Hi all!

We were getting to the end of the previous thread, so thought it’s best to start a new one.

A quick catch up I think mainly everyone on the old thread is as 12 months + TTC.

Newbies are always welcome.

Just sharing our journeys, supporting each other when possible, and having somewhere to moan and let it all out

@Amy259 I know, same!! It really pisses me off that we have to even think about that in the UK. I'm still waiting on my 1st appt from the NHSπŸ€£πŸ™ƒ after googling I think I might have a fibroidπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ ahh im sure you are going out of your mind waiting! Will be thinking of you at 6pmπŸ€žπŸ»πŸ’›

@HopefulGlow thank you. I'm glad I know what's going on in there now... I have regular periods but haven't ovulated in a few months so I knew something was going on. My mum has PCOS as well so wasn't a total shock... albeit a horrible feeling that my body doesn't do what it's told lol what stage of your cycle are you at now?✨

HopefulGlow · 18/11/2021 11:38

@AZ1992X I’m so sorry, that’s heartbreaking. Was it period like bleeding? I really hope you are getting the support and comfort you need right now. Sending lots of love and positivity πŸ’•

@LA9610 Augh, anxiety is the worst. I’m sorry you’re struggling.

What will you do to try and ease it? It’s such a horrible feeling, especially when nothing seems to ease it off.

@xoJellyBean so sorry about your diagnosis!! Thank goodness they’ve spotted it and hopefully this will help with knowing what to do moving forward? Did you have any symptoms of it before?

@Amy259 that sounds like a good idea! Only say what you’re happy and comfortable with and don’t be afraid to put people in their place if they’re out of order 😏

Your attitude sounds much better than hers, that will definitely help!!

You need to let us know how it goes!! 😁 βœ¨πŸ’•βœ¨

@xoJellyBean hahaha literally every time someone tells me something medical I’m like β€œI really need to sort out private health insurance” and I’ve still not got round to it!

That’s great that there’s a plan of action already, once the MRI is done. It’s never just one thing is it??

It’s not until 6pm, which right now may as well be 2023 πŸ™ƒ

xoJellyBean · 18/11/2021 11:19

Yes you're right @Amy259 it does help, in a way! It explains a lot and clearly why I haven't got pregnant 🀣 consultant wants to prescribe me clomid 🀞🏻 once I get this bloody MRI out of the way. We've gone private, so goodbye bank balance! What time is your scan? 🀞🏻

Amy259 · 18/11/2021 11:10

@HopefulGlow I think I might tell them a very short and condensed version of my story, just so they understand a bit more. The other girl who is pregnant had a very β€œso I can’t do anything now” whereas I’m more like β€œso what can I still do??” and my boss reminded me that those are two very different attitudes that will be felt very differently by colleagues. That made me feel a little better.

Ahh more viewings is exciting 🀞🏻🀞🏻! And yeah I would probably want to mute that chat too… my mum just text me to say my cousin’s wife is pregnant, just had the 20 week scan and haven’t told anyone before now because they had a late miscarriage last year. All sort of emotions reading that!!

@AZ1992X I’m so sorry to hear that β™₯️ In a way I’m pleased you don’t have to wait around for answers, but I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Hoping you’re getting lots of love and support β™₯️β™₯️

@LA9610 sorry to hear you’re not feeling great today. I wish I had magical tips for managing anxiety - if you find out, will you let me know?! πŸ˜… how’s your tummy/cramps today?

@xoJellyBean Jesus, what a week. Hopefully the diagnosis helps in a way? Will you be given any medication or anything? Sorry, I don’t know much about PCOS, I had just heard of clomid being prescribed to regulate ovulation but that’s all.

Fingers crossed for your MRI and that it comes back showing it’s nothing to worry about/something super easily managed β™₯️

Thanks everyone - it’s just an 8 weeks early scan, not my NHS one. It’s absolutely dragging for me πŸ˜‚ a bag of worry, but hoping for good news tonight to ease that a little 🀞🏻

xoJellyBean · 18/11/2021 10:59

@AZ1992X soo sorry πŸ’› hope you're okay.

