Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

@Indianna2006 yep it feels good to be taking some action and seeing if there might be anything wrong with myself or DH. I can't help but think something is up when I conceived DD so quickly. Fingers crossed it'll happen at some point this year 😞

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 12:43

@OK92 hugs hun. Do what you need to do. DH ring Docters today and is collecting his stuff for sample tomo. And I might call as want this polyp checked and try convince them to do bloods.

It’s sooo crap. But we still got chances. So nobody give up hope okay. X

@Indianna2006 @FlyOnTheWall89 spotting arrived today and a BFN so onto cycle 7. Think I will get some private tests done this month as I can't face waiting much longer 😭

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 07:57

@FlyOnTheWall89 I try be positive. Cos otherwise I’d drive myself insane cos actually I’m a stress head lol. Remembered last night in bed that the nurse at my smear in May mentioned I had a polyp on my cervix. So then I went down a Google hole and it said if it’s in the cervical opening it can block the sperm. So now my head has gone 😂😂 worrying about that and where it is. Might have to contact Docters and ask them to check for me. Seemed like most people were referred to gynae to have them removed. But the nurse never mentioned anything to me!!

@lilrosemarie ooh does sound good. Let us know. Hope it’s a BFP for you!

Sounds hopeful @lilrosemarie, keep us updated x

lilrosemarie · 17/01/2022 06:08

I’m on my 12th cycle, today I’m CD33, of a usually 28-29 days long cycles. 😬 I took a test 4 days ago, bfn and I couldn’t bring myself to take another since … can’t take more disappointment. :/ I’ll try to wait until tomorrow to do it with fmu. 😬 Hope there’s a good reason my AF is late. 🙏🏻

Solven · 16/01/2022 23:02

Aww sorry @Indianna2006 I missed your message about AF, I think I was typing at the same time. I find cd1 so depressing, I hope you're ok xx

Kiaa · 16/01/2022 22:46

@Solven thank you 😀
Sending you all positive vibes and strength I know the journey can be tough Xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 16/01/2022 22:28

I can completely relate to all you've written @Solven, particularly the bit about giving up and it magically happening but I think @Indianna2006 is right, it is more hope that dwindles ... we all know our bottles, know the EWCM and what it means etc. You can't be blind to these things.

Sorry AF came @Indianna2006 😢. It would be great to get another positive soon on here. I have recounted and studied my graph and after inputting the results to natural cycles, they vary on what they say re ovulation day. I think I'm more like 11DPO, AF due Tuesday / Wednesday ish I guess. You are outstandingly positive. Thank you for that 💕.

Sounds like we all feel the same @OK92. I don't think January grey skies help the matter either. Fingers crossed for you. X

Solven · 16/01/2022 21:14

Looks like we're all due around the same time...it will be nice to have cycle buddies although I've got everything crossed af wont show up for any of you.
@Indianna2006 hopefully you wont need to get the tests done and will get your bfp before the 12 months mark. That's good your DH is willing to get tested and doing his part. I dread the reaction of mine. My children are 8, 6 and 1. The third one took 6 cycles, the other two happened immediately.
@ok92 I get what you mean about the emotional rollercoaster 😫 it's hard to stay positive, especially when pms and early pregnancy share the same symptoms. But you're not out yet🤞🏻

Indianna2006 · 16/01/2022 21:01

@OK92 yep it deff feels like loads of ppl get lucky quickly. But there are lots of the rest of us hanging out there.

Well AF showed up today. So CD1 for me of cycle 10.

We can do this girls we can. Just have to keep each other going. Those two lines will come for all of us at some point. Just feels so out of your control. And it is so disheartening when your doing everything you can

😘

@Solven hello and sorry you're joining us on the thread. I think I'm about to enter cycle 7 😞 I'm 10DPO but have my usual pre AF cramps (due day after tomorrow) and have had no symptoms to indicate pregnancy. Feeling super deflated. I also conceived quickly first time round so this journey is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster tbh.

@Indianna2006 that's good to have a clear plan in place. Just got to keep rolling the dice and know that the time WILL come for all of us. Like you said, many people will conceive in the 6-18month bracket but when I read threads on MN everyone seems to get lucky so quickly.

@FlyOnTheWall89 how are you feeling?

Indianna2006 · 16/01/2022 20:19

@Solven ahh I see. Good that they came back normal though. But yes I’d prob say next step is SA.
No tests for us yet. I will wait for 12 cycles before getting my bloods done. But hoping DH will get SA sooner as he is going to call tomorrow. It’s hard for the men I think. DH is quite good about it and is aware he needs to do his half.
Hoping if that comes back fine will encourage me to keep going for a bit.

How old are your other children or child?

Although you’re over 35 don’t lose hope yet. We still all easily have chance. We panic before we even get to 12 months. And lots of people still fall at that time frame.

OP posts:
Solven · 16/01/2022 19:56

@Indianna2006 I'm just a few days from entering my 8th cycle. I've already lost hope for this one as I got a tiny amount of ewcm which I always get before AF 😭 I think I'm going to have a drink tonight. My bloods were to check ovulation and other stuff like vitamins and diabetes, and all came back normal. Im over 35 so only had to wait 6 months to get it done, but because I already have children there's not much they will do for me. I suppose the next step is SA, dont know how DH will feel about that 😫
Have you had any tests done yet?

Indianna2006 · 16/01/2022 13:13

@solven hi, yep you’re totally right. It is mentally draining. And the whole up and day of this could be the month for them utter disappointment sometimes is just too much to bare.

How long have you been ttc? Good that your bloods have come back okay. Is that general blood or the ones in relation to your cycle? Maybe worth trying the get a semen analysis if your bloods were okay?

