Massive congratulations to everyone who’s had their BFP!! Every time I see a positive test on the thread I get so excited!

I need some OPK help.. I’ve had 7 days of ‘high’ readings but no peak. I’ve only been using the cheapies, then went out and got some Sainsbury’s cheap ones as I read horrendous reviews for the ones I was using. On the Sainsbury’s one I finally got a dark line today, but it’s so very thin! Would you guys take this as a positive OPK? (The top one is slightly more expensive Sainsbury’s, bottom is internet cheapy). I feel like they both have a darker edge to them? Thanks in advance!

@alexalexalex18 a metallic taste is the only symptom I remember just before my BFP with my DD. It was so strong and I was conscious other people could smell it. I even apologised to my friend when we went out for dinner but she couldn’t smell anything (she made me breathe on her 😂) it was so odd!

@Cmacq32 I’m a day behind you I think although I haven’t been doing any ovulation tests 🙈 maybe I should’ve done, I’ve just always had a quite regular cycle and I thought maybe one go and I might be lucky but now I’m feeling like maybe not this time. It’s positive to know you didn’t get a positive till 13 dpo as my last was really early so the test this morning left me a bit deflated but still in with a chance. Good luck to you. Xxx

@alexalexalex18 oh lovely I get it. Try not to put any pressure on yourself I know easier said than done though. Metallic taste I hear is a positive symptom but as for ovary pain I’m in the dark on that one. Could you phone your doctor for some reassurance? Xx

@alexalexalex18 I've had ovary pain in both sides, especially before bed. Spoke to Doctor and they said this was normal so phew!

Im joining the world of 'symptom spotting today'.

I'm 10 day PO. (postive test on the 7th) not sure if that means I ovulate that day?

Anyway... Some niggly feels, quite minor the past 2 days. A headache today also. (can't decide if thats because I was a bit stressed at also woke early). 🤷‍♀️

Honestly didn't think I'd be in the game on Cycle 1 but now I'm like oooh, could be?!

Past 3 pregnancies only positive on 13days PO so still need to wait!

I'm so scared :)) That's why I haven't tested yet, cause I don't want to go again through the negative result.
I'm the most impulsive person I know so it's a mystery for me how I managed to put it off till now :))

Am I the only one who experienced this bitter taste?
I'm asking cause I might have to go to the doctor, it's very weird :))

Has anyone who got a positive result experienced any ovary pain around the time of period? I

So I went and got the first response early detection test yesterday but I'm still afraid to test :))
Today is either day 14 or 13 post ovulation.
Still no spotting, but I have some annoying ovary pain. It's kind of like a pelvic very fain pain that radiates down my thighs.

Went swimming this morning and feeling better, but I noticed I felt very tired.
Skin is glowing, no sign of pre-period pimples.
Boobs are plump, yay :))
Bitter taste in the mouth still hasn't disappeared.

Should I test tonight?

Thank you ☺️ I have no idea how many DPO as my cycles are so irregular but it was 29 days ago I got my last AF. The only symptoms I've really had are stomach twinges and aching boobs! I've also noticed my skin is more spotty than usual, is that normal?

@Essexnewbie thanks for the link.. I tested this morning 9dpo as I got a positive this stage last time, I was hoping for a positive but no so won’t feel too defeated although I just have a feeling I’ll be on a ttc December thread and that’s fine. Good luck to you. Xx

@Essexnewbie aw thank you so much, that’s really kind of you. It’s so hard to be patient isn’t it. We can test together on 9DPO, it’ll give us something to look forward to! As you say, if it’s negative it doesn’t mean we’re out, but if it’s positive, it’s a few less days to wait to find out 🙈 a lady on another thread posted this link and I found it so helpful, you choose your DPO day and it tells you the likelihood of you getting a bfp if you are pregnant. At 9DPO there’s only a 47.5% chance a test will show positive, so there’s still plenty of time to get our bfps after that if we don’t get them then.

@SantiagoSister yeah AF should be due for me on the 30th also…I’m relieved to hear you say you won’t be able to wait because I don’t think I will either and I was feeling bad! I might try 9DPO too and just bear in mind it could be wrong, but also not to get my hopes up. I have everything crossed for you after your loss, you deserve it! X

@Essexnewbie I’m not too sure as my cycles have been a bit all over the place since losing my little one, but I think I should be due AF around the 30th November/1st December. I know I won’t be able to wait until then to test though, I got my bfp last time at 9DPO so I will start testing again then this time (even though I know it’s so early) as I’m too impatient! That’s odd about the differences between the Natural Cycles and your OPKs, like you say, maybe your temp just rises a bit later than usual? But by continuing to BD regardless you would have covered all bases, so I definitely think you’re in with a good chance this month 🤞🏼

@gvs97 let us know how you get on lovely, will be thinking of you. You definitely need some answers so I’m glad you can hopefully get them today.
I’m 9dpo, I done a test and nothing… I know it’s still quite early but I just don’t feel like I am now. It’s annoying how your brain messes with you and makes you think otherwise. At least that’s given me the kick up the backside to not test till missed period but I just think af will be here this month. Xxx

@SantiagoSister aww that’s nice to know! When would AF be due for you? I hope ours never arrive this month though 😂 To be honest I don’t think we would both BD one last time but I’ve been using Natural Cycles for nearly a year and it seems to always think I OV a few days later than all the OPKs have been suggesting. I think my temp must just rise a little bit slowly perhaps! Who knows! X

@Natalie2304 sorry you’re having an off day today, bloody hormones 🙄 your symptoms sound positive though, let’s hope maybe you’ve implanted today and that’s caused a rush of hormones which have made you feel like this. You’re absolutely not out till AF arrives though as you say, let’s hope she doesn’t 🤞🏼

I think I’ll ovulate today so will BD one last time for good measure and hope that I’ve done enough! Then the dreaded wait begins. Sending sooo much baby dust to everyone!!

@Natalie2304 I’ve woke today and my symptoms seem to have gone. So confused now, it’s 7days till AF, maybe they were ovulation symptoms no idea.