@Amy259 all the best for your scan tonight!! 🀞🏻✨

I've been quiet (againnnn) but officially been diagnosed with PCOS this week. Also have a 'mass' attached to my womb so that's... interesting. Off for an MRI next week πŸ™ƒ

LA9610 · 18/11/2021 10:43

@AZ1992X so sorry to hear that, can't believe that is happening to you again, its so unfair 😭 sending love to you.

@HopefulGlow, not great to be honest. Barely slept last night, anxiety through the roof at the minute and work is stressful. I'm exhausted already πŸ˜‘

Definitely mute the chat so you don't need to deal with that if you don't want to!

@Amy259 hope everything goes well with the scan tonight and it can put your mind at ease! Glad your boss was really understanding too, that definitely helps and hope you don't get any grief from colleagues.

AZ1992X · 18/11/2021 09:52

Morning ladies,

Just a quick catch in so apologies for not responding to everyone.

Unfortunately I started bleeding Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning with really bad cramping so that hasn’t helped!

@HopefulGlow so sorry to hear you didn’t try the house. I’m keeping my fingers crossed something even better comes along that you’ll love equally as much or even more 🀞 & sorry about the hearing too - it sounds like you’re having a shitty week, I hope you’re taking some time for yourself.

@Amy259 that’s come around so quick, keeping my fingers crossed all is well ❀️❀️ Cannot wait to hear xx

HopefulGlow · 18/11/2021 09:41

@Amy259 oh my goodness I can’t believe it’s scan time already 😍😍😍 that will definitely help πŸ’• I know some people say the nausea and sore boobs can come in waves. So it might come back with a vengeance next week, or you could be a lucky sod and avoid it all together 😁🀞🏼

I’m glad it went well telling your boss! That’s one less thing to worry about. I really hope your colleagues are nice to you, they have no idea what you’ve been through to get here, so they need to be careful with their chosen words.

I’m doing better today thanks. Another viewing tomorrow and on Monday, so that will be nice. My SIL just sent her first scan photo too, I can’t believe it! I’m so happy for them but might put my family chat on mute while everyone gushes πŸ˜… I feel so bad.

@HopefulGlow I ended up having to tell my boss yesterday.. things are a bit mad and I was going to be sent off to do pretty risky (disease) stuff and my hand was forced into telling her early. She was wonderful! So that’s one down, just my colleagues to worry about now.

Tonight is scan night. I’m really anxious if I’m honest. My nausea and sore boobs have eased a little this week, they’re still there but not as intense. I expected them to still be getting worse at this stage, so it’s a little worrying and I’m glad I’ve got the scan tonight.

How are you doing after your not so great start to the week? β™₯️

@LA9610 I hate that feeling in jeans! We’ve all been there πŸ˜‚ the feeling after you eat in them too, where it feels like you might just explode!

How are you doing this morning?

@AZ1992X hope your week away is going well and you’re managing to get even the littlest bit of escapism from it all β™₯️

Hope everyone else is having a good week too! Xx

HopefulGlow · 17/11/2021 20:45

@LA9610 oh no!! I’m so sorry, I hope it’s not the case.

Does this mean you’re back in the office full time now? I hate wearing jeans now too because I’ve put on weight since lockdown and they feel too constricting haha

It sounds like you need to have some tlc!! Get some good food and chocolate in and get back in some comfortable clothes πŸ₯°

I’m so sorry you had a teary journey home though 😞

Do you have any plans this weekend to look forward to? βœ¨πŸ’•βœ¨

LA9610 · 17/11/2021 20:00

@Amy259 @HopefulGlow thanks ladies.

