Well, you know, you are all adults, I am sure she would only not be happy because she'd have been looking forward to it. Maybe arrange to take her for a lovely meal or something?

Sorry I don't know about ML at all, have never had to take it But I do think I have read before that you have to go back for at least 4 weeks before you can resign (if that's what you wanted) else you have to pay some/all of it back to your employer. I think when you go back, you have some rights about cutting your hours. And I think that your emploters can be a bit arsey and not let you go back to your old job, they still have to employ you, but it might not be the same as before....... all of that is either true or I have made it up

BeMyLilBaby · 21/01/2008 12:30

oh DP and i have decided not to go we cant afford it, and he has just gotten a promotion at work so cant really swan off for 13 days... jus dont relish telling my mum because she wont be happy...been feeling we're distant atm anyway...

I wanna aim to have LO in april 09, to get a years paid maternity he he isthat naughty??

also does anyone knopw the rules on those sorts of things? how long you have to go back fo etc? xx

NatalieJane · 21/01/2008 12:27

Awww BB we'll be TTC buddys LOL

Diege, we've got a load of decorating to freshen things up and the gardens to sort, and to paint the house outside, so no way will it be before Summer that it will be ready to go on the market. Then, we have to sell it Was that flying pigs??? Also can't start TTCing before May, we've already got DS2's birthday in December, then obviously xmas, which completely buggers up money in Jan, then we've got DS1's birthday in March, so I would really like to be looking at anytime after April to have another. April the 1st will do If I'd have had to wait very long to get pregnant with my two I'd have been keener on TTCing a bit earlier, but DS1 took 6 months, sounds a long time but I'd had that Depo injection which can take up to 18 months to get out of your system, so it was fairly quick really, then I came off the pill to TTC DS2 and we got BFP on 2nd cycle, so obviously DH has super-duper-baby-making-sperm () That's what he thinks anyway

God I have waffled again.... sorry!

BB, what news about the hol?

BeMyLilBaby · 21/01/2008 12:04

hehe i shall do!!

i am excited, getting my house straight this weekend all those niggly jobs you forget to do so that will bwe gd!

still gotta break news bout hol to mum yet tho am scared!! xx

Diege · 21/01/2008 11:39

Yah BEMY!!! Get popping that folic acid!

Diege · 21/01/2008 11:37

Morning girls, and thanks for the list NJ! We too have our house on the market (though for sale sign ominously blew down over the weekend . The plan, like you, is to go for a 4 bedroom house, with garden (we live on the edge of a canal at the moment, v. pretty but not ideal for the dds!)Unlike you, I am an old codger who can't wait too long, so am taking the plunge a little earlier than I might have done had I still been in my 20s!
Oooh, feels really strange heading the list -doesn't anyone want to keep me company? I'll stay in 'April' as long as you don't make me leave for the draughty corridors of the ttc threads .
PLAYING, I am totally with you on the 'browsing' thing. Have been at my desk a few hours but I cannot settle!!! Must be a Monday-morning thing! Right, must get on! Hi to all

NatalieJane · 21/01/2008 08:23

I am not going to be here for long, DS1 is almost ready for school, DS2 is still lazing in bed..... it's all very well and good going to sleep on his own, but he could do with learning to wake up on his own as well!!

It is like I said, when you've got kids/hubby/home/god knows what else, you have just got to get on with it. I was a complete mess for a week, but then I realised that others have it far worse than me.

I can do the list, but it will be a bit later, so if anyone wants to beat me to it, you have till about 10-ish

Will have to go and get DS2 up - cannot believe I have have just said that LOL

See you in a bit xxx

BeMyLilBaby · 21/01/2008 08:17

NatalieJane · 21/01/2008 06:52

Morning all

CC thing went really well again last night, I stepped up the times a bit, thought I'd leave him 3 minutes, then 6 mins, then 9 etc. but he went to sleep within the 3 minutes He has just woken up when DH went in to say goodbye to him, I thought there was no chance of him going back off, but I led him back down said g'night in my usual way, and I've not heard a peep out of him 3 whole nights, to ourselves in our own bed - fantastic!!!!!!

