Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

@FlyOnTheWall89 just ovulation, thyroid, blood count for anaemia and I think vitamin D. So I was asking about day 3 bloods etc and that’s what he’s writing to the gynaecology department for advice on and should hear back within a few weeks he said.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 24/11/2021 15:58

@Hopefullywaiting01234 what did they check for in those basic bloods though?

@Chanel05 hoping it is lucky 8 for me too - it’s amazing to think it is statistically more likely to happen before March than not happen!

Chanel05 · 24/11/2021 15:42

Hope this is the cycle for you @Indianna2006 cycle 8 was my lucky cycle twice! Statistically, you're very likely to have conceived by March. Good luck!

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 24/11/2021 15:26

@OK92 I have spoken to my GP and he is going to write to the gynaecologist for further instruction on if he should do any further tests or if they will see me - that appears quite positive! He did say on my other basic bloods and weight lifestyle etc nothing was amiss!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 24/11/2021 13:54

@OK92 @Hopefullywaiting01234 ye I agree... I don't think any of it is necessary. In so many countries there would be zero vitamins. ... BUT I am sure some help for early baby development and, I do kind of buy into some of the other ones like CoQ10 and Soy Iso because of how much there is on the internet with people taking them and then getting a BFP. It is hard not to feel desperate to try something new as every failed month passes.

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 24/11/2021 13:36

@OK92 - I have been taking it on and off, along with folic acid and vitamin D. Made no difference but again I haven’t been taking it religiously. I am also a bit sceptical about vitamins etc, if drug users and people who are extremely overweight etc can fall pregnant then why would a vitamin help me. I realise that is me being extremely glass half empty, but that’s the way this has got me 😞

OK92 · 24/11/2021 12:57

Been in a bit of a googling hole today and wondered whether any of you take or know much about vitamin b6?

I have a short-ish luteal phase (last cycle was 11 days). Considering starting on this to increase LP and maybe encourage the BFP.

Indianna2006 · 24/11/2021 09:56

@OK92 definitely positive mantra 🤞🏼

@FlyOnTheWall89 sorry about AF hun. But see what GP says. Even if it puts your mind at rest. If there not helpful though you could always look privately. I mean you could confirm your ovulating by temping. And I got a private US scan when I was ttc DD and I feel that month funnily enough. She confirmed all looked well and my lining was good. And poof baby. Lol.

I only had a pelvis scan about 14 months ago for pelvic pain and all was normal then and I know I ovulate. So I’m not too panicked. But if a few months go by , I’ll start thinking well could I have blocked tubes or could it be DH..so hard to just wait and hope isn’t it.

But we have to remember these time frames are normal. So so normal. I know lots of ppl who have taken 9 months to fall pregnant.

@Hopefullywaiting01234 hopefully they won’t say let. Let us know how you get on xx

@FlyOnTheWall89 I’ve phoned the GP this morning, awaiting there call back! If they tell me to keep trying I might explode! X

OK92 · 24/11/2021 09:27

@FlyOnTheWall89 sorry that you're on CD1 - it's really the absolute worst day of the month! That's good that you are going to book for some tests though - I guess it can do no harm and hopefully confirm all is well and give you some peace of mind? It really is a horrible waiting game.

I am CD7 today and AF still lingering. Longest period ever.

I've got my DH taking zinc and vitamin d3 now too, and adding grapefruit juice (for CM) and pomegranate juice (for implantation?) to the next shop. Gives me some sense of control!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 24/11/2021 08:59

CD1 for me of cycle 8 :-(

@Hopefullywaiting01234 @Indianna2006 @Kiaa @OK92

So with you on all of this guys. All the celeb announcements - they make it look so easy and unless they talk about it, I think we feel it must have happened quickly... which obviously sometimes is not true.

I do legs up and bum on pillow after DTD. I don't think it necessarily helps at all but it makes me feel like I am at least trying and I quite like the time to just chill and rest.

I am going to book an appointment today for bloods and scans to get everything checked out.