I’m hoping to get my DH semen analysis if he calls up. And I’ll do bloods in a few months once we hit 12 cycles. I’d rather know the sperm is good to keep going I think!

People say they gave up. Think they just mean they lose hope. But I don’t think any of that really correlates. I think it just has to all marry up. Exactly as the science likes.

We think everyone’s falls fast and within 6 months it should of worked. But I think in reality 6-12 months is very common. And lots of people even 12-18 months.

Human conception isn’t very well designed …but it feels like forever when you’re in it 😩😩 I know. It’s awful and horrible. And a stupid process.

Hi ladies, can I join this thread for moral support? I'm so sorry this journey is proving to be difficult for you ( although massive congratulations @kiaa , I hope the nausea will settle soon for you). Ttc is mentally draining and although I'm trying to be all related about it, I find myself obsessing and googling all sorts of stuff. I'm also feeling deflated by this whole ttc journey. I conceived very quickly the first times and feeling sad it's not happening again. I think I had a chemical last month, got a very faint line at 9 dpo then af showed up same day. I really had my hopes up for this cycle, and did everything that I could. Took all the vitamins under the sun, no alcohol nor caffeine, healthy food, legs up after sex and stayed in bed for an hour after, tracked with opk and dtd A LOT. I've had blood tests done and they came back normal. I feel like I've tried everything and just dont know what more I could do. I've seen threads where people said it happened when they gave up, but how do you give up? I'm aware of my cycles and and would still know when I'm ovulating when I see ewcm.

Indianna2006 · 16/01/2022 09:54

@FlyOnTheWall89 I think you ovulated similiar time to me maybe. I’m 13dpo today. But my temp dropped below cover line today and I’m crampy so period will turn up today.

I think most women would get a faint line by 12dpo how sensitive was the test?

Yes it feels hopeless. But because some ppl have it easy and we’re lead to believe it can all happen quicker than is reality sometimes.

DH is gonna contact Docters and ask for sperm check. And least that can be underway. And then when we get to 12 cycles in March/April. I will contact them for bloods then. As my same Docter knew when he came off meds and started trying so can’t really fabricate.
But hopefully at least if DH is testing we will know if that is or isn’t causing the issue.

That’s our plan. Feel a bit better to have a plan in place. But yeh..down on the dumps. Just feel super sad for DD. I really do wanna give her a sibling and she keeps saying I’m getting a baby when I’m 4. 😩

FlyOnTheWall89 · 16/01/2022 09:17

Took a cheapie boots test and there is nothing on it. My temp is still high but I ovulated 14 days ago I think. I've transferred all my Ava temps into Natural Cycles... so if I was pregnant, there would be something by now I'm sure. Urghhh feels hopeless.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 15/01/2022 11:14

Morning morning @Indianna2006 ... oh so sorry to read the the BFN. My OH had to contact them separately and he HAD to have a SA before any fertility referral. I was reading last night that really, a SA is the first thing that should be done... it's painless and fairly black and white in terms of an answer. It is so deflating and I completely emphasise. Maybe organising some tests will make you feel a bit more in control and with some knowledge that, hopefully, everything is okay and it's just a waiting game. X

Indianna2006 · 15/01/2022 09:44

@OK92 I just knew when my temp had dropped 🤷🏻‍♀️ May as well test as I knew what the answer would be.

I don’t know if they would. As a year would be like April. But we’ve have a fair few goes. I feel like DH getting semen analysis would at least answer if we’re wasting time on that front or not.
Cos other things for me are tick boxes for fertility clinic and we won’t get any assistance going there as have a child. So we will have to go privately anyway for most of my stuff I think.

But at least if we know the sperm good we know to keep going for a few more months before paying out?!

Eugh I don’t know what to do tbh ladies. Help 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Indianna2006 I'm so sorry to hear 😞 TTC is mentally and physically draining. I'm sure a GP would you see now if you say you've been trying for close to a year?

Even though I'm doubtful we've been lucky this month there's still always that little bit of hope each TWW isn't there. And it's gutting when it's all over and the countdown to the fertile window begins again 😭

Indianna2006 · 15/01/2022 09:20

@FlyOnTheWall89 when you contacted the GP did you have to do it for your partner? Or did he have to contact them? Gonna try convince DP to ring and get sperm analysis at least in the bag maybe.

OP posts:
Indianna2006 · 15/01/2022 08:58

Soo my temperature dropped this morning. Not down to coverline but it’s dropped.

12dpo today. So I decided to get up and test and get it over with as think therefore I knew the answer. Yep. BFN.

Expect tomorrow my temp will drop below cover line and AF will be here by Monday.

Into cycle 10 🤷🏻‍♀️ Really don’t understand what is going on here. Think I need to have a chat with DP.

DD turns 4 next month. And I’m not going to be pregnant when we pretty much started after she turned 3. 😭😭 I feel so defeated and deflated.

@Kiaa aww that’s lovely hun 🥰🥰

@FlyOnTheWall89 yes chart looks good. I’ve been putting my temps on Fertility friend as it’s what I’ve always used. I’ll attach mine.
My AF is due Monday or Tuesday. I’m 11dpo today.
So I will test Sunday 13dpo. As that’s my usual testing day as I use a sensitive pregnancy test and then I get a definite yes or no.

The only weird thing I’ve had is frequent urination the last 2/3 days. Need to go to the toilet more than usual. And when I need to go all of a sudden I’m bursting. Which is odd for me.

But other than that. Nothing. Feel very normal. And I’m under no illusion that it’s a sign. Cos not sure I really believe in symptom spotting lol. Mind plays tricks.

Time will tell I guess.

Doing fun things with DD today and got family gathering tomorrow so keeping busy.

Fingers crossed girls 🥰 xx