Diege, no the plan would still be to wait till May. I am working on DH actually agreeing to have another, though I know he will, and he knows he will, he likes to drag his feet about these things

He has/had a few small things that we both agreed needed sorting before we went ahead (which is partly why we are waiting till May)

  • No.1 was getting DS2 out of our bed, neither of us could bear having two in our bed! *No.2 He (quite rightly) wants me to stop smoking completely.... I have about 2-3 a day, have always given up completely when pregnant, but then end up starting again after they are born, he want's me to promise that I won't start again after the next one is born, which I have said I won't smoke every day, or even every weekend, but there will be the very odd time when I will have the odd one, but I am talking about every couple of months rather than a regular thing, which he has agreed to
  • The 3rd and final thing is the fact that we are already now spilling out of our 3 bed semi, we have a plan that should see us being able to move to a brand new 4 bed detached (with room for a playroom............. heaven!!!), closer to my family so we may even be able to make it to the pub once a month or whatever (we haven't been out on our own since our wedding anniversary in 2005! ) but there is a couple of stumbling blocks that could see us still living here in 5 years time, firstly if we can ever sell our house (promising, but could take a while judging the last 12 months of sales) and secondly if DH can either move his job down south (possible, but not likely) or get a new job that pays the same as he is on now (again possible, but not going to be easy).

Wow sorry, that was huge T'is a good job we don't a limter on how many words you can post in a day

I am going to go before my fingers start typing crap again! See you all later xxxx

Diege · 20/01/2008 20:07

Evening . Great going with CC NATLIEJANE - don't worry too if it seems to get worse after a few good nights - totally normal, but often when many give up! So I Take it you're working on DH for a March 'start'? That would put you top of the list!
Horrendous pre-af pains here - starting to think though that I should enjoy these next few months without the stress of 'symptom-spotting' that I of course indulge in terribly .

NatalieJane · 20/01/2008 18:56

Meant to say as well, the CC thing went well again last night, we went through 2, then 4, then 6 minutes, then he was asleep, he did wake up about 11 o'clock ish so I had to start it again, and for a bit longer this time (got to 10 minutes) but he has a bit of a cold at the moment so I think it was that. He went down again today for his nap with just a small whimper, so it is going fairly good I think

Have been a bit more full on with DH about trying again over the weekend, I think I have nearly cracked him but I know him too well, and even if he has decided that he has made his mind up, he won't tell me either way for sure until the date we had planned in March, but, I think he is realising that I mean business

Hope you have all had a good weekend, gonna get the boys bathed and bedded, so I can work a bit more on DH G'night all xxx

NatalieJane · 20/01/2008 10:24

Thank you Diege I'm not doing half as well I force myself to think, but when you've already got 2 kids and a hubby to run around after, you have to get through it as well as you can

The bump has completely gone, which is a major relief, really feels like the end of it now. And I can do my jeans up again

Now just looking forward to another bump (and being able to buy maternity clothes so I don't have to worry about my jeans ending up round my ankles )

xxx

Diege · 19/01/2008 19:57

NATALIEJANE, not OTT at all! Big hugs and lots of strength to you, you're doing brilliantly .
Meant to say hello too to TINX . Good luck with the weight-loss and a healthy pregnancy soon!

NatalieJane · 19/01/2008 18:04

Hi everyone

Welcome to Tinx and Horsey It is a PITA waiting for something you want so badly, but I guess we are all already doing what is right for our babys

Playing, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lambbbbbbbbbbbbbbb My favourite

Cosmo, how did the celebrating go?

Diege, it wasn't easy listening to him crying, but was well worth it in the end, put him down in his cot again for his nap today and he went straight to sleep, not even a slight wimper Me and DH are very much looking forward to our own bed again tonight

We have had a lovely relaxing day today, I had a nice long bath earlier and it was the first time since the miscarriage, that I've not taken advantage of the time alone to have a little cry to myself, bit silly really, but would hate the kids to see me upset! Bump is going down and I feel like I can face the day again

Anyway sorry, got a bit OTT then didn't I? Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend xxxx

Diege · 19/01/2008 17:11

Just popping in to say hello, and welcome to horseygirl . While I'm not waiting for weight/fitness reasons, I am taking advantage of the time by losing the extra stone I seem to have accumulated over the 3 pregnancies , I'm back on Slimming World which is great if you love your food, and I'd recommend highly
NATALIEJANE. great going with the CC - you make it sound very easy! Took 3 hours for first night with dds, so think 8 minutes is wonderful!
Thinking I might move my ttc month to May (yes, all of one month) just because I have lots on in May/June work-wise, and am thinking of the awful sickness of the last times when I had to be signed off work. TBH, it's just because it's a new job and I'm the blue-eyed girl at the moment! But having said that it did take 5 months with dd3, so maybe I should get going now! I just know it would be sods law that it would happen April!
Well, dh over at MIL with dds, so making the most of my child-free time. I have set up the ironing board, with strategically placed baskets of clothes surrounding, so I am 'safe' if he arrives back unexpectedly - I can just jump back into action

Cosmogirl · 19/01/2008 16:23