To be honest I'm just starting to feel like my period is coming because I've been soooo bloated today. I had my first day back in the office since March 2020, none of my work wardrobe fits anymore (I've gained a good 14lbs πŸ˜’) so I ended up wearing my only black skinnies but they are also too small so I was literally in pain between the bloat and had shooting pains in my stomach, either period cramps or caused by the jeans being too tight.

Ended up crying in the car all the way home (I always cry for absolutely no real reason just before my period comes) so I'm just convinced AF is going to appear in the next day or two. CD 25 tomorrow and it was a 25 day cycle last month so wouldn't be early for me.

HopefulGlow · 17/11/2021 15:59

@Amy259 thank you! It’s really frustrating but I need to focus on the positives. πŸ’•

How are you feeling? Have you spoken to work yet? Or was it this Friday?

@LA9610 I’m with Amy on this one too, I was clueless when it came to my cervix but I know so many people use it successfully. I’m crossing all my fingers for you and a BFP this month 🀞🏼

Also….how is it only Wednesday??? πŸ˜‚ this week is dragging βœ¨πŸ’•βœ¨

OP posts:
Amy259 · 16/11/2021 19:58

@LA9610 some people on here swear by it! Mine just didn’t play ball and stay consistent πŸ˜‚ it goes high at ov but that’s about it. It wasn’t high when I got a bfp but it went high within a couple of days, so had I not tested really early at 9dpo and waited until af was due, it probably would’ve been high before I got my positive (I hope that made sense πŸ˜‚).

Fingers crossed for some amazing news on Friday 🀞🏻🀞🏻 I’m always so impressed by all you girls that can hold off testing! X

LA9610 · 16/11/2021 17:01

@Amy259 ahhh okay I'm not going to take that as it means anything then! As I said I don't pay too much attention to it so it could well have been this high on other months too, I just thought it odd that I couldn't actually feel it at all this morning, this late in the cycle! I've got my normal week before period munchies and otherwise everything is just normal, no reason to think I am pregnant tbh but will see over the next few days. AF likes to play tricks on me so if it's a cycle we haven't 'tried' or don't think we hit the right dates, AF appears CD 25-26 like clockwork but on cycles we have tried it can often be later like 27-28-29. My last couple of cycles I've had no cramps or anything beforehand it's just come on really quickly so will see what happens at the weekend. I'm due on Sat but I have dinner and drinks planned on Fri night so I'll probably have to test just to make sure.

Amy259 · 16/11/2021 16:09

@AZ1992X I agree with HopefulGlow, just do whatever makes your head and heart feel comforted - whatever you feel like you need to do, for sure. Hope you manage to have some fun with your family β™₯️

@LA9610 I tried to track my cervix at one point and gave up because a couple of times it stayed high until af was already here, other times it was low in the days before it, it was all very confusing and not consistent at all. But if yours is consistently low in the days before af and this month it’s different then that definitely sounds promising! 🀞🏻🀞🏻 Got everything crossed!

@HopefulGlow I’m so sorry about the house, that’s rotten. The next one will be even better, I’m sure of it! And I’m sorry about the hearing, that must be so hard for you and your OH, and the kids too I’m sure. Sending you lots of love! Xxx

HopefulGlow · 16/11/2021 11:45

Hi all! Sorry for the silence on my end. But I just needed to drop in and say hi! πŸ’•

We didn’t get the house and the hearing didn’t go well. His ex said no to everything which means we now have to do a final hearing next year! Im feeling a little deflated and down.

@AZ1992X I’m so sorry to hear your news, I can’t imagine the heartache you are feeling. I really hope that isn’t the case and it surprises you, but please know we are all sending our love your way!

I would do whatever you like this week. If you fancy a little drink, have one! If you need a dip in the hot tub, do it πŸ’• anything you can to make yourself feel a tiny bit better.

@AZ1992X really sorry to see that, got my fingers crossed that all is still okay and hope you can enjoy your time away.

@Nora11 sorry AF arrived 😭😭 you are right, life can be so cruel sometimes.

