Hi all!

We were getting to the end of the previous thread, so thought it’s best to start a new one.

A quick catch up I think mainly everyone on the old thread is as 12 months + TTC.

Newbies are always welcome.

Just sharing our journeys, supporting each other when possible, and having somewhere to moan and let it all out

@LA9610 wow! I can’t believe he’s turned 1 already, that’s gone so quickly!

I’m sure it’s a difficult decision, with knowing how long it can take but also not wanting them to be too young together. It’s a lot of work 😩

unfortunately I’ve been really ill. I have HG, and the sickness has been horrible. I keep telling myself I’m lucky to be in this position though πŸ₯² were you ok with yours?

@Lauralozzle thank you so much! We were really surprised. As we were still saving for IVF while my partner started taking HCG injections 3 times a week to try and help his levels.

i’m so sorry you are still on this journey. How are you holding up? I hope you still have amazing support around you.

Part of me wishes I told more people so they could have been there for us and known what we were going through.

@HopefulGlow Congratulations that’s excellent news.

@LA9610 How time flies! Such a lovely update.

Unfortunately I’m still very much on this rollercoaster of a journey. Looking to hopefully have our fourth transfer in next month or so.

LA9610 · 30/01/2024 11:56

We are good thanks :) He turned one at the start of January and I went back to work a couple of weeks ago, seems like my year of mat leave just flew by so quickly!! Sad to be back to work but also kind of nice to get a little bit more adult time/time to myself whilst I am working.

Any sickness or anything to contend with? My DH is eager to have another one but i'm not sure I am ready yet, with him working offshore it's a lot on my shoulders, just feel like having 2 so close in age would be a lot to deal with but then knowing that these things don't just happen either makes it hard to decide πŸ˜‚

HopefulGlow · 30/01/2024 11:26

@LA9610 Thank you so much!!

how are you and your little one doing? ❀️❀️

@Lauralozzle i hope you got the answers you were looking for ❀️❀️ and you are doing well ❀️

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted but I wanted an update for anyone who was looking at this thread.

After over 3 years of trying, testing and hoping, we finally got our BFP!! Due in August and I’m still in shock. Hopefully this gives hope to others doing through this difficult journey.

Thank you so much everyone for all your support and positivity.

sending you all baby dust ✨🩷✨

@HopefulGlow I’m okay about it. I’m quite excited to be moving forward, I think stims will feel much shorter than down regulation so it’ll feel like I’m making progress (hopefully). First stims injection tonight, so two injections overall. I’m looking forward to gaining some fridge space, it’s the little things lol! πŸ˜‚

That’s good they’ll do bloods and scans whilst you’re on it. It’s worth a shot at least, and being monitored might help identify something.

HopefulGlow · 19/01/2023 15:12

@Lauralozzle thats frustrating about the scans. Glad you have February as a date now though. I bet you can’t wait to get the collection out the way.

how are you feeling about it?

yeah I was really frustrated but at least now we know. I just keep telling myself at least we have some answers.

they are going to do bloods and scans while I’m on it. I just need to wait for all the info and prescription to be sent to me now. They did say it might not work though due to the low results of the SA. But my partner has done some research and got himself some clomid too. I know they use it in other countries to help with testosterone and low count, so he said it’s worth trying while I take mine? So we will see if it works :)

how has it been taking the medication for IVF? No bad side effects I hope βœ¨πŸ’—βœ¨

Lauralozzle · 18/01/2023 21:19

@HopefulGlow I had a down regulation scan 29th Dec, but I hadn’t down regulated so had to take a trigger shot to ovulate and wait for another bleed. I had my second down regulation scan today, which thankfully has worked. I start Stims tomorrow so it’s looking like early Feb for egg collection/transfer.

That’s so frustrating that they hadn’t said anything about ovulation and now they reckon you might not be ovulating properly. Also sorry to hear the SA was worse. Hopefully it’s a bit of an anomaly though.

Hopefully the Clomid helps. Have they just offered it, will your cycles be monitored whilst you’re on it?

HopefulGlow · 18/01/2023 21:05

@Bubbles1995
how are you doing? Did you have a nice festive break and new year?

@LA9610
sorry it’s been a while again. I’ve been trying to distract myself. Nothing came from my procedures and we had our final appointment with our fertility doctor today.

apparently they now think I’m not ovulating properly (don’t know why I’m only just being told this) and my partners SA is worse than his first sample πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ So they have offered me clomid. He can get a few more tests but then it’s onto private, as they told us today we don’t qualify for NHS. Which I knew through reading our areas guidelines, but I wish our doctors told us this over a year ago when we started the investigations.

have I missed your due date?! Ahhhh so sorry if I have!! hoping you & family are well! ❀️

@xoJellyBean hiya! How are you doing? HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can’t believe it’s been so long between me posting. Sorry about that :)

updated above a little about my journey. It seems never ending right now πŸ˜…

@Lauralozzle
how is your IVF going? Sending you lots of positivity ✨

i just want to apologize to you all for being so quiet. I hope wherever you all are in your journeys you are happy & trying to stay positive πŸ₯°βœ¨πŸ’—βœ¨

@xoJellyBean hi. Hope you're well! It's been a while since anyone has posted on here!

I'm currently 24weeks pregnant with my baby girl πŸ’•

Lauralozzle · 14/12/2022 07:51

@xoJellyBean All good here thanks.

