Hi all!

We were getting to the end of the previous thread, so thought it’s best to start a new one.

A quick catch up I think mainly everyone on the old thread is as 12 months + TTC.

Newbies are always welcome.

Just sharing our journeys, supporting each other when possible, and having somewhere to moan and let it all out

All my tests were either false positive/evaps or I had a chemical, because the bloods were negative. 😬 My period is still not here though. I’m expecting it to arrive soon if it was a chemical.

If it doesn’t, then maybe I ovulated late because I had covid just a couple weeks ago, and the tests were just false all this time. 😬😬

Tinkerbell098 · 23/02/2022 11:23

@lilrosemarie any update on your bloods?

Amy259 · 22/02/2022 18:00

@HopefulGlow ha that’s a great way to look at it, no one needs a million family birthdays in one month!

Aww that’s so lovely that they were finally able to stay over! I bet you’re both buzzing for finally have it all ironed out and you can move forward πŸ₯°

Our holiday is an all inclusive resort holiday, which is far from our usual but I feel like I just want to lie around for a week and have food on demand that someone else made for me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ so it’ll be very chilled I think, I’m just hopeful the weather behaves for us.

@Fra1991 thank you! We fell on our 15th cycle, after a private tube flush at GCRM the month before - my right tube was blocked and based on follicle count, they guess I ovulate from my right about 70-80% of the time.. but egg couldn’t get down my tube/sperm couldn’t get up πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I never take for granted that we got really lucky that there was an obvious, fixable problem, and that the flush unblocked it. My Glasgow NHS hycosy appt was supposed to be this April… so I would still be waiting now for the flush. I felt guilty the same as you, but it was actually the NHS gynae prof that said if we could afford the stand-alone hycosy at GCRM to go do it and let him know how it went. He phrased it as us freeing up the space on the waiting list for another couple on the NHS.

@lilrosemarie got my fingers crossed for you!!

Tinkerbell098 · 22/02/2022 14:16

@Fra1991 thanks for sharing the price list. It looks comparable to the clinic over here.

Fra1991 · 22/02/2022 11:47

@Tinkerbell098 oh thats good! Yeah I think its a good idea - because there will be people on that waiting list that havent actually waited 2 years so it sorta makes it fairer in a way?!? I dont know.
Pricelist here:
www.gcrm.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2021/03/Price-List-2021_TFP-GCRM-Fertility.pdf

Tinkerbell098 · 22/02/2022 11:13

@lilrosemarie hope it's a positive. Fingers crossed!

@Fra1991 you are right! I've just checked on our CCG policy and it says you're still eligible for one round on the NHS if you have had less than 2 cycles privately (under 40 years). They probably acknowledge the long waiting lists on the NHS at the moment and encouraging people to go private if they can to reduce the burden a little bit. it is reassuring, but hope you won't need to go there and it'll work first time. Did they tell you what the costs would be like?

lilrosemarie · 22/02/2022 10:58

@Tinkerbell098 and @HopefulGlow thank you! :) They do look like BFPs, but since they took a while to show up, I think they may be evaps 😬 But the blood results will tell more. I’ll be back with the verdict 😬🀭 and to confirm whether these are just evaps or not.

HopefulGlow · 22/02/2022 10:55

@Fra1991 missed out the tag before haha sorry πŸ˜…β€οΈ

Fra1991 glad you’ve had your private appointment and that sounds so positive! I’m so happy for you.

I didn’t know about still getting NHS when going private so that’s such a relief and a weight off your shoulders. Obviously I’m really hoping you don’t need it and your first round is a success, or sooner ❀️

I’m crossing everything for you and this temp rise 🀞🏼 Keep us posted!!

I’m only 3/4 DPO right now. Not really thinking much right now, hoping I can stay positive 😁

Haha thanks! I do love a bit of upcycle and DIY, who knows if I’m actually good at it but it’s fun haha

@lilrosemarie they look like BFP’s to me!! And tink is right, you could have O’d later than you thought. I would still check, maybe get a bunch of strip tests off Amazon so you can use them as much as you like without breaking the bank! πŸ™‚

I’ve just read about your bloods so scratch that previous comment! Haha I have fingers crossed for you 🀞🏼 It’s so exciting, my stomach would be in knots waiting.

@lilrosemarie I can see faint on clearblue but I have heard of people not getting positives til well after af was due.
@Tinkerbell098 the doctor told me that used to be the case but they changed the rules - no idea when.

lilrosemarie · 22/02/2022 10:29

I guess there is. But I’ve never been late before, so that would be a first for me. 😬
I’m supposed to get results today between 4-7pm, so in 5-7 hours. 🀭

Tinkerbell098 · 22/02/2022 10:28

@Fra1991 your private appointment sounds very promising and 4 month wait is nothing! 1 in 2 or 3 is still great odds and yes be positive! I have read that if you have IVF privately and it fails, you can't then go on to have funding on the NHS for IVF? Is that not true? Or probably depends on the area?

