Hi all

Just wondered if there was anyone else starting out now that wanted to keep me company?

Background is that I’ve been with my partner 3 years and I have one 5 year old from a previous relationship who DP treats as his own ( though he does see his dad).

I came off the injection in summer as it was making me fat and miserable, and last month we weren’t as careful as we should have been and we thought I was pregnant (possibly a CP) as several faint positives before AF.

Anyway DP now wants to try which is absolutely lovely and I’m so on board and excited.

I’ve been tracking my cycles as a contraceptive method so I know I’m due to ovulate tomorrow or the next day.

I would appreciate any advice and support as my little one was conceived on the pill so I didn’t get any of this excitement - but equally I don’t really know what I should and shouldn’t be doing.

@Samthenanny well I originally tested at 10dpo and got a bfn. But I was using Internet cheepies...

If I was you I'd get a frer and hold out until Sunday if you can. And maybe cut a hole in the jumpsuit 😆

@Beth262 Haha no I won’t get all excited just yet but it’s just so not me, I normally have a bladder of steel. I went 2hrs without drinking yesterday and still went the loo every 30mins!

I did have a few pains at the weekend but tbh I’ve no idea what’s normal for me so I don’t really focus on anything.

I’ve just ordered some first reponse but there’s probably not much point in doing one yet is there?
I may have to rethink my jumpsuit for Christmas drinks on Saturday if the toilet trips don’t return to normal

@Samthenanny firstly, thank you 😊 And not to get your hopes up but peeing a lot in the last few days is something that has been happening to me. I didn't (or don't) have any other symptoms x

A bit of a strange one but im about 8dpo give or take and for the last 3 days I’m peeing a lot! At least once or twice a hour, just had a cup of tea and I’ve been 4 times whilst drinking it Hmm it’s a full on wee also not just a trickle, it’s not a uti as I get these regularly and it doesn’t feel the same.
Anyone else have this?
Also really snotty and have a cold but everyone seems to have

After my bfn at 10dpo I managed to hold out until today (14dpo I think if my opk was correct!) and bfp 🙌 not getting too excited yet though, been here before several times! But trying to keep positive.

Hey all 👋 Really hope you don't mind me crashing this thread - I'm in my first ever TWW and the idea of going through this with others is a huge source of comfort right now!

I've caught up on the thread, I think to summarise what I've missed since the start - I'm 33, TTC number 1, to buck the trend my partner is older than me! First cycle, I think I'm 2 DPO, wasn't on any hormonal contraception, not using OPKs (yet!) but just bought a thermometer to track basal temperature, I don't have a cool job, I too could probably get away with being pregnant at all as I WFH and on Zoom 😁

Been taking folic acid for a couple of months and generally focussing on health and wellbeing, wasn't sure when we would start trying in earnest but we have stopped using contraception so I guess "seeing what happens" right now and just enjoying the process! I'm fairly sure we DTD when I ovulated as I get pains and noticed a couple of other signs. So we will see! Lovely to meet you all

So today is CD17 and I have had a blazing positive OPK, and a solid smiley on the clearblue digital OPK.... but no EWCM? Absolutely nothing. I've had a few familiar twinges in both ovaries today.

Could ovulation still happen without EWCM?

My mirena came out 3 weeks ago, so I am wondering if my body is gearing up, but not actually ovulating?

I was on the injection and I know they say it can take a long time, i didn’t go for the one that was due on July 7th and I ovulated for the first time July 20th 😂🤷‍♀️

Everyone is different I suppose, my cycles have settled back to 25 days very quickly also.

I have got a vile cold, feel sick, headachey and rubbish. Still bfn for me, only weird thing is my cramps have completely stopped and I’m getting a lot of discharge - sorry I know that’s gross x

Hope it's not too late to chat - booked to get my implant out this week ready to try for #2 (I have a 3yo and my partner has a 4yo) from previous!

Hoping to just see what happens as tracking will be difficult as I've always had irregular cycles.

My first was a surprise on the pill so I too haven't had much of the excitement of planning!

Anyone else come off the implant and had experience of when cycles return? X

At least being busy with work has kept you distracted!

Ive been spotting a fair bit the last few days, always happens in the run up to af for me. I'm going to try and hold off testing til 14dpo. The key word here is try! 😆 x

Ah @Beck3115 I feel your pain. Also roughly 7/8dpo but cramps the last 3 or 4 days and spotting too. Not hopeful this month 😕 perhaps my body just needs to reset first after the cp last month x

@Samthenanny good luck with your journey, it sounds like your body is trying to get back to normal already.

The ovulation pains for me are awful, I ended up in a&e the first time it happened on my first every cycle… they thought i had appendicitis. I’ve been on contraceptives since 14 to manage it so I do need to give my body a break!

7dpo )ish) but cycle day 22 of a 25 day cycle, clear blue 6 days early was negative so I think I’m getting my period with the cramps I’ve got

I came off early sept, had a little withdrawal and then seem to of had a proper period and my cycle is a standard 28 days. Thought it’d take ages to come back tbh.
I had a maybe a year off a few years ago but went back on it and from memory I was regular.
Under no illusions it’ll happen quickly and may take a while but I can hope 😊

Oh wow really, I have friends say about period pain but not ovulation and thought I was weird till I googled x

@Samthenanny when did you come off the pill?

My ovulation pain can get so bad I have to lie down, and sometimes I’m sick…

On the other hand periods I just get the normal cramps which are more than manageable for me x
