@Brunette1989 ah my heart goes out to you. It is so difficult!! But it will happen I'm sure. Just to manage your expectations, last month I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant and got some mild brown spotting just before AF was due which all fit, but then AF came the next day. This might not be what's happening for you but I was so disappointed so good to try and manage our expectations! I am told spotting is actually quite rare... Fingers and toes crossed for you

Morning all. I've got a rather specific q I wonder if anyone can help with?? I'm using natural cycles and clearblue ovulation sticks. This is the first month ive used the sticks and I've had flashing smileys the past three days. I've put each one into natural cycles as a positive LH result, but I think natural cycles only works to the sticks that give you 2 positive days rather than 4 (like clearblue does), so it's bought my ovulation day 3 days earlier than it previously was. Wondered if anyone's had this with natural cycles before? Perhaps it's better not to input the stick data into NC??

It doesn't matter too much tbh as I'm gonna use the day 11,13,15 approach anyway, but would like to get my app predictions nailed if poss.... Any advice appreciated

Brunette1989 · 15/12/2021 09:49

Is there a January thread set up? My ovulation sticks arrived yesterday I ordered a hundred šŸ˜‚ so tonight will be working out my days in cycle as it hurts my head and then like you said @Decaffe try and follow @Purple29 suggestions. I'm open to anything right now, just keep getting everyone saying you need to relax and it will happen... I don't know how I can relax when it's the most important thing, it's all I've ever wanted to be a mum so when it's not happening it's frightening.
But will try to be positive sorry xxx

Decaffe · 15/12/2021 07:49

Day 12, negative FRER. No symptoms either, so I am considering myself out this month and will move to the Jan thread.

(Next fertile window predicted to be 27-30 Dec (assuming AF arrives on Sunday) so I will be following @Purple29’s plan and keeping everything crossed!)

Congrats to all the lucky posters this month Smile

Decaffe · 15/12/2021 07:46

Looks positive to me @MummyBear405

MummyBear405 · 15/12/2021 07:34

So sorry for being a bit MIA but like @Natalie2304 I'm trying not to let this take over my life!

I'm 10/11 dpo and I did this test this morning, me & my husband think we can see a faint line but trying not to get our hopes up!

Thoughts?

So sorry for the typos šŸ˜…

alexalexalex18 · 15/12/2021 00:39

So I just went ti the bathroom before bed and, sorry for the details, saw pink spotting on the tp.
I have a little but of backpain but it doesn’t feel like period.
I don’t want to get my hopes high as my AF is due anytime starting with Thursday but maybe I’m bot out yet?
Day 12 or 11 po.

Sjmc16 · 14/12/2021 19:16

@Cmacq32

Has everyone who has had a BFP jumped into the August due date thread? If not I can tag it xx
Oh could I get the link please! Xx
ttcbabya · 14/12/2021 16:22

Does anyone know if there's a January thread? x

Purple29 · 14/12/2021 16:22

@Cmacq32 can you tag it please.

Natalie2304 · 14/12/2021 14:50

@ExPatHereForAChat definitely came up within the time. Going to try and hold off until Thursday and don't have any FRER in as I used them early last month and got a false positive on them so don't want to buy any until AF due!

ExPatHereForAChat · 14/12/2021 14:33

@Natalie2304 I can see something but it's hard to tell if it's an evap. If it came up within the time, I'd be eager to try a FRER. Fingers crossed for you!

alexalexalex18 · 14/12/2021 13:11

@Brunette1989

I was born in February 1990.
It’s not necessarily about age but more about your ovarian reserve.
You do the Anti-Mullerian Hormone test and find out how many eggs you have left and if they’re actually good

Purple29 · 14/12/2021 13:06

@brunette1989 yes so cycle day 1 is first day of AF so sounds like your a 28 day cycle as well? Maybe 27 days? If its 27 then just adjust to DTD on days 6, 10, 12 and 14.

