Anyone due to get BFP/AF at Xmas?

The pressure is on... in the TWW and AF is due right around Xmas. Spending the holidays with my in laws, and both wanting to drink through the holidays/not drink as in the TWW. I’m also dreading a little bit of feeling down if I get AF right at Xmas. If anyone is looking for a TWW companion/obsessor here I am ☺️. Good luck, and hope you all get your Xmas present 🎁 BFP from Santa 🎅🏻. Xx

Hi everyone! Late to the party but can I join?
I'm 31, TTC#2 (DD is 18 months). Had my coil out a few months ago and have been avoiding TTC for a few months due to life stuff but due AF on Christmas Day and feel like I would be very happy if I got pregnant from now on. So I guess I'm TTC now!?
This month had sex only on (probable) O+1 so not ideal but here I am waiting 😊
Plan for next month is just DTD regularly and try not to do OPKs and chart because with DD1 it really affected my mental health to do that for a year. Let's see how long that lasts 😂

@oldermam - you could have ovulated up to 48 hours after your peak. At home LH tests are not an exact science at determining ovulation but an indicator that you’ll ovulate 12-48 hours after peak. Yes, implantation could happen at 10/11dpo. The average implantation day is 9dpo but each woman is different and some are a few days later and some a few earlier. From my reading anyway…!

Welcome @Housetaxis! That’s great about the earlier ovulation. Have heard good things about vitex. You could test on Christmas Day if you want but a negative at this stage doesn’t 100% mean you’re not pregnant. I’ll be testing first on 10dpo too, some women get faint lines, some get none at this stage, so you never know! As @TheBirdintheCave said - even a 12dpo BFN doesn’t rule you out.

Fingers crossed @frenchie4002 - cramps are a good sign!

I’ve had the occasional feeling of light cramp but I also think I might be imagining it 😆

Hello everyone! Hope it’s ok to join. It’s lovely to see people’s lines!

I’ve recently identified that I’ve got a short luteal phase and I have been taking Agnus castus and progesterone cream this cycle (the former throughout, the latter post-o). My ovulation was three days earlier than usual and I’m 8dpo with no sign of af yet (lp is normally only 8 days so I’m really hoping that this month will be longer / bfp).

Not sure when to to test though; perhaps xmas day so I know if I can drink safely or not?! Don’t want to jinx things though…

AF was due today but I think my cycle length must still not be back to normal from the MC - CD30 today so expecting AF CD35. Super weird because I reallly felt she was coming early - non stop low period cramps last week - but nothing now for 2 days. @madeleine85 doesn’t sound far off what you described so maybe I’m still in with a chance! Not counting myself out until af arrives anyway…and there’s a frer just crying out to be used on boxing day!!

Morning all.

Hope you're all well. All ready for Xmas?

I finished my wrapping last night. Mainly to keep my mind off the horrible cramps I was having which continued through the night I was convinced I was waking up to AF. But nothing. Mild on off cramps this morning. I'm not going to test until tomorrow. Is 10/11 dpo too late for implantation?

Quiet day today. Just me and OH home as boys are with their dad, I may suggest going for lunch somewhere later on this afternoon. Tomorrow will be manic as I have my parents coming for Xmas dinner on Saturday :) and if I do get a positive I'll be on the hunt for non alcoholic wine so my mother doesn't guess!

11/12dpo now and another blank cheapy. If I’m still not spotting by tomorrow then I might use my last FRER.

Good morning all!

Welcome @LittleMrsMama ! I’ve read of some women only getting BFPs a week or more after their AF was due so there is hope!

Any updates on your test @Pinkyflipflops? And others who were testing?

I’m a bit peeved as my Natural Cycles app just updated my ovulation day, so now we only dtd on the days up to 2 days pre ovulation, rather than the days including it. Although OvuSense (skin monitor) still gives me the earlier ovulation date. Who knows which is 100% correct, but a bit frustrating… still no symptoms here at circa 9dpo. First test planned tomorrow.

@LittleMrsMama When I was pregnant with my son I got to 12dpo with a stark white negative and then 14dpo had a very clear positive :) I didn’t have any symptoms to speak of really either.

