honest with and others you just have to bite your tongue and politely nod.
I get people are just trying to be nice or positive, some times I wish people would just let me vent at them 😂

Hi @Bridgey8, I'm 4 DPO so we're pretty close! X

SGChome20 · 13/01/2022 11:11

@beanchopper17 yes all the well meaning 'just do this' is annoying. You hear it all the time and it infuriates me even when not directed to me! Most of the time r doesn't come from a bad place when people say these things but it's hard to remember that at the time. After my MC one of my close friends said 'at least you know you can get pregnant' I love her so much but I just had to say 'not helpful right now!' At least I could say that to her.

Coastaldreamer · 13/01/2022 10:59

@YEN1 sorry to hear this but it's still quite early! My BFP first time was only very very faint on 11DPO so there is still Hope Smile x

YEN1 · 13/01/2022 10:39

9dpo for me, caved and did a test which was BFN Sad

Bridgey8 · 13/01/2022 07:24

Can I join you ladies? I'm 3dpo after having a miscarriage in Nov... fingers crossed and baby dust to everyone xx

beanchopper17 · 12/01/2022 21:45

@SGChome20 kinda, she is the kinda person that just doesn't understand the struggle, she's had it very easy. Both her children she fell pregnant first time trying, smooth pregnancies ( I only know as she has been VERY honest about it all, verging on bragging).
She has said in the past 'if you want kids just get pregnant, what's the big deal'
Then there's me sat there trying over 10years trying not to rip her eyes out 🙈 that word 'just' undervalues how much effort some people have to put into ttc.

Some people will just never get how it can wear you down and saying the following helps no one -

Just take a break
If it's meant to be it will be
Don't stress about it
Children aren't really worth all this stressing about
Your so lucky you don't have kids (you have freedom, you can do what you want blah blah)
The one I hear a million times - well my friend Jenny's sister did x y x and poof pregnant, have you thought about trying that?

I am very aware children aren't easy but that's the hardest to hear that we are the lucky ones cause we don't. This isn't a choice.

Rant over 😂 luckily I have an amazing husband who has learnt to understand my emotional rollercoaster.

OP posts:
SGChome20 · 12/01/2022 20:12

@beanchopper17 that will be hard, especially when there is a bit of history between you both. Yeah hope they're not the type to ask you 'when will you have kids' people, they are the worst!!

beanchopper17 · 12/01/2022 17:47

Nothing going here, but I am only 7dpo 🤞🏻

I have just had a sad realisation, my sister-in-law gave birth on the 9th Jan (I have some history with her that would be too long to go into), and my husband has booked us a hotel to go to London to meet the new baby next week . . .

We go the day my period is due 😫🙈🤦🏼‍♀️

I know I should be happy for her and to meet our new niece, but I struggle so hard! I am in counselling for my infertility but I still find seeing people pregnant/newborns really raw emotionally. I see a lot of tears in my future 😭

I'm 8dpo today and having some mild cramps but honestly sometimes I think I imagine symptoms or it's the way I'm sitting at my desk all day! How's everyone else doing? I am get more impatient the closer it gets to AF being due