Brunette1989 · 14/12/2021 13:03

@Purple29 thanks for that it's really helpful as I'm at that point I'm open to any suggestions, though can I ask about cycle as I'm so confused and was confused when I had to have blood tests.
I get AF bang on every 4th Saturday, so is the day you have AF classed as day 1 of the cycle? Sorry probably a dumb question just want to try what you said so want to work it out the best I can 😊
@Tor88 yes I am a 1989 baby, I don't feel like I should feel old but the way everyone goes on its like I have limited time which makes me freak out. My partner works away a couple of nights a week but seems to be nothing compared to what you mentioned in January hopefully it will work for you before them xxx

Purple29 · 14/12/2021 12:56

@Decaffe he never said sorry. I was like clockwork so never thought to ask. I used to get varying days on the opk's tho. Anything between day 12 and 14. I think that's why you do those 3, so day 11, incase it was day 12 etc.... so think it covers you either way. But gives a little time for some swimmers to build their strength!!!

Decaffe · 14/12/2021 12:27
**@Brunette1989* and @Tor88* I don't know how much help it will be, but I mentioned in a previous post my my fertility doc told me just before I conceived my son.

We had been trying for 2 years and had nothing, DH was tested and fine, I was going through tests. He told me to stop peeing on sticks. That as my cycle was 28 days regular to DTD on days 7, 11, 13 and 15. (Adjust it for a longer or shorter cycle) and make sure DH does nothing between days 7 and 11. I was pregnant 2 months later. My friend tried it and worked first month for her after 9 months. It worked for me 2nd time round this time.

It obviously isn't a guarantee but there must be something in it.

As far as age goes, I will be 40 next year so I'm no spring chicken!!!
I have written all your notes down and I am going to try it next month - I've even planned which dates we'll do it on!

My only worry is that I'm not exactly regular - ovulation is sometimes on CD 12 and sometimes on CD13, and it sounds like this could be important!

Did he say anything about doing it daily over ov -1, ov day and ov +1?!

Meanwhile - 11dpo and stark white here, felt like the test was taunting me with its whiteness Hmm

Tor88 · 14/12/2021 11:39

@Purple29 yes I did see that the other day, thank you!! Super helpful to know. I've missed day 7 this time but dtd day 9 and will aim for 11,13 and 15 too :)

I'm 33 but will be 34 when I give birth (if I catch soon!) so feel like that's ok age wise, 34 for DC1 and 36 for DC2 (if only we could plan that precisely eh!!!)

My big problem atm is that DH is going to Barbados in jan so will have to pause ttc til May which is making me v sad, so a lot of pressure on this month šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

@Brunette1989 ah I'm so sorry, it's so tough isn't it. I spent this month's AF sobbing too, it's really tough emotionally and that surge or hormones doesn't help! I am also always freaking out about age so feel your pain there too. Though if 1989 is your birth year then you're totally fine!! Sounds like a god idea to do the sticks and thermometer, that's my approach (though am pretty new to all this!)

Natalie2304 · 14/12/2021 11:12

Said I wouldn't cave before Thursday after being disappointed last month but I have. Only 9DPO but can anyone else see something on this or do I have line eyes??

Hi Ladies,
Thanks for all the comments on my previous post, sorry for the delay I had to take a few days for myself.I really thought I would get the bfp this month so kind of broke my heart a bit, I just have this whole weight of feeling like I'm getting too old (because of all the questions you get asked about babies all the time being a woman) so every month I'm not it feels like it's less and less of a chance. Very dramatic I know but when AF is in town I am not rationale lol.
I ordered a load of ovulation strips and going to start doing those each day so I can see if my cycle differs to what it says on the apps I use, also got a thermometer to try that aswell. I tried to avoid going down that route as I know how obsessive I can get and how much it could impact me me mentally but I think if I don't try and do more to try to 'help' then I will stress more.
I've not had my partner checked as he's 6 years younger then me and we have been pregnant so it seems he's fine which is what the doctor said but I said to him if we're still going in a few months he will have to to rule it out.

Congratulations to the ladies who got their miracles, any advice gratefully received xxx

Purple29 · 14/12/2021 10:43

@Anotherboy I had a little more spotting today, a little cramping too but nothing too excessive!!! Did another test and still showing 2 lines. I cant wait till Monday when I'm 6 weeks and hopefully the epu will see me. I'm so anxious!!!
