I’m 12dpo today and I feel like AF is on its way. Got some dull cramps so expecting that to arrive soon 😩 I’ve had such dry lips and a dry mouth over the weekend too, and I’ve been up since about 3am this morning as I just couldn’t sleep, so we you can imagine, I’m a treat to be around today 😭😂 Here’s hoping for many more BFP’s this week 💕

@Irishfarmer Congratulations!!!! Such lovely news. And congrats to all the other positives, what nice little early xmas gifts.

@Danani you are allowed to feel all the emotions that you need over this. It doesn't make you a bad person. I read early on that it takes up to 3 months for your body to normalise after BC (assuming that you were), so maybe that is it. With DD I got pregnant after 4 months without trying, and this time I was expecting it straight away, as we are trying, which hasn't happened. I'm only on cycle 2, but it is really hard to accept the statistics/that bodies don't always do what they are meant to. I'd say keep taking prenatal vitamins/folic acid as that helps, don't use lube that kills swimmers, and although you should try around the 6 day window, don't drive yourself insane (as much as possible). I really think that the stress can cause more issues. When we had DD I didn't think I could get pregnant, I had a big eating disorder which fortunately now is in hand, but had it so long I assumed that I couldn't conceive and was ready to adopt to have children one day. My husband had an op as a child and was told there was a 40% chance of him having kids. Even with that we accidentally made it happen, and I assume it is largely because I was really relaxed and in a happy place. Now that we want it though and i'm stressed it is harder! I am sort of with you on the chemical pregnancy, as I feel some weird guilt asking to get him tested after 6 months if it doesn't happen, so the confirmation that we can do it would be good. I think he thinks that bc we had DD, that means he is totally fine. It is strange because if I had to get tested for fertility it wouldn't bother me, yet I have hesitations asking him to check would make him feel bad if it were negative. Sending all the positive vibes to you for a xmas snow baby xx

beckybabyx · 16/11/2021 16:25

Thanks for your kind words everyone- I think I just had a bit of a wobble this morning. I am very much the kind of person that likes to be in control of everything and when I say I am going to do something, I want it done yesterday- which obviously TTC doesn't work like that haha!

I understand what you mean @Danani my friend had a MC recently and she said she felt a bit better knowing that at least she can fall pregnant in the first place- although so heartbreaking to lose the baby. If someone could tell me don't worry you'll fall pregnant in 1 month, 6 months, 1 years time, whenever.. I'd be like okay that is fine I can stop stressing, but it doesn't work like that unfortunately Sad

@Mummytobe93 yes we are cycle 3 of actively TTC with OPK's but been off the pill since December 2020, so really its coming up to the year mark soon- hoping for a Christmas miracle. Just need to tell myself to RELAX!!! Hopefully the Christmas spirit will help haha!

@Sar1010 I've had Gynae scans through my insurance with work a few months back and everything was fine, so I think after Christmas we will both go the doctors so he can get some tests and I can have a few more. I had a blood test on 8th November too for hormones, as I have an underactive thyroid so want my levels to be bang on, as I've heard TSH should be at a certain level when TTC but I haven't had the results back yet!

Irishfarmer · 16/11/2021 16:09

@Danani I don't think your deranged, I've had two MC and whilst some women hate hearing this, I took comfort from being told that at least you know you can conceive. Not that I would wish it on anyone, but it did give me hope, especially hearing how they went onto have DC. I think I would have felt the same if I had a CP

BH1926 · 16/11/2021 15:42

@Danani I totally get what you mean - least you know you can conceive. As horrible as a CP is it gives reassurance that everything's working kinda thing. I had a CP last month and got BFP this month and think it may of helped as I've read it can make you more fertile. Xx

Danani · 16/11/2021 15:29

@SantiagoSister, thank you for your message, I appreciate it more than you can imagine! I feel seen. And also less embarrassed about what I just said.

I truly trust that it will happen for all of us, I just wish we had control over when, so it's less of a stressful journey.

WorriedD93 · 16/11/2021 14:46

@Sar1010 the overthinking is the worst past, literally eats you daily. Google seems to be my best friend and worst enemy through these times

ohmybaby · 16/11/2021 14:19

@Peonies94 haha yay! Ok it's a deal - but no pressure if you cave beforehand. I know I'm seriously tempted too! Fingers crossed for us both (and everyone else still in the TWW)!

SantiagoSister · 16/11/2021 14:10

@Danani I can completely understand where you’re coming from, to me that doesn’t sound deranged at all, as awful as it is to experience a chemical, at least you would then know everything is working as it should, and you’d have more hope for the next cycles of trying. TTC and the fears and worries it brings is such a heavy burden, I don’t think you’re crazy for wanting some reassurance that it can happen one day. Keep strong, it will happen for you ❤️

Peonies94 · 16/11/2021 13:56

@ohmybaby yes let’s do this!! I’ll try my hardest to wait!

Danani · 16/11/2021 13:44

@beckybabyx and @Mummytobe93 I totally share the sentiment too.

I know I sound absolutely deranged saying this, and my heart goes out to anyone who has experienced a chemical...but sometimes...I think that having a chemical would be better than not having anything at all. At least it would indicate that my egg and his swimmers can do their jobs!
I know, I know, I sound like a psychopath saying this and I know how absolutely heartbreaking and devastating it must be when this happens...but it is almost equally devastating when you know you're doing things right...yet, nothing is happening.

