@Essexnewbie good luck for starting your testing tomorrow Smile I know exactly what you mean, I’m already dreading the TWW too, I know it’s going to feel like forever until I can take a test and I’ll be symptom spotting like crazy 😩

@Natalie2304 thank you for your kind words ❤️ Good luck for getting your positive ovulation test tomorrow, I’m hoping to get mine at the end of this week. How lovely if you can conceive this month and have the same due date! Wishing you lots of luck.

@CrumchyLeafs that’s great news you’ve got a positive ovulation test so soon after coming off BC, I imagine that’s a relief to know it’s all getting back on track Smile good luck for this cycle! ✨

Whoknew22 · 09/11/2021 15:58

@SantiagoSister I suppose this is my first month trying. I stopped taking my pill in September and haven’t had a period since. However a few weeks ago I bought ovulation tests. The week before last I was doing them every day and the second line was getting darker and darker until it was really dark and the day after there was no dark line and hasn’t been since. I am hoping that means I have ovulated. This is all new to me. Never done the temperature or CM checks so if it doesn’t happen this month, it’s something I can do in the future.

Funnily enough, I have not felt like sex at all recently since probable ovulation. I recon I am now 8DPO (hopefully).

@CrumchyLeafs that all sounds so positive xx

CrumchyLeafs · 09/11/2021 15:28

I am also TTC for the first time this month! I stopped taking BC last month and am currently on CD21 and just had my first clearly positive ovulation test today! I was already giving up thinking that I wouldn't ovulate at all the first month off BC since all my apps had predicted it for CD15 or CD17, but I have all the signs! Soft, open cervix and tons of egg-white CM! I am so excited! Smile

I guess this means I will ovulate within the next 12 to 36 hours! We BD already this morning and will again tonight, we do it every day regardless of TTC, so I am really only tracking and testing so I know when I can take the first pregnancy test (and to see if I ovulate at all).

Natalie2304 · 09/11/2021 15:26

Hi ladies, i hope you don’t mind me joining this thread. I’m currently on CD 14 and due to ovulate tomorrow. Been tracking ovulation for the last few months so hopefully that’s right but doing tests to check anyway. I’m having the usual ovulation symptoms (which unlucky for me is always a bout of thrush 🙄)
Going to test on 20th which will be 10DPO and AF is due on 21st.
This is our first month TTC baby no 2 so not expecting much, but if we conceive we will have the same due date as DD which would be lovely.

@SantiagoSister I’m really sorry to hear about your loss. Sending lots and lots of baby dust your way x

Essexnewbie · 09/11/2021 15:09

@Whoknew22 we do have this! Nice to be speaking to people in the same boat.

@SantiagoSister I should be ovulating in a week or so. Will start testing with clear blue from tomorrow and see what happens. Dreading the TWW already!

SantiagoSister · 09/11/2021 14:21

Thank you all so much for your warm welcomes and condolences, it’s lovely to be amongst like-minded people on their TTC journeys, and quite a few newbies like myself too ☺️

@Whoknew22 pleased to hear it happened for you easily last time, have you been trying for long this time round? Honestly, wouldn’t you think for something that’s meant to happen so naturally, it would be a lot easier?! I got my clearblue monitor from the Dr Fertility website for about £85 I think it was, and then you just buy the refill sticks (I think they are around £20ish which should get you around 2 months worth). It is quite expensive, but for me it was worth it as it takes all the guess work out of trying to read the OPK strips, it just clearly tells you whether you’re low, high or peak, so you can time DTD correctly. I do love a gadget too so for me, I think it’s great, and the reviews from others are really good too 😊

@ajayelbee thank you, sending them right back at you too! ✨ it does seem like a really good thread and it’s nice that there’s a few of us that are quite new to this all together too!

ajayelbee · 09/11/2021 12:31

@Curlywurly3 we’re cycle buddies! This part does seem quick doesn’t it. Then the TWW feels so much longer!

@SantiagoSister I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending good vibes out to you for this cycle! This is the first thread I’ve posted on too. Just felt like such good energy from everyone on it ☺️

Whoknew22 · 09/11/2021 12:27

@SantiagoSister so so sorry for your loss. Good to have you on board. I’m new to this too. Never really did the TTc thing before. Last time it just happened so feeling the anxiety around it this time. Didn’t realise so much went into it.

Is the clear blue advanced fertility monitor expensive? Maybe I should look into it.

