Ttc after miscarriage 🤞🌈✨

Just a thread for any ladies ttc after a miscarriage! Nice to get some support from people going through the same thing. So I had a MMC at ten weeks nearly three weeks ago now. I'm still getting faint positive on tests. My ovulation tests are still all over the place possibly due to the HCG still being in my system. So not totally accurate right now. So I'm currently stuck in limbo land either waiting for ovulation or my period 🤔 any ladies want to join the journey?!?!

@claremc1983 It is hard. Very hard. And i found no one irl tends to talk about it. Ive had mc, mmc and a chemical pregnancy. Don't loose hope though. After my mmc and that first next cycle I went on to conceive my ds who is now 2 years old and ruling the roost! Once you've tested negative and your levels are all back to normal, if you're mentally ready to try again go for it. Sending love x

claremc1983 · 20/11/2021 11:37

@Beth262 thanks for your reply. It's so hard...im 38 and will be 39 in January, like you i'm feeling time isn't on my side..I was hoping to wait to test negative then try again. I always find myself obsessing about TTC anyway so his knows how I'll cope after a loss x

Beth262 · 20/11/2021 07:38

@claremc1983 sorry to hear about your mmc, it's so shitty. When I had a mmc with medical management they encouraged me to have a negative test and then wait for one complete cycle before trying again so I'd have an idea of dates. However I had a chemical pregnancy last month and after testing negative 2 weeks ago I'm trying again right away. This is because though I'm 39 and don't feel I have time to wait for stop gap cycles!! 😂
Good luck x

claremc1983 · 20/11/2021 07:19

Hi there. I know it's super early days for me but for those who have experienced a loss. When did you start trying again? I've quite recently had medical management for a MMC. I'm still bleeding so waiting. I'm going to wait for a negative test then start again I think? Thanks xx

PossiblyPertunia · 18/11/2021 22:15

@Bellesjp I'm 99% sure it was a chemical (I don't know if that makes things better or worse, sorry!). I've had 3 miscarriages in a row now and currently 9dpo and although I've had twingey ovaries which is a symptom for me, I also had those last month which was the first month we've actively tried and not fallen pregnant (and then miscarried...).

Hhdxx · 18/11/2021 07:08

Hello everyone,
Sorry I've not messaged for a few days, I've been really busy.
I've stopped testing but presuming I'm still pregnant. I've still got cramps though so quite worried.
Hope everyone is ok. Xxx

Bellesjp · 17/11/2021 20:07

@PossiblyPertunia I had a negative test on cheapies after 5 weeks or so, then I didn't test until last week in TWW and was faintly positive on a frer so I don't know whether that's just picking up a tiny amount of hcg from before or whether it was a chemical pregnancy this month. No I wasn't rescanned, I wasn't offered this from the hospital but I had medical management and they said the placenta looked intact so not sure x

PossiblyPertunia · 17/11/2021 19:59

@Bellesjp oh wow definitely should be negative! When was your last positive test? Sorry if you've already explained but have you been rescanned?

Bellesjp · 17/11/2021 17:13

Hi @PossiblyPertunia I don't think I ovulated my first cycle either. I'm actually nearly 10 weeks after my tfmr though now so really hoping it's not still in my system 😔

Skl2021 · 17/11/2021 17:11

@LittleMysSister same as me 🤣 just plodding along waiting for something to happen 🤦🙈 x

Got my bloods back today and my HCG is back to pre-pregnancy levels, which is a real relief, but I don't even know where to start with this cycle? No idea where all this would put me, whether I'd be ovulating, whether AF will come as expected or will be later?!

Such a minefield isn't it.

PossiblyPertunia · 17/11/2021 16:31

@Bellesjp I only got a negative test 4 weeks and 2 days post surgical management and then came on my period the following day. So I didn't ovulate at all that first cycle! I've heard that it's actually fairly common.

Skl2021 · 17/11/2021 13:52

@Bellesjp I'm sorry to hear that. Horrible when they won't help you. You only want to know what's going on 💕
@Bridgey8 yes hopefully it goes.lighter or goes completely negative 🤞 nope nothing happened here yet. Hoping next week if I did ovulate over the weekend. So just a waiting game xx

OP posts:
Bridgey8 · 17/11/2021 13:46

@Skl2021 they told me to wait to three weeks so will test again next Tuesday. Has your AF shown up yet? Xxx

Bellesjp · 17/11/2021 13:36

Well AF turned up for me this morning so my faint lines must either be left from before or was a chemical this month. Midwife wouldn't give me a blood test but said wait and see what happens, has told me to retest in a week and see if still got a faint line 🙄

Skl2021 · 17/11/2021 13:10

@Bridgey8 I'm still testing positive 4 weeks on but mine was natural. Is it strong positive? U might have to ring epu and check most say test after 2,3 weeks.

@Rachae I'm doing ok not much to report still waiting for something to happen 🤔🙌 x

Bridgey8 · 17/11/2021 13:05

I'm still testing positive.. 2 weeks post surgery. Is that fairly normal? Xxx

Rachae · 17/11/2021 13:05

Hey @Skl2021 I'm doing good thanks, how are you feeling today? x

Skl2021 · 17/11/2021 09:14

Everyone doing ok? 💕✨

Morning everyone! So I didn't chill ... Ive been up since 2am worrying 🤣 just goes to show that we shouldn't symptom spot as I was legit convinced the test would be lighter and it's darker this morning. Phew xx

Rachae · 15/11/2021 17:05

Thanks @skl2021 Going to try and chill tonight and hopefully the night will pass quick 🤞 xx

Skl2021 · 15/11/2021 15:27

@Rachae yes I did use opks it did go positive not as positive as IV seen it other months but now it's gone negative again so hope it was that I just want my period never thought I would say that 🤣🙈 it was so hard getting a positve opk and not DTD! We both decided it was best we wait until after period. Yes don't get to down about test lines and darkness it causes major anxiety. Your lines looked lovely and like u said much darker than previous so 🤞🤞 keep positive!! Xx

@Hhdxx thank you! Ohh fantastic news on the weeks indicator... I'm hoping for the same outcome on Sunday when I do one of those. Super nervous as I got 1-2 weeks when I was 5 weeks pregnant before, so I'm scarred by that experience.

@Skl2021 Hello, how are you doing? Did you measure it with an opk? Fingers crossed!

I'm ok today... it's hard when it isn't a test day. Yesterday I felt confident and today I feel really anxious waiting for the test tomorrow to see if the line got darker. Had my bloods today at the docs too and got the second round wednesday... they won't come back until next week tho - so I think the tests might be the earliest indicator of if things are ok xx

Skl2021 · 15/11/2021 12:13

@Hhdxx did they give u a date for your scan? Hopefully u don't have to wait too long. Yes I think its normal to have some cramps and stretching as long as there is no blood. Im doing ok I think I may have ovulated over the weekend. Well my tests went positive and now they have dropped again. So hopefully af appears sometime next week. I will be 4 weeks post miscarriage on Wednesday just want to get my.first period over then start trying again. Still testing faint positive on pregnancy tests so hoping that goes negative soon 🤞 x

Hhdxx · 15/11/2021 12:08

@Skl2021 thank you so much. It's so hard and anxiety is bad but I'm just grateful.
I've got quite strong cramps but I'm trying to see this as a good thing... I think...
How are you today? Xxc