OK92 · 24/11/2021 08:38

@Indianna2006 wise words and agreed! Positive attitude...going to manifest this BFP 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Kiaa · 23/11/2021 20:36

@Indianna2006 haha love it will try anything theses days even if dh thinks I'm nuts 😂😂 I do remember doing it when ttc dd
Also I don't get out of bed I stay there till I sleep
Surely something new has to work lol 🤞

Indianna2006 · 23/11/2021 20:26

@Hopefullywaiting01234 @OK92

Oh the celeb pregnancy announcements!! 🙈🙈 there everywhere. Go on my insta and I’m like ffffsssss. LOL.

It’s hard girls. I had a little cry today about it all.

It’s the run up to Xmas. Let’s enjoy that and be merry and hope someone here gets a BFP to keep us ttc going! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I’m gonna try think about the nice festive season and fun things coming up. (Cos January is gonna be a right slump if not fallen as January is the worst anyway) and try stress less. We have no control. They IS the hard part.

Just got to trust that our baby will come to us at the right point. 🤞🏼 Positive mantra 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s doesn’t last long guys I’m just trying my hardest lol xx

@Hopefullywaiting01234 I know it's so hard not to feel pangs of jealousy. Our time will come!! Praying for December 🤞🏼

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 23/11/2021 19:16

@OK92 I know every time I go on Instagram or daily mail (I know shouldn’t read that anyways) and it’s the pregnancy announcement! I have a WhatsApp chat and every single person is pregnant or had a baby, I am almost bitter and angry towards them and I know that’s not a good emotion or trait but I can’t help it

OK92 · 23/11/2021 19:09

@Hopefullywaiting01234 I'm even finding every celeb is also announcing pregnancies! Literally can't get away from it!

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 23/11/2021 18:51

@OK92 - I know exactly how you feel. My sister, SIL, best friend are all announcing their pregnancies! It’s unbearable

OK92 · 23/11/2021 18:16

@Hopefullywaiting01234 only cycle 5 of TTC # 2. DD was conceived first time so I hadn't really appreciated how stressful TTC was and know I may have a while ahead of me still which makes me more stressed.

It also seems like everyone around me is pregnant with number 2 or recently had number two and it all happened quickly.

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 23/11/2021 17:58

@OK92 - what cycle are you on?

My mum and sister know as I have been in tears a number of times. They think I am being overly stressed/anxious which is causing the issue (whatever the issue is). One of my friends knows and she thinks I should tell the rest of the group as it might make it easier for me (dread going out as cant bear to hear a pregnancy announcement).

It’s really just a shit time all round

OK92 · 23/11/2021 17:48

@Hopefullywaiting01234 sorry to hear this. AF arriving is so tough.

Seems like a few of us will all be in the fertile week around the same time (I'm predicted 5 Dec ovulation).

I have also been trying legs up pillow under bum every cycle so far but will carry on doing so!

I told a few people (family and close friends) when we started TTC # 2 and it's adding to the pressure even though they aren't interfering at all. But I know they are all waiting for an announcement which I can't give them!!

Indianna2006 · 23/11/2021 16:08

@Hopefullywaiting01234 yes I know what you mean. I stayed off here last month and didn’t look at anything but even that didn’t do the trick.

Ahh CD buddy! Pants. Agreed just need to try enjoy Xmas with DD. And remind myself I’m lucky to have her. It will come in time. I’m sure.

Have you been trying for a year did you say? Is it full 12 cycles?

Soo frustrating if your first came easily. Altho my fired recently her first was wham bam thank you mam and second one took 10 cycles. She was losing her head. But happened in the end as I told her it would. So got to believe that for us too xx

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 23/11/2021 16:04

@Indianna2006 I’m CD2 also, feeling a bit better today was in tears yesterday. I never expected this to be so hard, it’s been the worst time of my life (I know that sounds dramatic) but I cant help it.

I keep telling myself to forget about it this month enjoy Christmas and try and relax (as I religiously look on mumsnet for people in the same position)

Indianna2006 · 23/11/2021 16:00

@Hopefullywaiting01234 hahaha don’t this makes me laugh. It’s bloody frustrating isn’t it but if we don’t laugh we haven’t got much else have we.

Was running on to DH last night about where my cervix was etc etc and he was just like WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT.

Officially lost the plot too. Quite happily sit in the lost the plot club until the BFP arrives. What else can we do?!

Meh! CD2!

Where abouts are you in your cycle?

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 23/11/2021 15:56

@Indianna2006 - I have been putting my legs in the air after 🙈 think my husband thinks I’ve lost the plot (which I have).