I'm now on CD23, AF due in 4 days, I dont test for ovulation but 10DPO according to Fitbit estimation. I noticed this morning that my cervix is really high, I dont normally pay any attention to it the only reason I actually noticed was because DH and I DTD and when my cervix is low sometimes it can be a wee bit uncomfortable during sex.

Been looking online and I think my cervix should be low again at this stage in my cycle (if not pregnant) but trying not to get my hopes up that this means anything?! Anyone else had high cervix and not been pregnant?

AZ1992X · 16/11/2021 08:11

@Amy259 @Nora11 Thank you Both, it means a lot ❀️ - I hope you’re both doing ok!

Yes, I went yesterday - currently away now, survived day one πŸ˜‚. Part of me is thinking just do whatever you like now this week but I have this niggle saying still be cautious. (Like I’m expecting a miracle and it will have changed)

Anyways, hope everyone has a nice week and I’ll check in later in the week ❀️❀️ Xx.

Nora11 · 15/11/2021 14:06

Thank you @JasmineW88. Also just wanted to be clear in my post when I said about being surrounded by pregnancies etc I didn't mean you πŸ™ˆ I actually find it so encouraging reading stories like yours and genuinely so happy for you after your long journey! It's when it's people I know in real life that I find it difficult, even though I am happy for them too. Wishing you a lovely pregnancy, birth and beyond πŸ’–

Thanks @Tinkerbell098, I'm trying to focus on doing everything I can for this fresh new cycle now... We will get there!

@Amy259 thank you and sorry you had to go through that too, especially being treated that way by your gp 😒 it definitely is so much more than just another AF. I still have my first positive test hidden away at the back of my sock drawer πŸ™ˆ sometimes I look at it just to remind myself it's possible to get that far! But it's so hard to remember how relieved and excited I was and how quickly that was crushed πŸ’”

JasmineW88 · 15/11/2021 13:58

@Nora11 @Tinkerbell098 @Amy259
Thank you for your kind words.

I know it's rubbish to hear when somebody else gets their time. No matter how genuinely happy I was for my friends family as they fell pregnant around me, you really can't help that sadness and feeling of your heart dropping a little.

I will love and leave this thread now.

You've got this ladies!
My thoughts and good wishes are always with you all.
Lots of love and luck to each and every one of you.
xxx

Tinkerbell098 · 15/11/2021 13:27

@JasmineW88 wanted to be clear. those were tears of joy xx

Tinkerbell098 · 15/11/2021 13:26

@Nora11 so sorry this isn't your month, but please don't lose hope. We are all in this together.

@JasmineW88 congratulations! I cried a little reading your story. It gives us all hope. Thanks so much for sharing and all the very best for the next 9 months xx

Amy259 · 15/11/2021 13:20

@Nora11 I’m so sorry af has arrived today, that’s great that your colleague was so supportive. Yeah I was the same when I had what I’d rather call a really early loss - I hated how minimised it seemed to be everywhere, including by my gp unfortunately.

It’s really not the same as AF coming and it shouldn’t be thought of as just another month of disappointment, because you’re that much closer and the hope is 100% there as soon as you see the second line πŸ’”

@JasmineW88 congratulations - wishing you a healthy 9 months!

Nora11 · 15/11/2021 13:04

@AZ1992X I'm so so sorry πŸ’” life is unfair and cruel. I hope you are still able to enjoy your time away with your family. And do take all the time you need to heal from this. I agree with @Amy259 'chemical pregnancy' is such a minimising term. A loss is a loss and it's especially hard when you have waited for so long for your positive 😒 I have been there too and remember that terrible dread as the tests started to fade... Really hope you are okay and will get your baby soon ❀️

Thank you for sharing your story @JasmineW88, so happy for you! Really needed a positive story today. ❀️

My period started this morning and I had a bit of a cry at work (I realised when I went to the loo just after getting in). Luckily my colleague was really kind to me. I'm also surrounded by newborns and pregnancies @Tinkerbell098. It's so hard and feels so soooo unfair.