Tinkerbell098 · 22/02/2022 10:25

@lilrosemarie I sort of see the very faint line on the FRER too, not sure if it's my eyes. Is it possible you ovulated later than you thought, and may still be 8/9 dpo? When would you get the blood test result? Fingers crossed this is the start of your BFP!

lilrosemarie · 22/02/2022 09:59

Hiya!
Has anyone ever got evaps like these and then AF?
I’m five to six days late for my period, I’m getting some veeeeery faint lines on ICs and I got these lines on these three tests. One FRER was negative. I’m sick of spending money for tests that don’t give me a proper result. πŸ₯Ί I feel like these are too faint for five days late?

I gave blood today to check for hcg level, so this will shed some light on the whole situation. But I’m just hoping for a good outcome, because we’ve been trying for over a year. πŸ˜₯

@AZ1992X glad you are feeling a bit better - funny how people take random aversions to things when they are pregnant.
@Amy259 thank you. Glad to hear you are doing well, its nice to have the success stories on here. How long were you ttc before you got pregnant? Glad you can go on holiday how exciting!
@LA9610 god yeh puppies are hard - especially when trying to work! How is the toilet training going? is he a chewer?
@HopefulGlow thats so cool you are doing that with furniture - I wish I had the confidence (and the skill, lol). Private appointment was Friday so he told us he would put us on the IVF waiting list which is 4 months with them just now but he also told us still to go to the NHS appointments because they will check for blocked tubes in 2-3 months and then after 2 years ttc they will put us on waiting list and means we could still eventually get an NHS round if private fails - which is good because I didnt know whether I should go to the NHS appointment we got and felt guilty but he was fairly encouraging of it as hes an NHS doctor too. In my head the first round of IVF will just work but I think its only 1 in 3 maybe 1 in 2 for this clinic at best. And thats if I even have viable eggs! but must stay positive for now!

I'm day 6-7 post ovulation (fertility friend for some reason says 6 but I think its 7). Got a big temp rise this morning but I think the room was just too warm not getting my hopes up!

where is everyone on cycles now? hope all are well x

HopefulGlow · 21/02/2022 17:03

@Amy259 that’s amazing!! I’m glad she gave you the all clear for holiday, that’s definitely what you need πŸ’•

Haha oh my goodness I bet those poor farmers look so pale seeing a pregnant lady coming to help πŸ˜‚ glad you can start taking help with you, that will definitely be a good idea 😁

Yeah I’m not feeling too anxious either because I’m trying to tell myself if we aren’t pregnant this month, it’s one less birthday I. November, we have loads πŸ˜‚ and we also have the tests to look forward to.

No clue what the next step is really, my doctor has been very vague and said fertility wouldn’t help until my OH had his tests done. So I suppose we just wait and see about that πŸ™‚

Things are going well thanks. They slept over for the first time in almost a year, so it was very emotional for my OH. Agreement is almost done, although it feels like it’s taken forever haha πŸ˜… I will be so happy when it’s actually done with and we can focus on positive things.

Have you got on plans for when you’re on holiday? βœ¨πŸ’•βœ¨

@HopefulGlow thank you - I saw my midwife today, she was so lovely and I can definitely go on holiday haha. So that’s good news! She listened to baby’s heartbeat and the baby went mental when she did it πŸ˜‚

Work have been lovely, very supportive and let me do whatever I’m happy with. I’m getting to the stage where I’m going to start taking a colleague onto farms with me, purely because I don’t want farmers to be stressed out that a pregnant woman has come along to wrangle their cows without a minder πŸ˜‚ and I can’t really hide it anymore.

3DPO is great! You know you’re definitely past the having to DTD stage but not into the dragging stage just yet, right?! πŸ˜‚

That IS exciting, so soon too. It’s a great step, another box ticked on the list β™₯️ What’s the next step after that, have they discussed that with you guys yet? And how’s the situation with his kids going…?

HopefulGlow · 21/02/2022 15:21

@Amy259 oh my goodness that’s amazing!! It’s not too long at all πŸ’•

I’m so sorry, I’m glad they’re checking up on you. Fingers crossed there’s some better news on your next scan but as you said, the main aim is home safe with healthy baby πŸ’• it’s so good that you remind yourself of that too. I’m sending all my positivity your way πŸ’•

I am only about 3 DPO now. The dreaded wait BUT I have plenty to keep me busy and occupied 😁

My OH has his tests at the beginning of March. I’m so nervous but excited to get it done, it feels like it’s taken forever. And it’s a little sad because naive me thought we wouldn’t get that far and we would get pregnant before this. BUT it’s a step in the right direction, so I need to remain optimistic πŸ₯°

How’s work been? Are you managing okay? βœ¨πŸ’•βœ¨

Amy259 · 20/02/2022 12:04

@HopefulGlow yeah 26th June so I’m 5 months in, 4 months to go! Still breaking it into milestones - 2 more weeks and they’re a legal little human.

