TTC NOVEMBER 2021

Hi @newjourney21 👋🏽 I’m not sure what the official guidance is, but I had my withdrawal bleed from stopping my pill the first time we wanted to TTC, and I waited until my next cycle to then start TTC, I just wanted to see what my cycle would do naturally and have an idea of how long my cycles were etc as I had been on the pill for 10 years so had no clue! But I’m guessing it wouldn’t do any harm if you did fall pregnant before you had your first period, I would assume if your body just wasn’t ready yet then you wouldn’t get pregnant that month?

I have a question I'm not sure if anyone has an idea based on experience but is it best to wait until after the first cycle before TTC or is it ok to start straight after the withdrawal bleed? I've read lots of mixed answers!

@Essexnewbie that’s so lovely you’ve been counting down to this month, it must feel so nice it’s finally here and you can start trying! I think that sounds like a great plan, when I conceived previously we were DTD every other day, and on my peak day then we stopped. Every other day seems to be better for us, stops us getting burned out too quickly lol

But I have nausea today which is unusual for me at this stage of my cycle.

Sore boobs and tiredness which is normal. And then creamy white CM and lots of it, which is a bit out of ordinary.

Swear I can feel mild cramps starting too, not holding out much hope. Perfectly prepared for a negative this month and ready for a good Christmas.

Its my birthday on the 21st of November so at least I'll be able to have some bubbles. 🥂

@SantiagoSister @Natalie2304 thank you both so much! Very exciting and also quite scary as have been counting down to this month for almost a year now! I think we’re just going to go for every other day and then maybe daily from the peak

Thank you @CrumchyLeafs! Argh.. that doesn’t sound much fun, are you able to maybe take paracetamol instead in the TWW? I’m not sure 🤔 I’ve switched to decaff too, took a while to get used to it but I like to think I’m doing all I can to maximise my chances!

I have quit drinking any caffeine today and have the worst headache ever from withdrawal and I don't want to take any ibuprofen during the TWW. Miserable!

@gvs97 ooh I can definitely sympathise with that, I literally can’t think of anything else except TTC and babies! We’ve come away for a 2 night break at a lovely hotel for the weekend, and hopefully I should be ovulating around this weekend (fingers crossed) so hoping we can make a baby while we’re away! 🤞🏼

Hi everyone. It's lovely to read all your messages and sending baby dust to you all for this month!
I had a MMC and ERPC mid October. We have started trying again right away but really not sure if I have ovulated and if so when so it's just a waiting game. Getting lots of cramps and some lower back ache so AF may be on the way, though I felt like my period was imminent when I took a pregnancy test last time and it was positive! Going to wait until 4 weeks post ERPC and test I think.
I had a negative test 10 days after the procedure btw.

Thanks for the support and fingers and toes crossed for you both this month too!! Not getting too hung up on it is definitely easier said than done, just have to trust it will happen when it's right!

@Natalie2304 thanks, I know I shouldn't but I can't help it! I've been so tired today and then I had some back pain similar to when I'm on my period ... really trying not to get my hopes up!

Where you you in your cycle?

@CrumchyLeafs yeh you are probably right. Which may mean I am 9 DPO today. I’ll test again tomorrow regardless. Xx

@Whoknew22 yeah same, I'm guessing but have no clue if that's actually right haha. Gives us an excuse to test sooner if we got it wrong though

I thought the day after the positive ovulation test is the actual ovulation day? Do you count from the test day or the day after?

@Theresamagicalplace I was in the same situation. Had a blaring positive then the next day negative so took that I was then 1 DPO. Unsure if that’s even true. So I’m now saying I’m 10DPO but who knows if that’s right. I’m new to this ovulation testing. It’s a minefield xx