Welcome to all the other newbies too. We’ve got this 🥰

SantiagoSister · 09/11/2021 12:09

Hi @Essexnewbie! Thank you ❤️ Nice to know I have a fellow newbie on these threads Smile

Good luck to you too! Where are you at in your cycle? I’m hoping to ovulate around the weekend, fingers crossed!

Essexnewbie · 09/11/2021 11:56

Sorry didn’t know how to at you @SantiagoSister in my last message

Essexnewbie · 09/11/2021 11:54

I’m a newbie too! Sorry to hear about your loss. Good luck on your journey :)

SantiagoSister · 09/11/2021 11:38

Good morning ladies

Please can I join this thread? I’m a complete Mumsnet newbie, I’ve been reading various threads on here for months but never joined until today. So apologies for having no idea what I’m doing! I wanted to join this thread as I love how active it seems, I’m on a few other forums, but they are fairly quiet and I’d like to have a bit more support on the TTC journey.

We are trying to conceive our second baby after losing our first baby at 29 weeks earlier in the year. This is our first month TTC since and I am using the clearblue advanced fertility monitor as it worked well for us last time (I conceived the first cycle trying, couldn’t believe it!). I’m currently on CD11, hoping for a peak reading by the weekend, currently on ‘high’.

Good luck to you all ✨

Curlywurly3 · 09/11/2021 11:28

@BellaBella1984 @ajayelbee mine is due to start on 12th, it does seem to come around quickly!

ajayelbee · 09/11/2021 09:25

Hi @BellaBella1984 !

Me! Mine’s due to start the 11th/12th. I guess that’s quite soon now actually 🤣 I’m tracking BBT and using OPKs for the first time this cycle to see if I can really pinpoint my ovulation.

BellaBella1984 · 09/11/2021 09:06

Hi everyone! Is anyone else due to have their FW later in the month? Mine's due w/c 15th.

HereWeGoAgain2022 · 09/11/2021 08:24

@winkles23

Fingers crossed for a easy and healthy 9 months! 🤞🏼

@Essexnewbie

Welcome and good luck this month!!

It looks like I'm out this month. My temperature dipped and I started spotting, so AF seems to be just around the corner. Already planning a sangria night with a friend. 😊🍷

I'll try to make to most out of the next couple of weeks before ttc action starts up again.

Essexnewbie · 08/11/2021 20:20

Hi there

This is our first month TTC so jumping on this thread :) I’m new to the forum also but it’s making me feel excited and comforted reading everyone’s comments! My fingers are crossed for everyone x

Yeah, I've told the other half - he's so excited. We keep trying to ground each other as it's such early days but it's so hard not getting carried away!

@Newlywed2021

Made a mess in my last post, this was mean for you:

By the time you get to the last few days of the TWW if feels like time as actually stoped. Such long days! Best of luck for you this cycle. 😊

@Whoknew22

That must be so hard when you are not sure what your cycle is doing.

I said the same thing right after having my first. I announced he was going to be an only child. My midwife said "I said the same thing and now I have three" 😂

It's truly is amazing what we are willing to go through to have a baby. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Alas, here we go again!

HereWeGoAgain2022 · 07/11/2021 10:56
**@winkles23 I can see a very faint line too! Fingers crossed for you.

I am new to these forums, second cycle of trying, currently CD6….never knew months went so slowly!
@winkles23
Definitely get a frer and test again tomorrow or the next day, hopefully it will give you some reassurance.

It's my first cycle trying for baby #2. But it happened really fast the first time so I was hoping it would be then same this time.

We are going back home for a visit in a few months so I was hoping to be past the 12 weeks to tell people in person. With our son we had to tell family and friends via video chat so I'm hoping the timings will work out this time! 🤞🏼

Whoknew22 · 07/11/2021 10:55

@HereWeGoAgain2022 awwww im unsure what to do. I don’t even know what I am passed ovulation. I had a positive ovulation test on Monday but unsure when my period is due as not had 1 since I stopped the pill in September. So will try and wait until Friday I think. I have felt some tightening in my ovary area and I suppose that maybe has signalled ovulation as I do often get that.

I went on the pill after I had my little boy as just thought I wouldn’t want another after a traumatic birth but here we are 🤣

@winkles23 amazing, can defo see a line. That’s really exciting. I recon in 2 days you’ll have a strong one.

Good luck everyone xx