I’m 10/11dpo in this cycle. All tests blank at the moment so I’m not holding out much hope. Still, no spotting yet so I’m not totally out.

Hello! Hope it's ok for me to join, really great to see some faint lines, keeping fingers crossed for everyone!

I think I'm about 10DPO and BFN so far, also think AF is due on Xmas day but I haven't been tracking (will start next month). It sounds like it's all to play for until AF arrives.

Does anyone have some positive stories to keep us motivated? Would love to hear of some late BFPs!

@madeleine85 Yes got my negative lateral flow tests - didn't have many symptoms just a bit of a cold to be honest.

@oldermam hope that your Af isn’t coming ❤️. Every time a symptom goes away for me I’m worried, so totally get that. I’m genuinely sitting here clinging to heartburn lol. Let us know how you get on, even if it is a trip for lots of lovely wine x

@madeleine85 Yes! I've been in isolation with covid - no symptoms luckily but rhey just sit in the drawer and call you 😂 much easier not to test when your busy!

@Pinkyflipflops My app expected AF on 21st but now I've changed my suspected ovulation date to 12th instead of 5th - AF is due on 28th December making me 9/10dpo I suppose

My partner intercepted the amazon man and opened the parcel containing the FRER not knowing I had ordered them or was even testing at this stage 🙈
He was excited and wanted to test so I did one and I'm sure I can see a faint line whereas his man eyes said its completely blank and I've lost the plot - coming from the same person who can't see things in front of him when looking for them.

Sickness is somewhat milder tonight. Still got a yucky taste. Still got sore boobs. Oh can't even touch them much to his disappointment 😂

I do have cramps tonight like AF is coming, I suspect I'll be in Tesco on Xmas eve stocking up on wine. I have tests ready to go Xmas eve.. baffling with my symptoms! Unless I ov later. Who knows.

@Pinkyflipflops it is still very faint and that is under the best light. When I found out about DD we were 5 weeks in and the huge dark positive was there before I had even stopped peeing, so I don't feel hugely confident in this as it took 8-10 mins to reach a very faint line. Scared of the evaps though too. Will keep testing in the mornings and will see. Urghhhh now i'm going to be paranoid every day until xmas when I really am late, if I even make it that far.

@AmberRH1993 keep us posted when you do the FRER, really hopefull for us all x

Thanks Ladies! @AmberRH1993 this was my first test, I was holding out for double digits DPO to test. I think i'll test again in 2 days... I say that now knowing full well that I will obsessively test tomorrow too when AF is due. I am paranoid it is going to start tomorrow. In the past 2 months i've had cramping for the whole 2ww, but this time it was very specifically from 4DPO to 7DPO then started to go away. Since then i've had a dull cramp in my lower back though that is going away today and on 8-9DPO I had the weirdest tingling in my nipples/sensitivity to the cold. It felt like the feeling at the start of every breastfeeding session with my DD. I definitely didn't have that as a symptom with her though. Aside from that, my major one was reduced hair loss when showering/drying my hair. I know this happened with my DD too, but I had just moved to a new city then and thought it was different water making my hair better lol. That to me was the real tip off that something hormonally was different.

This time around I threw the book at the pregnancy issue. for the last 2 months I took COQ10/prenatal vitamins and this month EPO (when ok to take). I also took an extra vitamin B6 and Vit C during the 2WW this time so not sure that did anything with such little time. Also used preseed and a menstrual disc after DTD to keep the swimmers in till morning. Ate a little pineapple a few days at the start of the 2WW. We were horrifically sick though during the FW so I really thought I had no chance. We barely DTD, and it was a half attempt when we did. It might be a false positive though so trying to contain myself until tomorrow AM.

Hoping you all get the BFP/progressions!! I'll no doubt report back with more crazy :)

I went out with the dog and when I came back my DH had found the test sitting out and was like yeah its negative so next month. I had to show him the line, and then he was like ok so we wait a few days and test again. He is so calm!! Then was like ok I guess i'm drinking your wine advent calendar. Men!!
