My first time posting so I hope it's in the right place. After 2 miscarriages in 8 months 1 at 6 weeks 6 days last one at Christmas at 9 weeks after 3 years trying, I'm really loosing hope on the scan we saw heartbeat I'm gutted. Small fibroid was seen at the scan but was told it was nothing to worry about, Was it that?? Why does it feel like it will never happen?? SadSad

@bedheadedzombie

Keep going on. My DD was my 6th pregnancy. It felt like my body needed a few tries to learn staying pregnant.
Thank you for sharing your success story and congratulations, 6 must have been so tough, So happy for you getting your rainbow 🌈

No stories here. Just joining for the success stories. I have also had 2 losses in the last 10 months and worry all the time that it will never happen for me.

Sorry to hear of your losses OP. Hopefully this year will be our year ❤️

My mother! I was her third pregnancy 45 years ago when so much less was understood about pregnancy loss.

I hope this goes well for you 💐

Thank you all so much for your replies, It's comforting knowing I'm not alone. It's hard to talk to friends and family as they don't know what to say to me without upsetting me I think, My Mum has been great but talking to other women who have had the same happen I think is better for me, My oh is trying his best to help but I keep taking things out on him 🤦🏼‍♀️. It's given me so much hope reading all of your success stories and I've read a lot about asprin and thinking I will talk to my doctor at my appointment on Tuesday and go on them as I think it's helped so many women and can't do no harm. I really hope it's our turn soon. I have a 13yo and was pregnant within 2 months of having my implant out!. I feel so blessed to have him I never thought it would be this difficult 😞. Thank you all for giving me hope it's been a tuff day and I feel slightly better about things.

So sorry for your losses. After 2 miscarriages I went private and had blood tests. It was found I had "sticky blood." I was prescribed a baby Aspirin every day and me next pregnancy was successful. It may be worth you looking into this.I also has a fibroid which I was told was not causing issues.

After my first pregnancy with DD I had two early miscarriages (7wk and 5 wk) before getting pregnant with DS1. The GP put each mc on my record as she said that the policy at the time was that they can’t refer/investigate until 3 mc in a row. I started taking low dose aspirin before getting pregnant with DS1. I had another early mc 3 years later before getting pregnant with DS2, again I took low dose aspirin from TTC, but this was recommended by GP, may not be recommended for everyone.

I'm sorry you're going through such a hard time OP. I had 3 consecutive MCs before having DC1, followed by DC2 2 years later. No fertility treatment needed and no further MCs between my 2 successful pregnancies. Wishing you the best of luck.

I had two miscarriages in quick succession before my successful pregnancy. All the usual tests showed everything working as expected - just the luck of the draw unfortunately.

Conceiving that successful pregnancy took about 2 years.

NinaProudman2022 · 03/01/2022 20:14

Sorry for your loss. Also conceived after a very long delay then two miscarriages.

I went on thyroxine and had a little break from TTC and also went on a naturopathic diet as I felt rubbish as the second time my baby didn’t come away naturally (so felt awful with the medication as well as being wiped out mentally).

Sorry for your losses. I had my daughter after two miscarriages. I had a bleed early on with her and thought I’d lost her too, but she hung on in there. The EPU told me even two miscarriages was very common.

CopperLily · 03/01/2022 20:05

I had 2 missed miscarriages then a successful pregnancy. Another very early miscarriage 2 years later and then became pregnant immediately afterwards with another successful pregnancy. It is frightening, I was the same as you before I had my first daughter - I thought it'd never happen. Best of luck to you.

So sorry for your losses, OP. No real advice, but I conceived my DD after two MCs. I really worried that something must be wrong with me. I went to the gp and got tests done to check everything was functioning as it should. The MCs seemed to be just one of those things. Wishing you lots of luck.
