Anyone due to get BFP/AF at Xmas?

The pressure is on... in the TWW and AF is due right around Xmas. Spending the holidays with my in laws, and both wanting to drink through the holidays/not drink as in the TWW. I’m also dreading a little bit of feeling down if I get AF right at Xmas. If anyone is looking for a TWW companion/obsessor here I am ☺️. Good luck, and hope you all get your Xmas present 🎁 BFP from Santa 🎅🏻. Xx

Been trying for over a year.. just got this… not sure when I ovulated but I think it was 10 days ago if I try and work it out.. but who knows! What do you think?

@i123i, @frenchie4002, thanks guys. Yeah firet full cycle after the MMC was a few days longer than normal because I think my ovulation was all over the shop. Second cycle was the CP so no idea what to make of it, but I ovulated at the usual time at least, and now we're here - again I ovulated late due to the CP I think, so expecting a bit longer than normal...

Thanks guys! I am very (cautiously) excited though will see if AF shows today before telling anyone outside of DH. I think I came up with a way to get a BFP, just start one of these threads lol. The person who did the december one I was part of got one too :)

@frenchie4002- feeling ok thanks, maybe slight cramping but no other symptoms (at 9dpo) so I don’t have high hopes for the cycle sadly, especially if Natural Cycles was right when it moved my ovulation date...

@Shortmamashortcycles - sorry to hear about the CP. I had an early miscarriage at the end of October/beginning of November so have had one full cycle since then and this is the second. The first cycle was a few days longer with a heavier period so @frenchie4002 maybe you’ll have that too (if you don’t get your BFP!)

@WTFUterus - sorry to hear about the BFN. Let us know if AF shows.

So I tested again with FMU and the line is still there and I think getting pinker/darker (comparison of today vs yesterday attached). Hoping it keeps. Apologies, shocking lighting in both pics... yay for holiday traveling.Today is AF final due date so a little nerve wracking!

@i123i that is so frustrating! I find the initial predictions a little BS unless you have a textbook cycle. Even by cycle 3 premom still had me a full week earlier than I was the prior 2 cycles. I tried to DTD cycle #2 when it predicted which was very wrong and my HD was not impressed lol.

@oldermam I read that ovulation can happen up to 48 hours after the peak, so the 24 hour thing doesn't always apply. I am guessing it could go even later too. Hoping AF doesn't come this cycle for you. At least you have a lot to be busy with until xmas now!

@Shortmamashortcycles good luck!! Hoping that you are fully back to normal post CP and this is the one for you x

@WTFUterus it is still too early to test for a lot of people until AF/2 days after, so crossing everything for you

@MrsLeclerc that would be so lovely for you, hope the cycle repeats!

@Hopefull1981 it sounds like you have a good doctor, so hoping that this all gets sorted out/the tests help speed things up, good luck x

@pennysays the 6dpo stage is rotten, I'm also 10/11 day so you are so close yet it feels so far. good luck, keep us updated!

@Shortmamashortcycles thank you and sorry to hear of your MMC also. They really are shit. Can I ask if your cycles went back to normal length afterwards or changed? I’m still not really sure what to expect. I know it’s different for everyone but it’s hard when you just want your body back to normal and to know what’s going on! This is our first ttc cycle since as it took 5 weeks after the erpc for all my hcg to finally leave my system. Thought I’d fallen pregnant again straightaway for a while but never mind.

I know what you mean and this time of year is so busy as well. Got fingers crossed that this cycle is the one for you!

6dpo here, but have a Luteal Phase of 10 days, so will test on xmas day (in case of surprise present for DP) otherwise again on the 27th.

Trying not to symptom spot. SO HARD. ARGH!

I need to see more lines please people!

@frenchie4002, I had an MMC back in September so I know exactly what you mean. Also I'm so sorry for your loss - it's just crap.

Once AF returned, I had one weird cycle where for work reasons we weren't able to DTD at the right time, then a perfect cycle where again for work reasons I thought we'd missed the boat (DTD once the night after I ovulated) and that was the CP.

All I want is one nice, normal cycle where neither me nor DH are away with work! (Or this cycle, I'd take this cycle too, obvs!)

BFN for me again. I spoke with my consultant this morning and she said I should be seeing something by now. I will now start a medicated cycle now when AF starts. Due in for a scan on the 4th to check the follicle growth and then will have a trigger shot to induce ovulation. I do ovulate myself but consultant said it might be best to time to narrow it down. I wish you all the very best of luck and hope Santa brings lots of BFP’s.

Hi AF is due on Boxing Day. Strangely I found out I was pregnant with DS on Boxing Day 4 years ago so hoping for a repeat!

I caved and tested this morning, BFN. AF due Xmas day but have zero symptoms of anything 😔
I didn't have any symptoms the month I found out I was pregnant with DD. Fingers crossed for you

@WTFUterus sorry to hear that, you may have ovulated/implanted late or hcg levels not high enough yet though. Maybe test again Xmas if AF hasn't arrived?

@Shortmamashortcycles sorry to hear about your CP. I completely second you on being obsessed with peeing on a stick right now lol. The last week has been torture! Like you my cycle this month has been weird due to a MMC in October so dates have been all over the place... I thought I'd go back to a 30 day cycle which I was like clockwork but AF didn't show so thinking I may still be on a longer cycle like I had last month. May test on CD35 a couple days after you're planning to test if AF hasn't appeared before then. It really is taking ALL my strength though!

Hello, I've been lurking here for the last day. I hope it's ok if I hop on.

I'm 8DPO and AF is due Monday but it felt like joining this group would jinx it somehow. On the other hand, I'm slowly losing my mind - I've suddenly become super focused on the idea of a BFP.

I should have zero expectations as last cycle I had a CP, so this cycle has been a bit weird, plus I managed to catch Covid just as I ovulated... and yet here I am convinced that I'm in with a chance!

I only have 1 FRER in the cupboard so planning to test on Sunday (11DPO) if AF hasn't already shown up.

Best of luck to everyone else in the same boat!

P.S. when I had my last BFP, me and 6 other mumsnet set up a WhatsApp group that is still amazingly supportive 2+ years on. I've met a few of them as well in person (with Covid it's been so hard)

Good point! I think I will do a test on xmas morning and then again the day after Boxing Day…

I’m the same re not knowing if I’m imagining cramping and other symptoms! My boobs are sore but I’m not sure if that’s a result of the vitex too. Argh!! At least Christmas and dodgy xmas tv will be a nice distraction before we can test!