Anyways, I know realistically the chances of us being healthy and able to conceive are much greater than not being, and I believe we're all on cycle 3 or so, so pretty early days still. Maybe we just all need to somehow chill and adjust our expectations that things should happen NOW! (LOL, easier said than done!)

Mummytobe93 · 16/11/2021 13:30

@Irishfarmer I know right, last month I’ve been either stressed, drunk, ill or not sleeping 😂 that’s scary regarding FB ads😬 👀

Can’t blame men for not understanding TTC, my 25 year old sister didn’t know you only fertile around ovulation!

Congrats @Sar1010 🥰lovely news!

Sar1010 · 16/11/2021 13:30

@WorriedD93 thank you! It’s due on Thursday but last month it came a day late so it may be Friday! I don’t know how to get on with my day I’m overthinking and expecting the worst. Really need some distraction!

WorriedD93 · 16/11/2021 13:14

@Sar1010 that’s amazing congratulations! When is AF due?

Irishfarmer · 16/11/2021 12:30

@beckybabyx I got lucky conceiving 1st month "properly" TTC but depending on your age you only have a 15-25% chance of conceiving any month. I was still disappointed last month when AF showed up though, even though it was my first period after MC. Keep the chin up. You most likely can conceive, my mams family is HUGE out of 9 sisters only 1 had fertility issues needing medical help.

@Mummytobe93 you also had all the stress/ excitement of the wedding during this cycle! Thank you for opening this thread it has been great to bounce thoughts off of women who understand, my DH wants a baby but don't think he fully understood the constant testing or TWW!

In other news, talk about big brother, I haven't said it out loud, or searched for anything on my phone. Just on here that I got a BFP, on FB the ads have changed to baby products!!!

Sar1010 · 16/11/2021 12:26

Today’s test is on the bottom. So it is getting darker 🥰

I’m just abit nervous because I’m having AF cramps! But I guess that’s normal??Really not allowing myself to be excited after the chemical last year. I think once I’m actually late for AF it might seem real.

How’s everyone holding out today?

@beckybabyx how long have you been trying? I’d suggest getting some tests it really gave me and Dh a new sense of life!
It’s horrid journey all this, and to think some people accidentally fall pregnant. Blows my mind!

Remember Remember The Month of November.. 🎆 THREAD 2
Mummytobe93 · 16/11/2021 12:15

Ahh @beckybabyx I’m with you on this one, and whereas my DH has already got DS with his ex, he’s more than confident it’s going to happen but sometimes it’s hard for me to stay optimistic. It’s 3rd cycle that the sperm was where it should be when I ovulated yet it didn’t work… I suppose we need to just keep going and hope it’s going to happen for us just like it happened for so many girls on this thread 💕

Mummytobe93 · 16/11/2021 12:06

Omg another one, what a week! Huge congratulations @Irishfarmer, I’m buzzing for you 🐝🥰xxxx

beckybabyx · 16/11/2021 11:31

Congratulations @Irishfarmer Smile

Another cheapie BFN this morning at 13DPO for me - AF due Friday and I feel like she's on her way. Had a little cry this morning as I just feel so down in the dumps about it all. Myself and DP had a lovely chat last night about all things baby and how we would decorate the nursey etc. and it's just hit home how much I want this.

It's so hard because TTC#1 and you don't know you can until you do, if that makes sense!
I also have added anxiety about it as my sister and her DH can't have babies unfortunately, so it just adds to the worry that it'll be the same for us - AHHHHH THE EMOTIONS OF TTC Sad

Irishfarmer · 16/11/2021 11:12

@Danani I know, it's just when it is there in words, I should have done it yesterday instead of questioning faint lines.

WhiteLily86 · 16/11/2021 11:07

Congrats to all the ladies with BFP's what a day I missed yesterday still refreshing the old thread!!

Hope you all have a really good healthy pregnancy and lots of big smiles on your faces this week xxx

ohmybaby · 16/11/2021 11:03

Sorry adding the link again as the bracket sends you to the wrong page www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/results-by-day-past-ovulation.php

ohmybaby · 16/11/2021 11:02

@Peonies94 I am 9DPO and got a big wave of nausea this morning and I am never nauseous, so got really excited!

Don't be down about a BFN at this stage - 9DPO you're only statistically 47.5% likely to get a positive result, so hang in there. (Stats provided by this great site shared by another member in the last thread - www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/results-by-day-past-ovulation.php)

I'm holding fire with testing until Friday morning - if you want a buddy to wait with?!!?

Danani · 16/11/2021 11:01

@Irishfarmer Congratulations!!! I don't know what it is about digital tests, but they just make everything so much more official, don't they! Hope you have a smooth and easy pregnancy, no farm work for you lady, you deserve to relax and be spoiled. :)
Hope we all get some of your baby luck! x

Squiff70 · 16/11/2021 11:00

Thanks @Peonies94 and @ohmybaby. I guess 11 DPO won't show on an IC anyway. I'll try again tomorrow. I have had a metallic taste in my mouth for 36 hours now and can't explain it. I know it can be a symptom of early pregnancy but I'm not holding out much hope now for this month.
