Ttc after miscarriage 🤞🌈✨

Just a thread for any ladies ttc after a miscarriage! Nice to get some support from people going through the same thing. So I had a MMC at ten weeks nearly three weeks ago now. I'm still getting faint positive on tests. My ovulation tests are still all over the place possibly due to the HCG still being in my system. So not totally accurate right now. So I'm currently stuck in limbo land either waiting for ovulation or my period 🤔 any ladies want to join the journey?!?!

@Bridgey8 how did the honeymoon planning go? We're hopefully getting married next Dec in New York (unless we have a baby)... I'm still looking for honeymoon ideas!

How's everyone doing? I'm 9dpo today and got a very very faint line on a FRER. Absolutely could be an evaporation line at this stage though, so going to see what the test tomorrow brings. xx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 17:11

@Bridgey8 aww that sounds lovely congratulations 🎉 something to look forward too and take ya minds off! Yes I know what u mean part of me wants to try now but the other half wants me to wait until IV had my first period. I feel if I wait I'm missing a chance 🙈 such a hard choice! Xx

@Skl2021 I'm not sure yet. We are planning on booking our honeymoon tonight for January to cheer ourselves up (had wedding cancelled 4 times last year) and whilst I don't want to wait I'm a bit scared if the same thing happened again and I was far from home (although I know we would be very Lucky to catch again so quickly). So could wait until after first period and then start trying when we are relaxed and away! But part of me doesn't want to miss the boat of trying straight away in case it's our best chance! Xx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 16:54

@Bridgey8 thankyou 💕 yes I expected it to still be positive with how far along I was and I didn't have medical management. Can't wait for things to get back to normal and to try again. Like u say hopefully we both get sticky beans 🙌🤞are you trying again straight away or waiting? X

Bridgey8 · 09/11/2021 16:50

@Skl2021 I am so so sorry - that is so devastating. Well I hope you get your negative soon and we are both blessed with sticky beans xxxx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 16:39

@Bridgey8 I know how weird is it wanting a negative test after praying for a positive month after month 🤦 I was ten weeks. I seen the heartbeat twice as I had two early scans and was told the chance of miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat was very low but it just didn't work out 💔 xx

OP posts:
Bridgey8 · 09/11/2021 16:33

Oh gosh I'm dreading that @Skl2021 - how far along were you? Hope you get a negative soon (sounds so odd to say) xxx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 16:25

@Bridgey8 I'm three weeks on and still testing positive 😩 such a slow process hope your test is negative. I just want to know where I am 🤦🙈 xx

Bridgey8 · 09/11/2021 16:13

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Hopefully this is a lucky thread. I am going to wait another week or so and do a test and see where I am. I've had to have antibiotics as they suspected an infection so just want to make sure my body has healed xxx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 15:55

@Bridgey8 hi yes absolutely! I think you get told to wait until after first period for dating reasons? If your ready then crack on! Lots of people do and have successful pregnancies! X
@rainbows1389 ohh that's good to know I thought u wouldn't ovulate until u get negative tests 🙈 I dtd once last week when bleeding stopped haven't since as I don't know if I'm ready! Ovulation tests are not that reliable either as there picking up the left over HCG 🤦🤣 x

rainbows1389 · 09/11/2021 15:28

@Skl2021 I was told by EPU that you can ovulate if hcg is lower than 100 as people have shots of hcg to trigger ovulation. Fingers crossed 🤞

@Rachae thanks, hopefully we will all get our BFP's soon. I feel a bit like that too even after two. I feel like each time I'll be prepared for it not to work out now.