IVF cycle has started now, currently on injection 5 of down regulation. Looking at Jan for egg collection/transfer.

xoJellyBean · 13/12/2022 23:10

Hi ladies, how are we all?

LA9610 · 25/10/2022 16:41

Hi @HopefulGlow!

So lovely to hear from you :) I hope that the break has done you well and i've got my fingers crossed that the HSG brings you some luck in the next few months or that there is something more the NHS can do for you <3

The holiday was great thank you, Sorrento is such a lovely place! Little bean is doing good thank you for asking, just hit the 30 week mark today... :o cant quite believe it will soon be a single-digit countdown! I've been really lucky, once the nausea disappeared around 14 weeks i've had a really easy ride so far, hoping that continues for as long as possible.

Bubbles1995 · 25/10/2022 15:38

@HopefulGlow it's not been too bad which my anxiety worse. Probably having a worse 2nd trimester than I did 1st. But all good. Doesn't seem real yet x

HopefulGlow · 25/10/2022 14:42

@Lauralozzle good to know! They told me it won’t affect my cycle but Dr Google said otherwise too. It’s just hard not to get your hopes up when your period is late isn’t it!

so sorry to hear about the hospital messing you around, what a nightmare! It’s so frustrating when you’ve already been waiting so long too. Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon now the paperwork has come through :)

@Bubbles1995 oh wow! A baby girl!! Congratulations πŸ₯° that’s incredible news. I’m sure it feels so surreal. Hopefully you aren’t having too bad symptoms now πŸ’–

@HopefulGlow I've heard good things after people have had HSG so fingers crossed for you!

Thank you we're all good I'm 16 weeks now and we're having a little girl. All going well and we're in shock as we lost all hope after a year and half waiting!

Lauralozzle · 25/10/2022 13:18

@HopefulGlow My period was about 7 days later than usual after my HSG. I ovulated a week later than normal after it.

So, I’m not much further. CARE wouldn’t do anything until I had my appointment with endocrinologist and got the ok from them. That appointment was rescheduled by hospital by a month and it took them 6 weeks to send me the letter.

Things are starting to move again though as been sent some paperwork on portal to go through.

HopefulGlow · 25/10/2022 11:18

Hi everyone, so sorry for the radio silence. I’ve been trying to work through things with a counsellor and they recommended trying to tune out baby things and step back a bit.

i just wanted to see how everyone is doing as I think about you all and want you to know I’m still sending baby dust and positivity to you all πŸ₯°

@Lauralozzle how are things going with CARE? They have such a good rep and I hope they are looking after you. What’s the latest with your journey?

@LA9610how was your holiday? How are you and little bean doing?! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯° so happy for you!

@Lkdjul glad your procedure went well, sorry about the polyp. Any news on this now? I hope things are going well.

@Longbin how is the clomid going?? Also how did lap go? Fingers crossed for you 🀞🏼

@Tinkerbell098 thank you for that article! There is hope for us yet πŸ₯° how have you been? How’s your journey going? πŸ’–

@Bubbles1995 oh my goodness congratulations!! So sorry for the delay on sending them. I hope you and little bean are doing well!! πŸ’–πŸ’–

I had my HSG test a few weeks ago, all good and clear and it was too painful which was a relief! However no AF yet and it’s driving me crazy. 4 days late, no symptoms and BFN. What a tease. Just waiting for my partner to get his next set of SA done as the first one was done in a different hospital and apparently they can’t read the results 😩 we have now gone past our 2 year mark but I am feel better all in all.

still have some anger/frustration issues to work out over this but I’m definitely not as miserable about it all now. So that’s hopeful?!

just need to wait to hear from our consultant about next steps and if we can get any further help with the NHS. If not, private may be the way to go for us…when we have the money πŸ₯²

they did say that a lot of people are more likely to conceive in the 3 months after the procedure I had, so fingers crossed for that.

sending you all love and positivity βœ¨πŸ’–βœ¨

@Bubbles1995 congratulations! That’s amazing news.

Bubbles1995 · 27/07/2022 11:09

So guys I got my positive on Monday night on a cheapie. Took a clearblue early detection digital and came up positive with PM wee and it was a dribble as well! (Sorry TMI). We're cautiously excited but hoping for the best. Not going to keep on testing for now but not sure what to do not to set of the symptom checking and anxiety!

Tinkerbell098 · 21/07/2022 10:20

@HopefulGlow nice to hear from you. I saw this article that was shared on another group I am on. Read the below bit and I thought of you:

"It will also now be possible to access fertility treatment on the NHS if one half of a couple has a child from a previous relationship."

It sounds very promising, not sure when it will be actioned though!

HopefulGlow · 20/07/2022 21:47

hi everyone!

I’m so sorry I’ve not been talking guys. I really hope you’re all doing okay and I’m so happy to see some of you are moving on in your IVF journeys. I wish you all the best, please keep us posted.

I’ve just been trying not to be on here as much and try and not get too consumed with it all. I hope you understand and I have been thinking of you all ☺️

still no word from our referral but the doctors receptionist said we won’t get any help on the NHS anyway. So we are looking into saving for private now.

sending everyone lots of baby dust to all

@xoJellyBean @Lauralozzle still here! Waiting for my nhs IVF round. First nurse appointment is in a couple of weeks time. I’d be told timelines then I guess. So still waiting!
