First month ttc.. who's with me?!

Hi guys! So I'm starting this thread because this is my first month ttc number baby 4 😊 my youngest is 6 so it's been a while! I'm 33 so that's another factor is age. I am currently on my predicted ovulation day with a af date of 5th jan 2022. Babydust to all ❤️

So iv tested again today 12dpo and bfn.. still feeling crampy and moody. I guess I'm out this month 😣
How is everyone?

@slmanc oh lucky I gave mine to hubby and told him strictly no tests until af is late 😂 im shaking already from withdrawals 😅

@Ambi88 @ChaiLatte28 omg the tww is the worst! I was grateful to be at families over Christmas without access to tests and I wasn't home until af arrived! You can do it haha!

@D0lphine I came off in August after 10+ years just to get my cycle to some sort of norm and I think they were after a few months - although I'm no expert!! It's so hard not to get excited isn't it!

I'm not exactly trying to conceive (tracking cycle etc) but have come off contraception for the first time in forever.

I'm 33 and hopefully be my first. Trying not to get too excited!

Can I ask how long it takes for contraceptives to get out your system?

@Dreamer30 same here!! Ah super similar cycle to me mine are 28/29 days! I can't imagine holding out either but I'm really going to try 😬

@ChaiLatte28 my o cramps were terrible this cycle too. Usually I just feel a pinching but I really suffered over Christmas time with them. My cycles are 27/28 days so I'm 4dpo today and due af 9th Jan but I won't hold out testing until then lol

@ChaiLatte28 well I'm off work for a week so Its the constant temptation 😂 mine was this afternoon so I'm gonna only do fmu from now on and make that deal with myself 😂

@Dreamer30 oh really! My ovulation cramps were definitely worse than the ones today so no idea what's going on. How many days are your cycles?

@Ambi88 haha same here! I'm going to try and wait until after AF is due but whether that will happen or not is another story, especially with working from home full time and therefore having 24/7 access to test 😂 but I've made a rule for myself of FMU only so maybe I'll manage it

@ChaiLatte28 ugh it's the longest ever and it's only our first month ttc so god knows what il be like in a few months 😂 now I'm like right if af comes il know then il have relief for 2 weeks then back to this wait 😂. I have more tests but I'm going to brave it and wait.

I feel your pain 😅 I'm 4dpo and have all those symptoms too. Cramp was so bad today that I got the hot water bottle out lol

@Ambi88 how long does each day of the TWW feel though 😑 I think I will struggle to not test by 9DPO too. I've had cramps, back ache and serious bloat today and I'm only 4/5DPO

Well I stupidly did a test today 9dpo and obviously bfn.. completely disappointed but was expected. I still am crampy and being moody as hell no other symptoms. How's everyone feeling? X

@BlueSky57 yes it did happen to me last month where I had ovulation signs around day 14 but nothing actually happened, then again around day 30 when I did finally ovulate. I only know through charting my temperature otherwise I'd just assume it happened. I wish I came off the pill sooner too. If you have a lot of cm now I would maybe take this as possible ovulation just in case!

@littlecontis I was the exact same really nervous on the lead up to it but once we could actually DTD chilled out so hopefully you'll be the same. I think everyone must worry about how long it'll take because you just don't know but fingers crossed it doesn't take us too long 🤞🏼 baby dust to you! ✨

@Sassy144 I’m sorry I can’t help you but I am in the same situation. I’m wondering if I actually ovulated when I thought I did this month because I am CD23 & have a lot of CM which I am not used to. I’m also recently off the pill & now I wish I came off sooner as I may be a bit more regular by now Confused

I'm a bit confused with my cycle. I had all the signs that ovulation was coming, and on day 12 I had a positive OPK. Then cramps and twinging on day 13/14. However today, day 15, my BBT is still low and last month it shot up straight after ovulation. Am I being impatient or have I not ovulated yet? Could it be that my body is trying to ovulate (hence all the signs) but having no luck? I'm only on cycle 2 after coming off the pill so prepared things might take a while to get back to normal.

I'm getting impatient lol I bought the FRER tests today and I'm thinking of doing it tomorrow morning. The reviews online about those tests are terrible, which I didn't know before buying one.🤦🏼‍♀️

Hello! Can I join the thread please? I am 32 turning 33 in Sep 22. Will be TTC for the first time in a few weeks. Really nervous as my SIL and other friends fell pregnant very quickly and I am worried that it'd take us a long time to conceive.

I'm 31 and ttc for the first time. Had my implant out three weeks ago (it was quite overdue) my cycles were irregular but have regulated the past few months.
Not using ovulation sticks and trying to be relaxed but it's hard when you want something- tracking my cycles on flo and had sex a few days before predicted ovulation and ovulation day (today Blush).
Aware this may take some time- been through it with some close friends including one with two cycles of IVF.

@BlueSky57 I'm trying not to get my hopes up lol but this wait is killing be and it's only first try 😂 I don't think iv noticed anything apart my mood has been terrible last 2 days.. poor hubby lol I stupidly done a test a couple of days ago at 6dpo and obviously it was negative 🤦‍♀️ so im going to be strong and wait to see if the witch turns up next week..

@slmanc I am finding the 2WW is going really slow because I am off work until next week, so have very few distractions Confused I want the time to pass quickly in case I do get a BFP but also don’t want to be back in work so soon with possible AF Hmm x
