I'm not sure, I want to test early but not sure when to do it AF not due until 16th, what about you?x

@Theresamagicalplace Just buy a pack of 50 cheapies on Amazon! I bought a whole box for 14€ cause I have been using them several times a day.

@Theresamagicalplace I agree, not quite there yet. When I did it the week before last mine progressively got darker each day then completely went away. I only tested once a day. If we’re not lucky this month, I’ll take peoples advice and do it more often. May even do the temp thing too. Why not 😂😂 whatever it takes hey? Xx

Thanks! It was taken at about 4.30 after a 4ish hour hold with barely any water so probably pretty accurate. I was hoping to avoid buying more but guess I'll have to splash out haha

I'd say keep testing until it gets darker. If it gets lighter again then this might have been your peak, it also depends on how concentrated your urine was, did you hold it long enough and not drink too much water? What time of day did you take it?

Hi can I jump on and request some eyes please. This is my first cycle and first time doing opks and I'm not sure if this counts as a positive or not 🙈 there's a thin line as dark as the control but that's it. Any opinions please

This is the first time I've ever tested more than once a day and it was purely because I was sure I was due to ovulate today so was surprised not to see a positive today. (I only know this from tracking ovulation for the last few months and it always seems to be CD12 for me).

I googled it (as you do 🙈) and it said that FMU is not usually the best time to do OPK's as the hormone is usually released during the night and takes a few hours to get into the urine. And turns out that must be correct as for the positive around lunch time.

@Natalie2304 can I ask when/ why you decided to start testing more than once a day? This is my first month using OPKs to try to understand my cycle better. I know it’s recommended to test more often so you don’t miss the peak as it can happen really fast for some people, but I can’t work out when to do this!

@Natalie2304 Yeah FMU is not good for OPK's. Mine are always darker when I test a few hours after getting up. I read that it's because your body doesn't really start producing LH until you are awake.

@Natalie2304 thanks so much for the info. That’s so fascinating, I didn’t even realise that there could be such different results just in one day! Really useful to know as I will be using these as well as the Clear Blue test which is a bit vague and doesn’t always align with what my BBT chart says….gosh it’s a minefield!!

@Essexnewbie Ah ok, I won't be too worried about it yet then. Yeah temping sucks, I might not do it next month if I am not lucky this month. I had all other signs, open soft cervix and plenty of egg-white CM (for so many days in a row). Haven't checked yet today cause we BD in the morning.

This is my chart for this month, I didn't start temping right away and didn't always manage to do it at the same time when I started so it looks pretty ugly. Hoping to get a nice rise tomorrow!

@Essexnewbie I took the first one on Monday which was CD 14.
The bottom one is actually the 3rd that I’ve taken today 🙈
I track my periods using the Flo app and have done for years now and I’m pretty regular and have been tracking ovulation for a few months now too so I was sure I should ovulate today. So when this mornings wasn’t clear I kept holding my urine for a few hours and testing. I read somewhere that FMU isn’t always the best to use for OPK’s so thought I’d try my luck and there it was!
I find ovulation so tricky to catch!

@CrumchyLeafs good luck for ovulation day! 🍀 sorry I can’t be of more help with the temping, like @Essexnewbie says I think I’d find it stressful so I haven’t tracked with temps yet.

I’m CD12 today, have noticed a little EWCM which I’m pleased about (I don’t always see this every month) but still reading ‘high’ on my fertility monitor, no peak just yet. DTD tonight though as hoping I’m in my fertile window now with the appearance of the EWCM.

@CrumchyLeafs I haven’t ever done temp checking as I worry it would be something else to add to the list that I would get obsessive about! But from what I’ve read about it, it could be a couple of days later than ovulation. Fingers crossed for you.

Got my positive opk just now! DTD yesterday and Sunday so let the TWW commence!

@CrumchyLeafs I find the bbt charting really stressful too as it makes me really obsessive! But I find my temp doesn’t rise until the day after ovulation or even a couple of days so I wouldn’t worry if it hasn’t gone up yet. For some people the rise in temp is really small so I wouldn’t worry too much. Do you have any other signs of ovulation like CM?

Hey guys! Hope it is going well for all of you! Today is ovulation day for me, but only a very small temp rise this morning. Not sure if that is normal? Should it go up the day of or the day after? It doesn't help that my DH insists on having a fan on all night, also some mornings I wake up smothered by his body heat and others he is on the other side leaving me cold. I find the temping to be the hardest part of tracking, I just feel there are so many factors that can throw off the reading!

@Whoknew22 😂 I know exactly what you mean, it’s so hard not to get sucked into it all. Good idea on the cheap tests, I think I’ll get some of those, I usually use the first response tests but they end up working out expensive if I test too early 🙈 good luck for testing at the end of the week! 🤞🏼

@SantiagoSister I am going to test at the end of the week and take it from there. Got loads of cheap tests so no harm done. Promised myself not to get hung up on it all but here I am 😂😂

@Whoknew22 it’s a worry when you come off the pill and you don’t know what’s going on with your body, I had the same when I was TTC last time. Great idea to start tracking your ovulation to know where you’re at, it is a relief to know you have likely ovulated now so hopefully that’s a sign that your body is getting back into some sort of rhythm. I have never done the CM checks or temps either, as you say, it’s something we can get into if we aren’t successful initially. Are you going to test soon, or just wait to see if AF arrives?