@Bridgey8 I'm sorry to hear about your loss I got pregnant immediately after a mc but it ended in a mmc. But I have heard that it wasn't due to not having a break. I think it's just when you are mentally ready

Rachae · 09/11/2021 15:09

Hey @Bridgey8 - welcome :-) So sorry to hear your news :-(
I've always just tried again across my mcs as my body returned to normal and I tracked ovulation via opks. 2 of my pregnancies were subsequent, without a period in between - so it's possible to get pregnant again straight away. (If you're ready)
After 4 mcs, it's all rather clinical for me and I've detached myself from the emotional side - so I feel that I can just keep trying until one sticks xxx

Bridgey8 · 09/11/2021 14:33

Please can I join? I had a scan at 9 weeks but baby hadn't developed so had a d&c a week ago. Been told to wait 3 weeks (2 weeks to go) to take a pregnancy test and then go from there. Are people waiting for a period or just cracking on? Xxx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 14:24

@Rachae yes exactly never say never 🙊🤪🤞 IL be shocked if it does happen 🤣 xx

OP posts:
Rachae · 09/11/2021 14:22

@Skl2021 you never know... I only dtd on my last pregnancy once and it was fairly early on xx

Rachae · 09/11/2021 14:21

Hey @rainbows1389 really sorry to hear about your journey so far. Fingers crossed this is the month! xx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 14:05

@rainbows1389 there going fainter so must be getting somewhere just not very quickly 😩 yes IV been using opks but I think there picking up the HCG as they have been quite positive for the past week. So there not very reliable to whether I'm ovulating or not 🤦 I don't even know if it's possible to ovulate while still getting positive tests 🙈 so I'm just stuck in limbo at the minute waiting for something to happen xx

rainbows1389 · 09/11/2021 14:01

@Skl2021 waiting for the tests to go negative is so frustrating isn't it. Hopefully it won't be too much longer for you now. Have you been tracking with opk's?

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 13:37

@rainbows1389 hi and welcome! Sorry your going through this too. Im 30 and have two children so ttc my 3rd. This was my first miscarriage. I'm 3 weeks on and still getting faint positive tests. Good luck with your tww it drags doesn't it! 🤞🤞 For a lovely bfp!! ✨ X

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 13:34

@Rachae I only stopped bleeding last week so we DTD once got carried away 🤦 so yes ther could be a chance I could be pregnant but don't think I was ovulating 🤔 we haven't done it again since. Now I'm just tracking ovulation to see if I'm going to ovulate or see if af arrives. It's such a mess I don't know where I am in the cycle I could of ovulated and not picked it up on tests 🤔🙈 I was going to wait until I'd had a period xx

Hi everyone, I'd like to join.

First of all I'm so sorry to hear about all of your losses. It's the worst feeling in the world isn't it. I'm 32 with no children. Started TTC in February this year and fell pregnant first cycle. Unfortunately that ended on my birthday at around 5 weeks. I then fell pregnant again with no period in between but unfortunately that one was a mmc diagnosed at 9 weeks and baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks. It took 10 weeks for my hcg to return to normal and we've been trying again since august/September.

Currently 4dpo and got the usual achy boobs which I always get immediately after ovulation. Hoping time passes quickly, hate this limbo!

Rachae · 09/11/2021 13:30

@Skl2021 ooo I see! So have you ttc across this cycle/ since the mc? Sorry, I might have read it wrong and assumed you haven't and are waiting for your period. So is it possible that you could be pregnant again? xx

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 13:29

@Rachae yes my symptoms are the same as period aswell 🤦 ohh yes fingers crossed it's good news! Nope no symptoms here haven't had ewcm which I usually get around ovulation so don't think I have ovulated yet. If my cycles stay on track I should be due my period next week so will see what happens xx

For everyone btw... as somewhat of an unfortunate veteran of this... I can't recommend therapy enough. Whatever you can get access to - counseling, life coaching, psychologist. I've had all since my first mc in 2019 and it's helped me get through this so much. Especially when I've found that unless someone has had a mc, family and friends can seem really unsupportive - because they just don't understand. xxx

Rachae · 09/11/2021 13:24

@Skl2021 thank you :-) Mmm I'm skeptic on symptoms before 4 weeks to be honest, as I've always tracked mine via period and pregnancies and they're pretty much the same!
The only differences are that I generally track feeling happy/calm/ level headed during pregnant cycles after day 24 (instead of stressed)... and paint-like white discharge (instead of thin/none).

I've got both of those symptoms now, so fingers crossed they stick around and it's good news!

Did you have any? xx
