I know this is not a "method" to prevent pregnancy per say but I'm just wondering how many of you fell pregnant this way? My partner and I are currently using the withdrawal method as we're not actively trying but will be in the not too distant future. Just wondering how many of you guys out there fell pregnant this way? Is it a common occurrence or pretty rare still?

Three friends had sex this way (two babies and one abortion were the result)

I know I’ll get an eye roll and a tut, and I don’t encourage people to do it but this has been my method for the last 10 years. One pregnancy on the very first time we didn’t pull out. It’s worked for me so far.

This is how DS came about.

It’s called ‘Catholic roulette’ for a reason…

Yep. That's how DD3 arrived.

What do you call people who use the withdrawal method?
Parents.

It's not a method. It's a way to get pregnant whilst claiming you're not trying to get pregnant.

If you are doing that you ARE effectively trying as you are not using contraception. And yes, lots of babies have been conceived that way.

It’s not a way of preventing pregnancy, lots of people get pregnant this way.

Either you’re happy to potentially fall pregnant, or you should use contraception.