One of the (feels like many!) spanners in the works is that at my 20 week scan I found out I have a low lying anterior placenta.. so it’s near my cervix on the front right of my tummy. Meant I felt movement much later and if it doesn’t move up as my uterus grows, I’ll need a section πŸ™ in some cases you need pelvic rest too - not much walking, no sex, exercise or, in severe cases, flying! I haven’t been told any of those things though so hoping tomorrow when I see my midwife she says we can still go on holiday 🀞🏻

This means I don’t have a current birth plan πŸ˜‚ they’ll rescan me at 32 weeks and decide, and if it doesn’t move I’ll have a section at 37/38 weeks. Right now my plan consists of β€œcome home safely with a healthy baby” haha.

What stage are you at in your cycle just now? Any upcoming investigations/appointments etc? X

HopefulGlow · 20/02/2022 11:54

@Amy259 I bet it’s such a weird thing. To feel like it’s dragging but also going quickly! πŸ˜‚ is June your due date? That feels so soon!! 😁 do you have any birth plans?

Yeah I’m not very good at preparing, I just dive in and sometimes learn the hard way πŸ˜‚ I never strip stuff, I cannot be bothered!!

I will post some photos when it’s done if it’s nice haha

@HopefulGlow thank you! Yeah you’re right, I would say the days are dragging but when I look at the whole picture, the weeks are really ticking by. There’s just always something to worry about, I just want it to be June now πŸ˜‚

I love that you do up furniture, I’m not brave enough πŸ˜‚ I’ve painted a couple of pine things white but that’s about as far as it goes.. I never know if I’m supposed to strip first, or treat it with something. I should just be more brave!

@AZ1992X Granny Smith apples, grapes, and carrot and cucumber with hummus are my life when I feel particularly rotten. I was pleasantly surprised that fruit and veg helped after the first couple of months when I lived on crisp sandwiches…

Glad you’re feeling a bit better though, hopefully as time goes on it continues to ease 🀞🏻 X

HopefulGlow · 20/02/2022 00:22

@AZ1992X glad you’re managing some foods, it must be so strange trying to figure out what you can stomach too. Fingers crossed the sickness eases for you. πŸ’•

So happy your hubby is being super supportive too, sounds like he’s enjoying looking after you and helping where he can ❀️

OP posts:
AZ1992X · 18/02/2022 07:30

Sorry I’m a nightmare at trying to keep up. Tablets are defo easing the sickness but still feeling nauseous. Appetite isn’t the best but trying to eat as much as I can but meat is a no-go. Cannot bring myself to eat it. Fruit seems to work fine so keep eating plenty of that.

@HopefulGlow thanks for the boards - had a quick look and I’m doing some of them, might try a few more.

OH has been an absolute angel, feel bad he’s been doing so much especially in the days I’ve not been able to do much at all.

@Amy259 I haven’t thought to look at them yet so might have a look at some threads.

Glad everything’s going well and agree a holiday sounds perfect! ❀️ X

HopefulGlow · 17/02/2022 17:42

@Amy259 eeeeek so happy you’re all doing well. It’s crazy how far along you are now, I bet it’s flown by and dragged all at the same time. It sounds like this holiday is much needed and will be a perfect little break for you both. Fingers crossed for some nice weather and relaxing times too.

Yeah im okay thanks. Plodding along 😁 the house is lovely thank you! I’ve been getting cheap furniture off Facebook and doing it up. I’m very excited πŸ˜‚

What’s everyone’s plans this weekend?

@AZ1992X how are you feeling? Thinking of you, hubby & bean πŸ₯°

@AZ1992X glad you’re doing well mentally, that’s half the battle I think. And definitely glad you’re managing to keep some food and fluids down now, that a nightmare for you.

Have you seen any of the β€œdue (month) 2022” threads? I’ve been following the June one since I pretty much found out and even though I don’t post on it, it’s been such a help to read lots of people with the same worries or queries as me, or symptoms, feelings etc. Has made a big difference.

@HopefulGlow hello!! Bump and I are doing well thank you, now 21+3 which is slightly crazy πŸ˜‚ DH and I decided to sneak away to Lanzarote for 6 days next month, so got that to look forward to. How’s everything with you? Still loving the new house?
