@kizzy97 @Peonies94 @Tinkerbell098 @jhodd @EvelynSalt starting this from those of us that are out this month and ready to go for December!

This part is nearly as bad as the TTW - waiting for AF to be over and to be able to crack on!

By my calculations we'll all know before Christmas if the next cycle has been a success for us - so hopefully either way happiness or sadness there will be lots of opportunities for lovely family time x

@CrumchyLeafs welcome! Sorry to hear that you're feeling a little blue. I think keep optimistic is hard when you do everything right and it doesn't work. True to keep chin up. Are you using any other tracking or just temp?

Hey everyone, I would like to join! CD12 today on my second cycle TTC. I am only now starting to track again, because I have honestly been really sad that it didn't work out the first time, just took the wind out of my sails. Then I also got really sick around the same time AF arrived and am only now starting to feel better. I couldn't temp at all because I had such high fevers, so I am a little bit worried that I don't have a baseline for my temps. On the first cycle I didn't ovulate until CD22, I hope I won't have to wait that long this time and that it was just because I had just come off birth control. We'll see I guess. Definitely not as excited and obsessed as I was the first cycle. Hoping for a Christmas Miracle, but I just have this sinking gut feeling that I am going to be one of those women for whom it just won't happen as easily as for everybody else.. Sad

@oldermam I hope your FIL is ok. This is my first month using OPKs and still like 0.1-0.2 on Premom. Do you find they start getting darker or does it go from low to peak quite quickly? I think from previous cycles I should ovulate Tuesday but they are still super low so not sure as I also did a lot of travel and was sick so might be delayed?

It's the first month I've used them too! So I'm just as clueless 🙈😂

OH's dad is in hospital really poorly, though doing better than he was.

Selfishly it means OH gets to stay home for longer, my fertile window starts tomorrow accord to the Premom app. My OPK's are getting darker. So fingers crossed. It's only our first month of trying though! However previously when trying I always caught quickly I just couldn't keep hold of them. So my nerves are shot! One min I'm excited the next I'm anxious. I would very much love to give OH his own child 🥰

Hope everyone’s getting on ok.

I got a blazing positive on an OPK this morning. I’ve been taking evening primrose oil this month and have definitely noticed more EWCM so I’m confident that it works! Going to make sure we carry on DTD over the next 2-3 days and hope for the best.

Yes, I find the OPKs more confusing than helpful sometimes!
I came home earlier with my DD from staying the night at my mums and mentioned to DH about a quickie during her nap. He wonders what has gotten into me... asks if I have an ulterior motive... I mention about O yesterday and this is probs last chance today for this month and it put him right off :(
Wish I hadn't said anything!

Although he's obviously on board with TTC#2 and says how much he'd like another baby, I think psychologically for him sex is about sex and is he thinks about it being baby making I think it just doesn't do it for him 😂 . So am going to hope he forgets this conversation by tonight ... 🤞😂

I'd be a fertility miracle to point out exact hour of ovulation every month 😂 I also blame my new Samsung phone.

I've suffered with MC before in my 20,s I had 5 in a row then 2 healthy text book pregnancies after so tbh I can sort of detach my self from the emotional side of it.

Never wanted another baby after my youngest so 13 yeats have gone by but I have a new partner now and would love another (I thought I'd never say that lol).

This was TTC 2 of really trying and fell pregnant but it was the weirdest cycle. I usually get my positive opk CD13 and ovulate shortly after however in November I got My positive CD18 and it didn't go negative until CD22. I was in shock when I was having wrestlers legs around 7dpo if I went from CD23 as 1dpo and then sore boots 10dpo so took a test and yep it was positive. Started to bleed around 3 days after the tiniest pale pink spotting for a few days and then it just got heavier and heavier.

Im not going to stop opk's until I see ig go negative because I'm wondering if I'm ovulating later and just assumed in previous cycles CD13 I will ovukate 14 hours after when really it could of stayed positive a few days.. if thatz how it works I confuse my self so its easy mess it up lol.

The ones with the lines, just cheapie ones from Amazon. What’s CD, is it cycle day? I’m day 20 and have a typical 30 day cycle.

@Ballygowenwater I guess quite possibly because if you still hadn't O'd then the strips should show some faint line at least? Do you use the ones with the lines or the clear blues with circles? But if you've been active all month then hopefully you'll be covered anyway. What CD are you?

@PoleFairy I think if you DTD on cd11 and O on 13 then you're pretty good within a chance as that's quite close together! Keeping everything crossed for you! 🤞

@Maddylee interesting you say that - I've always been bang on regular with ovulation the same day every month. This week I had my booster Monday and ovulated Saturday which is 3 or 4 days earlier than normal. I wonder if the booster has anything to do with cycle change. Unfortunately DH and I didn't DTD in my window before O as I wasn't expecting it at all!

Hi I hope you don't mind me joining. I've just had a MC 4/5 weeks pregnant and was told to wait a cycle but I'm not so TTC1 December following MC. So starting using my opk's again yesterday day 9 from the start of bleeding. Happy opk's are negative because I will definitely know when I get a positive it will be because of ovulation not remaining HCG. Really hoping I ovulate soon.
@Jayjane79 sorry to hear about your MC. Are you feeling ok? Best of luck for next round. Yes, good the OPKs are clear for you, you'll know where you stand. I massively fucked mine up this month so not over ally hopefully!

I'm here now (1dPO) so going to hope / try DTD once more also tonight just incase.

My app predicts period earlier than 2 weeks thought as I O'd earlier than expected this month so ...

If nothing by 12d PO when period due then I will test. I have works Christmas party 16d PO so will def know before then 😬

@oldermam yes I would really like to get a BFP before my birthday!!! Have only been really trying the past 2 months but have been tracking my periods since may as I seem to have anything between 30-33 day cycles. I just hope the booster doesn’t mess it up as when I had my first jab my cycle was 37 days! X

I’m TTC for my second. I am 40 in January so really would like a BFP before my birthday. I just had my Covid booster so afraid this may affect me cycle. I had a longer one after my AZ.
I'm also 40 in January! And hoping to catch before. Thankfully I had my booster in work back in October. I've had my flu jab this week though. Just finished my first proper period since coil came out. We have quite an active sex life anyways so it's no great chore 😆

I normally just go off an app and count the days till O but yesterday was supposed to be the day and I try some strips which showed up absolutely nothing. Wondering now if I ovulated early. If I did that should still be ok, we’ve been pretty active all month anyway. I don’t really want to get into using the strips as I know I’ll get obsessed.

Feel like I'm out this month frustratingly. We have been "just seeing how things go" and not monitoring, generally having sex 3 times a week ish as normal but I happened to be in Savers on CD13 (when I think i ovulate) and was tempted to pick up some ovulation dip stick things just to see. I did one that afternoon and the test line was darker than the control line so good to know I wasnt totally off.

DH came home from work, showered and then I jumped on him but after I was done, he started going soft, admitted he had a wank in the shower so we stopped. I was away CD14 on xmas do. I know a surge means you could ovulate any time in the next 36 hours but I'm pretty sure I'm CD13 as I had lots of water CM on CD12 and 13 and then from then on I was dry. We did dtd CD11 so I guess theres a chance there. Think it will be easier from next month if we just start monitoring things and trying rather than just seeing what happens and missing each other.

Good luck! I hope your DH is okay, mine was on meds for a while too which also impacted him there a bit but he was better before we TTC our first. I’m glad your DH is getting help but hope it won’t be an issue for you both.
