Anyone due to get BFP/AF at Xmas?

The pressure is on... in the TWW and AF is due right around Xmas. Spending the holidays with my in laws, and both wanting to drink through the holidays/not drink as in the TWW. I’m also dreading a little bit of feeling down if I get AF right at Xmas. If anyone is looking for a TWW companion/obsessor here I am ☺️. Good luck, and hope you all get your Xmas present 🎁 BFP from Santa 🎅🏻. Xx

@Bristolgal567 huge congratulations on your BFP!

@Frida9 sorry to hear AF showed up :( keeping my fingers crossed for you in the new year!

@oldermam welcome! I’m also due on Xmas day. Haven’t had many symptoms other than feeling slightly nauseous on and off. I am not going to test until AF is officially late as I just can’t deal with the disappointment of seeing a BFN! Luckily I have lots going on over the coming week to keep me busy and hopefully keep my mind off it as much as possible.

The other night I did have a hot flash, never usually happens to me - has anyone else had this? Trying not to overthink it but it’s definitely not typical for me.

madeleine85 · 18/12/2021 22:27

@oldermam welcome, hope you’re feeling better. That’s really scary about your condition, but at least it’s identified. I’m 36, so not far behind you. Have had weird constipation, heartburn, freezing cold feeling and I’m crampy/exhausted since 3dpo. I’ve had all this my first month ttc though so trying and failing to not read too much into it. Going to our friends for drinks tonight which I’m feeling a little guilty about during tww, but should be ok.

@cocoforbes similar in that I’ve had a lot of cramps, but earlier than they should be for implantation. They were really bad night of dpo 4/day of dpo 5. Not impossible, but unlikely,

@Frida9 I’m sorry that your AF came, it’s always such a let down at first while you adjust. At least you’re onto a new year and a fresh slate. Hope you get a positive early in the new year
@Bristolgal567 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

@whymewhyme 9dpo is very early. I'm sure you've seen this before but here is a chart of the likeliness of testing positive on each day: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/ it made me relax a bit. I think first cycle I was already testing by day 6 lol.
Thank you!

frenchie4002 · 18/12/2021 10:54

@Bristolgal567 huge congratulations! How wonderful xx

@Frida9 sorry to hear that this whole process is so bloody frustrating. Sending love and baby dust for next month xx

Frida9 · 18/12/2021 09:56

I tested yesterday at 10 dpo and got a bfn, af has shown up early this morning so my cycles must be all over the place. Will admit that I am sad, after doing everything right for the last few months still nothing. Found out yesterday that my cousin is 14 weeks pregnant as well.
Oh well, hopefully 2022 is better for me. Good luck to everyone still waiting Smile

cocoforbes · 18/12/2021 08:35

@LondonladyTTC you are definitely still in the game! BFNs are always so disappointing though. This whole process is such an emotional rollercoaster.

cocoforbes · 18/12/2021 08:33

Welcome @oldermam! Sounds like you have some promising symptoms! When I was pregnant before I got a vvvvf line at 8dpo but going by the countdown to pregnancy site that is rare. I still test from about then though! Hoping this is your month! 🤞

LondonladyTTC · 18/12/2021 08:33

Congratulations @Bristolgal567 !

I tested this morning at 10dpo and was a bfn Sad I was slightly hopeful after getting what I thought could be a little implantation spotting at 8 dpo but ah well! I know it's still early though.

cocoforbes · 18/12/2021 08:28

Ergh the apps that I use to track my BBT have just changed my ovulation date by 2 days. Meaning an extra 2 days of the tww! I'm now due AF on Boxing Day. Was really hoping if it came it would be before Xmas so I could have a few drinks.

I also had some cramping yesterday that I thought could maybe have been implantation cramps as it would have been the mid point of the tww but now that seems very unlikely. Feeling quite deflated.

Hows everyone else doing?

Thank you for this. Though all it's done is made me think I could test today 😂😂 I won't. But still haha

oldermam · 18/12/2021 06:58

Morning ladies.

Can I join? AF due Christmas Day. Only my first cycle trying. Previously when I've TTC ten years ago I caught quite quickly but I have a condition that causes mc if I don't get meds on board. I'm nearly 40 also (next month) I've used OPK's this month.

I'm 6dpo, tiredness is horrific. Nausea started yesterday. I'm eating haribo to keep the yucky taste out my mouth. Way too early to test though. I do have some first response tests ready to go. I was going to try and hold out until Monday/Tuesday to test, but I think even that's too early? It's been a long time since I did all this!

