I used to assist in hsgs as a radiographer. They can cause miscarriage + use radiation so try and book it soon after af. I wouldn't want to do it. Af is disappointing but I'd forgotten about my smear so now have that booked. Plus, I only started taking folic acid recently so it gives it more time to build up in my system.

That looks like a positive to me, I haven't ever had a positive test, so cannot comment on strength, but I have read it can take several days after AF is due to get darker.
Perhaps test in a couple of days again to see if it gets darker. Have you done a FRER? That may show a darker line...

The conditions of my HSG were that they were done between day 5-12 of cycle (i.e. before ovulation) I also had a hCG blood analysis pregnancy test done in the 48 hours prior to HSG and no unprotected sex after that pregnancy test to avoid any possibility of the HSG interfering. Hope that helps.

Sorry for tagging on, thought I was out this month as no positive ovulation then the family had covid and AF was due yesterday but I’ve taken about 5 tests and I’m certain I can see a hint of something. Can anyone see faints here? Is it likely a chemical if I’m already late and it’s so faint?

I have to book my HSG when next AF arrives. Couldn't do it this month as I hadn't had the chlamydia test in time.
Just wondering whether they said anything about the risk of whether the HSG interfere with implantation if you are lucky that month? I'm assuming as it is done before ovulation it isn't very high.

Well, I couldn't wait till the weekend. Yesterday day 26 got a negative test. Periods due tomorrow, but I have been getting spotting for a few d so maybe It just didn't pick it up. I'll wait a and see.ays so

I am definitely out. AF arrived Friday morning. Counting down the days now to ovulation again.

Af due around next weekend. I'm not clockwork. I have some spotting but it's kind of pink. I might not be able to hold off for a pregnancy test. I don't feel premenstrual but some months I get cramps for nearly a week and some months I get no symptoms except the first day of my period after starting.

Hi everyone hopping onto this thread new to mumsnet. Been TTC for 12 cycles now. On day 4 of cycle so over the disappointment and cramps and feeling hopeful this month will be the one. AF due on 15th Feb and she's always bang on time. I have a HSG next week and really really hoping if there is a blockage that will clear it :)

I'm pretty sure I'm out. Spotting the last day and a half, so expecting AF to come with vengeance today. Feeling quite queasy which is normal for me when AF comes.

I reckon Sunday would be good to test. You going to use a FRER?

How's everyone feeling? I've had an outburst of acne (though it could be Christmas chocolate) and I've had 2 comments that I look glowing. So feeling hopeful. My periods vary in length. 26-33 days, but about half are 28 days. So I'm not sure when to test. I'm thinking day 32 as it's a Sunday and it will save me from getting an very early positive that then doesn't turn into anything. I would probably could wait a little longer but I work with radiation and some heavy lifting so would need a risk assessment asap.

@CheerUpDuck I think October is a good month too.
I also didn't try in March last year, as I don't want a Christmas baby so will probably do the same this year, if we're not successful before then.
Knowing my luck, my march eggs will be the sticky ones

I'm almost half way through my TWW. I think I ovulated overnight Saturday to Sunday.
It's been a really busy and stressful week, which won't have helped anything.
