Help!!! Bfp then Bfn both clear blue digital tests !

Help!! I got my bfp on monday night with clear blue digital (says pregnant in words), so today i thought (as you do) the spare test from the same box i will use it to check again and came up not pregnant. I have had no bleeding still feel shattered and queasy, no cramps or bleeding.
Am i pg or not?

THe thing that made me keep testing was when I read on a pregnancy test manufacturer website that the most accurate way to test is to test 19 days after you last had unprotected sex.When I had my bfp it was actually 21 days after sex but i didn't test on day 19. Good luck xx

am off to bed now... will keep checking in on how you are... hope you get a bfp again...when are you thinking of testing again? with my other 2 pregnancies my bfp was early and obvious, so i'm guessing i'm not this time... something else going on prob. let me know what happens with you... sounds likely though, xxx

i have 2 dd 8 and 6 (7 on the 31st) we have been ttc since oct...it not technically that long but i had the coil fitted and had it removed because i was suffering terrible pain..i am really worried it may have caused some problems for us ttc..

sorry, don't know your background? do you have kids? ttc for long? this waiting is horrid isnt it. i know logically that i cant be pregnant but FEEL pregnant.... we werent ttc and i wanst looking for symptoms.... but still feel sick! really weird. i've had a 'period' too... though wasnt normal, so sont know what to think... am still breastfeeding so perhaps thats doing something strange?!!

i a worried that if i get another bfn then there must be somthing wrong and maybe im not ovulating now or something...stupid i know..its just i feel soooo depressed and a failure when i see its negative..

whats puting you off testing? being sick and being late sounds likely positve to me!

hi yellowbean..sill not tested..and was sick tonight after dinner some foods just dont taste right! but i dont have any symptoms now so starting to think i might just be imagining things..well except being 10 days late!! just want to get the ball rolling if i am not pg..sooooo frustrating!!!!!!!!

hows things holly? i tested again on 27th and 29th.. both neg. still feel sick though, and taste is funny. gonna arrange some blood tests this week to see if that sheds any light on this...

Hi holly78, just thought i'd add my friend tested negative until she was around 8 weeks pg, a scan confirmed her dates and this was baby no 4 and she kept going back to the dr because she knew she was pg! She did about 10 tests by then all different makes! Good luck i hope all works out for you! Happy new year! x

wow 14 days after..thats long ellasmum1....
well i still have not been brave enough to test and i am now 9 days late and no signs of af rearing its ugly head! i have came to the conclusion that if i am pg i will find out soon enough... trying not to get my hopes up but it is so difficult........ thanks for the hope ellasmum xx

can I just add that I didn't get a bfp until my AF was a whole 14 days late- did loads of negative tests over that 14 days,and then suddenly went positive day 14! I was so relieved as I thought I was imagining all the symptoms! So there is hope Holly xx
(Got my bfp 23rd dec so still v early days)

Hi yellowbean no news, i have been reading your other thread... its is a total kick in the guts to get a bfp and then bfn isnt it? you feel in complete limbo... my af is now 5 days late. Cant face testing because i am worried that if it negative then that means i prob was pg ans lost it and now prob need a d & c or something. but cant help thinking i could be pg and have the usual symptom spotting. have not had the courage to tell my dp that i have missed af he still thinks we have mc just dont want to dash his hopes. I will go and buy pg test 2mrw and if its bfn then i will just have to bite the bullet and phone gp..

Funny how a simple line can cause such upset.

Holly just wanted to wish you lots of good luck! Must be really awful for you being in limbo like that. I'm sure it might just be very early and you will soon test positive again!

just a little update...af should have been here by now still no sign...i dont know what to do next..no point calling gp untill after xmas, think i will wait till thurs and see if af comes or not,def cant face doing a test and getting bfn again... still feeling queasy and have huge headache..i would just like to get over this and get on with ttc.

hooly, hope you're okay. waiting is awful isnt it. my dates are same as yrs. i still feel sick and exhausted by testing neg.. but could be testing too early.... fingers crossed for you.

Update..... yesterday did another pg test negative....then last night spotting so called nhs24 who got a nurse to call me...i told her everthing and that i have now started having morning sickness since sat!!!! . she said that when i tested it may have been a chemical pg and thats why i'm testing negative now...but i have to wait untill af arrives (due around 20th -23rd) and see if i come on if not they will take blood tests as i may still be pg!! or if i have a heavy af then its prob a mc!! and to let my gp know...so now i'm totally confused and playing the waiting game

can i just pop my head around the door to say....

I have read a few reports on cbd saying positive when infact its a bfn i think it was peeonastick.com but im not sure. I think also that cbds detect lh as well as hcg. If this is the case then you could well have had a LH surge (ovulating) makingthe test read positive then saying negative some days later.

I could be completely wrong but as hgc doubles every 48 hours or so i think its highly unlikely that you would have enough hcg to get a bfp on a cbd (you need loooaaddss) on the monday night then not enough some days later.

I am hopefully wrong and you do get your bfp on the 22nd

i used Asda tests when i was late , £6 for 2 IIRC, they gave me the right results !

surely a test is a test is a test? if you have HcG in your urine, a test will pick it up, regardless of whether the test cost £2 or £15 surely? the early response tests can be up to 40 % - 50 % incorrect depending on when you test

I have read a lot of negative and positive things about cbd today. Will be able to make up my own mind by the end of this month hopefully.