WTFUterus · 17/12/2021 20:34

@Bristolgal567

9dpo is very early, I wouldn't lose hope yet. I got my positive today which is 13dpo and my boobs have been agony for week and a half now. They always settle down days before my period is due and this was only symptom I had really.

Maybe do another test in a few days? Keep positive x

Congratulations. The first BPF of the thread. Sending you sticky vibes 🥳🥳

Forgot to add im due 22nd dec

whymewhyme · 17/12/2021 18:28

Can i join in girls 👋
I'm 9dpo and since monday and ive had horrendous sore boobs, I'm stuggling to even wear a bra 😔 anyway the devil got to me and i went morrions and got their own brand early detection test and it's negative so I've well and truly pissed myself off and I'm assuming its pms but seriously I've never jad boobs this painfull before.

madeleine85 · 17/12/2021 17:41

@Pinkyflipflops I think I am one day ahead of you. 5 DPO today, but luteal usually 10/11 days. I should be 10 dpo on the 22nd, premom says I should test 12 dpo on the 24th. Last cycle when I POAS at 11 DPO I wiped straight after and there was AF, such a waste of a FRER. I am traveling to my in laws and get there on the 22nd, so I'd like to know one way or another by that day, but my body never does what I want :). When are you testing?

OP posts:
Pinkyflipflops · 17/12/2021 17:11

Yes this is me! Af due on 24th and I'm 4dpo today. Cycle 6.
When is everyone testing?

madeleine85 · 17/12/2021 16:17

@Hopefull1981 welcome! Sorry for your previous losses, and sending good luck for this cycle.

@cocoforbes COQ10 is for cell regeneration and has been shown to help fertility and egg quality, EPO is to help create ECWM to keep swimmers where they are meant to go/stay alive. The EPO should not be taken after ovulation though, only before. Lord knows if any of this actually works, when I had DD I wasn't even taking vitamins, but i'll keep taking it to help chances I guess.

@LondonladyTTC thanks, I've had these types of symptoms before my first month post pill, so fully aware it is probably progesterone and i'm just crazy :). Your's however sound very promising. I've never had implantation bleeding, but that definitely sounds like it could be. Good luck!! I read that after implantation bleeding your body starts producing HCG so to expect 3-5 days before BFP if it was that. Just a FYI so you don't get yourself down if it is negative, but obviously sending over big hopes that it is a huge positive. x

Hi ladies, do you mind if I join you? I am due AF on the 25th. This is our 10th cycle, but first post a fertility consult. We have had 1 MMC and 2 CP's in that time frame. I am on cyclogest and double dose folic acid. It would be amazing to get a BFP as my due date was 21 December. Really trying hard not to test.

frenchie4002 · 17/12/2021 14:40

How is everyone?
I’m finding it harder to think of much else right now!
Going to test on the 21st I think at around 12dpo with a frer. Last time I was pregnant I had no symptoms other than AF like cramps for the week before my positive test. this month I’m not experiencing that so that sucks but I do feel verry tired, my body aches and I have a funny tummy so hoping these may be good signs but who knows.
When is everyone planning to test?

Ooo exciting @LondonladyTTC let us know how it goes this afternoon!

I'm also live in London 😊

LondonladyTTC · 17/12/2021 08:28

@madeleine85 I agree that those symptoms sound promising 🤞🏻

I am approximately 9 dpo today and yesterday, for the first time ever, had a little random spotting which has now completely gone. Don't want to get my hopes up too much but it's not normal for me at all so I am wondering if it could have been the infamous implantation bleeding. I didn't test this morning but may test this afternoon just for the fun of it! Grin AF not due until Monday though.

cocoforbes · 17/12/2021 08:09

Welcome @Chasingrainbows1518 so sorry to hear about your loss ❤️

I also had an early mc back in July but I'm cycle #3 since starting to try again as we had a break to get married.

@madeleine85 it's so hard not to symptom spot especially this Xmas month! Sounds promising, I really hope it's your lucky month! I'm 6dpo today I think and I had some mild cramping yesterday but I'm pretty sure it's meaningless as it's too early for implantation.

What are coq10 and epo for? I'm taking pregnacare, vit D, fish oil and cranberry tablets. I also just bought calc flor as I heard from another thread that it promotes a healthy uterine lining but I haven't started taking it yet.
