@MummyBear405 my only tip would be to try your hardest not to symptom spot. It drives you insane and sends you on a right rollercoaster of emotions!
Just enjoy relaxing, you've done the hard part and if it's your month then it might be the last time you feel yourself for a while!

I'm so pleased that there's a thread already, I'm only 3dpo & already losing my mind! Anyone have any tips on how to deal with the wait?

I got a blaring positive ovulation test this morning so I guess tomorrow is officially 1dpo? With how bad I've been for taking the opks I imagine I'll be testing from about 2dpo

Hi everyone! I was hoping to join this thread after being a lurker on here as I have just finished my pill only yesterday to start the TTC journey! It's so nice to read other people's experiences and be able to share my own as none of my friends and family know anything just yet 

I had negatives at 10 and 11 with my
Son and a positive at 13

I got a negative today :( but still early, I think I’m 10dpo at the latest. Felt really nauseous but could be the anxiety of waiting! Sending lots of luck to everyone

@SD89 with my daughter I got a BFN on 10DPO and then a very faint positive on 11DPO, it wasn't clear until AF was due. There's definitely still hope!

@CrumchyLeafs I’m so glad it’s not just me who is like that, it soo hard to be patient. I am wary of annoying DP with too much talk of TTC, he’s never shown that he’s getting annoyed but I just don’t want it to become that way, that’s why I’m so grateful for these threads so I can talk all my craziness out here with you guys instead 😂

@Natalie2304 I hear that so much, that it happens when you relax and don’t stress about it all. I’m glad it worked like that for you before, it must be true! I too am a massive worrier, and I can’t ever imagine not being obsessed with TTC no matter how hard I try lol I really must work on it!!

@SD89 10DPO is only a 66% chance to get a positive! Don't be discouraged! You might have also ovulated a little bit later than you think so there is still a good chance you will get your BFP soon!

@SantiagoSister I am a control freak too, especially when I get really into something and want it to happen so bad! I am annoying DH daily with talks about pee-sticks and temperature and he's like "JUST RELAX! ITS GONNA BE FINE!" but I just can't relax! It's so hard to be patient.

I have to agree with you all. It is so stressful but actually being stressed makes the changes of conceiving lower.
From my past experience when trying for my daughter, as soon as I stopped stressing about it I fell pregnant. Still took ovulation tests to make sure things were working, but stopped trying to symptom spot and obsessing and it worked.
It is a LOT easier said than done though and I know that as I'm a massive worrier! 🙈

@Whoknew22 thank you ❤️ you really did hit the nail on the head there with us wanting everything yesterday. It couldn’t be more true for me particularly, as much as I hate to admit it, I am a control freak, a full on Type A personality and it kills me that having a baby is something completely out of my control. We will absolutely get there though like you say, and we have the support of everyone on this thread who are all in the same boat too. It’s reassuring to hear of your pregnancy tests in your previous pregnancy, that really does give hope in that you really aren’t out until your period arrives. I’m so impatient I know I would’ve convinced myself it was all over if I don’t get a BFP at like 9 DPO 🤪 I obviously need to work on my patience and positivity!!

@SD89 still early. I am similar to you, I am around 10dpo and tested this morning on internet cheapie and negative.

Just to give you some hope though. When I fell pregnant with my little boy, I did a test the day my period was due and it was negative. I didn’t test then again for a week as we weren’t trying. I just felt weird and did a test that day. It was negative. Period still hadn’t arrived 7 days later so I did another test and it was positive. My periods were like clockwork at the time but since being on the pill, who knows what my periods are doing.

The test a week after my due period was only a weAk second line. Like everyone is saying, until your period is here, it’s still possible. Try not to stress.

@SantiagoSister I feel you with the pressure. As it just happened last time I thought it would again. We will get there though. They say it usually takes a few months and when you think about it…. That is absolutely fine. We just want everything yesterday don’t we? Stay strong.

@BellaBella1984 I’m CD6 today and due to O around CD12 (Wednesday) I’m going to start on the OPK’s tomorrow. As well as cycle buddies it looks like we are the same age too!

@SD89 @Essexnewbie totally feel your anxieties, it’s our first month of trying too. It’s all exciting at the beginning isn’t it, but I also have that fear that maybe this won’t be our month, and I know I’ll be so upset if I’m not pregnant by the end of the year. We were so lucky to conceive my angel first time trying, so I feel like I’m subconsciously putting that pressure on myself wanting that to happen again, which I know is unlikely

10 DPO is still quite early SD89, as they say, you aren’t out until AF arrives, so fingers crossed she doesn’t arrive for you. Good luck!

Hi cycle buddies! Just noticed I'm on CD10 and it's nearly time to pee on sticks again, better get out to the shops tomorrow. I tend to start my OPKs around CD12 as I ovulate a bit late. The pee on a stick companies make a fortune out of us!

@CrumchyLeafs glad you got your temp rise! I’m always relieved at that too, and then like you say, I analyse the rest of the temps like crazy! Maybe it is a good idea not too, I might do the same x

@SD89 everything crossed for you! It’s my first month TTC and after the excitement of starting, I’m now feeling anxious about nothing happening this month (which is likely) and having to keep positive! And only one month in! I said I wouldn’t let it get me down but easier said than done I guess.

It’s still early so you might get a different result in a few days! x

I’m jumping on with you as well!

BFN this morning, 10DPO with a FRER. This is our 2nd month trying for our first and I’m feeling a little sad. Holding out small hope as AF is due in 4 days, we will see!

Had my temperature spike this morning, so I am relieved! Now I just hope it stays up... Although I might stop taking temperature during the TWW because it will likely drive me insane.

@Hayls07 I definitely know the impatient feeling 😩 I’m waiting to ovulate some day around the weekend, then I’ll be testing at 9 DPO because I cannot wait any longer once I get to that stage! Good luck to you and @melbxldn for testing on Friday.

@melbxldn yeah I'm off work Friday so I may test aswell, I'm away the weekend after plus I'm feeling a little impatient haha

@Hayls07 I’m due then too. I might test Friday though because I have an event that I def won’t drink at all if +ve and might do 1-2 if not!
