New thread for us to continue our fertility clinic appointment progress...

Some of us are waiting for initial appointments, some are having tests and some are starting treatment!

Still waiting a king up etc forgot to say over the moon with my eight obviously considering my previous cancelled round and two eggs last time. Feeling so lucky for this moment no matter what happens. Thanks yo ye all for being supportive through the good and bad moments.

@Tinkerbell098 read your message completely wrong! Was thinking if thyroid not testosterone. I've had an incredible round and testosterone priming was one thing we did. I'll check what my levels were when I get home and tell you.

God eight eggs so just waiting to hear Re mature/fertilized etc. bridgerton is on Netflix too so I'm sorted for a lazy afternoon.

@Kay00 sorry I brought it up, I'm just a massive overthinker. If your consultant wasn't worried, it should be fine. I've just watched too many videos suggesting supplementation with DHEA if testosterone and AMH is low. But they probably mean much lower than 0.5.

@Tinkerbell098 My testosterone is 0.5... so lower than yours. Is this a problem? My consultant didn't say it was an issue... (and down the Google rabbit hole I go)!

@Tinkerbell098 I got the impression so long as ranges within normal all was fine and that highTSH is actually the danger zone but definitely worth mentioning it to cover all bases.

So glad your scan went well @magnoliasinbloom and lovely to have the due date to look forward to x

Just a general question for you girls. I have had my testosterone levels checked twice about 5 months apart and both times it has come back at 0.6 which is on the very low end of normal (range is 0.5 - 2.6). Should I be concerned? Is there anything I could do now or wait and bring this up at the IVF appointment when they work out my protocol?

Thank you for the supportive messages - saw an embryo and a heartbeat - phew! Due date is Nov 13th, I’m the 14th and my husband is the 16th so will be a party week in our household 🤣

@Sofasogood1 exciting times ahead. I had thin lining and have found acupuncture, vitamin E, CoQ10, and a heating pad on my stomach for 20 mins twice a day up to ovulation has really helped. I actually get compliments on it every scan since I started going to my new acupuncturist. Hope some of that helps 🤞

@99pctpractice glad your consult went well. I'm on max dose gonal F 450, 225 Luveris and we also added testosterone priming for a week prior to CD1 and added clomid 100mg CD2-6. They didn't do a baseline scan after my first egg collection which made me really nervous but my doctor said it wouldn't be of any benefit as the corpus luteams from my first collection would obscure the view anyway. But since they emptied all the follicles in my first collection I think that's what stops any of those jumping ahead and why you get an even spread of new follicles. That's my take from chatting with her anyway. Keep you posted on results over the next few days but I'm so much more bloated then my last two cycles so really getting hopeful no matter how hard I try not to.

@Tinkerbell098 good that you have a holiday to help break up the wait. Fingers crossed not too much longer.

Got the results of my OHs TuNEL/DNA frag tests today and all normal which is great so on track for IVF again and no need for ICSI. Possibly could have saved the money we spent on that test but when we're potentially working with so few eggs wanted to be sure we covered everything.

@Gracie2021 that is a wonderful result from this round of stims - so glad they have found the drug cocktail that works for you! Good luck for your egg collection!

I'm 6 + 5 today - have an early scan at the fertliity clinic this afternoon. Really hope all is okay - I'm sure it is natural after a long time ttc and lots of setbacks that it feels very difficult to believe things will go right, so the last few weeks have been a mixture of happiness but also high anxiety.

@Sofasogood1 mine was thin too i think 6.5mm but they said the layers are equally as important not just the thickness x i was equally as worried. I did take vitamin E.

Hi all. Hope you're all doing ok. I haven't posted in ages so need to catch up.

I'm waiting for my period (should be any day now) to start my frozen embryo transfer with my thin endometrial lining. Fingers crossed it improves - all tips welcome!

@99pctpractice i was given antibiotics after my d and c to prevent infection but my consultant said its recommended anyway if you have a natural one. Might be worth discussing

Amazing numbers @Gracie2021 ! Hope the triggering went well today! And congrats on a bfp @PurpleUnicorn01 - so hard not to be stressed out at the beginning after everything you've been through but all fingers crossed that this is the one for you! Symptoms can be so variable so don't necessarily mean anything - when I had a mmc I had way more painful boobs (like shards of glass, excruciating) than when i had my little boy's pregnancy!!

I had a consult today and asked about the duostim approach. We'd talked before about having a lower stims round this time to try to focus on quality over quantity (because quantity did not work out for me last time), so she's not sure how effective a duostim round will be but she's willing to plan for it and then we can just see how it goes. @gracie2021 I think you're on max stims, right? How did it work, did you have unharvested follicles after the first stimulation, or did it kind of start all over again? She'd plan on 225 gonal f for me to begin with with the option to increase it if nothing seems to be happening. I think she's a bit nervous that we could end up with nothing, but I feel like we really have to try something different this time.

Unfortunately there's still some "stuff" lingering from my miscarriage so we can't start anything yet. Apparently not products of conception so no idea what it is (!) but hoping that acupuncture and some husband time will clear it!!

@gracie2021 i know! I'm starting to feel a bit of a heavy belly, but apart from that 🤞 no bloat yet. I suspect bloating is only for people with sensibly (or over) responding ovaries! Its at 10.40 so at least I dont have to go the whole day stressing about what if there are none (I'm great at keeping a lid on the stress until the actual day of)
